@@dabears5185 update: ended up watching it bc it was the only movie less than 2 hours long. It reminded me of Leon Phelps the Ladies Man. This definitely had an SNL sketch to film feel to it.
Saw it yesterday and this is one of the best movies I saw in a long time!! The music, the paintings, the comedy and tears! It has everything!! ❤️🙏🏻

Not many people realize, if you connect all paintings from all the episodes ( original tv series ) They will show a journey throughout the landscapes and other beautiful places. Great stuff

Got to watch this movie early! I loved it. Owen Wilson is hilarious as Carl Nargle. Definitely give this movie a chance when it comes out. You will be pleasantly surprised.

So, this is about a copy of Bob Ross that is slandered and dragged unwillingly into the modern art games of marketing and politics between painters? And the main joke is he is completely infuriated, but he is too pleasant to let it be known in any big way, but everyone around him makes massive deals about the minor ways he expresses it. Interesting name for the main character -- Carol Nargle. Before there was Bob Ross, there was John Nagy who taught drawing. His sets are still available.
So, does the movie acknowledge that he looks like Bob Ross? And if not, why does he look like Bob Ross? Are they really just appropriating the image of a beloved figure to trick people into going to see a movie about a completely different, somewhat unhinged character like this trailer seems to imply? Because that would be really gross. But I haven't seen the movie, so I don't know.

He stole the newspaper because they're writing bad things about him, and he doesnt want people to see it. The dialogue right before that states that "he doesnt care what people think about him" How on earth do you get paper mache out of that.

I just saw this movie. It's brilliant! Ignore the reviews. Critics these days think comedy needs to be vulgar and full of potty mouth, so this movie wouldn't have looked like a proper comedy to them. Also, this is not a Woke feminist film, as some suggest.

I am apalled , there is no other painter that i would like to see paint, bring canvas to life in front of your face. Bob Ross was my biggest influence into painting and this is a misrepresentation of my favorate painter.
