He is actually British because he lives in the British Isles :D And Irish people have close cultural and ethical ties with the English, most of the time you won't be able to distinguish them(apart from the accent, but in England there's TONS of different accents anyway) :S (also, they only became independent 80 years ago)

It most likely is the majority of where his viewers are from. No reason to be offended. Sure, it's annoying but you can not expect him to sit there and list all the countries his viewers are from. That would take ages and be even more annoying.

Well, the book just came out so he's got to say it when he can. If you are desperate for the book, I'm sure you can discover some way to get it. Most authors don't choose where the book is released, that's the publishers.
