Thanks for staying consistent with you content and even keeled. I came to one of your classes in 2022 because of following one person, but have since quit and still following you. your skills are amazing and you are no-nonsense.
I have a similar NC lamp. The ”auxiliary white” mode Dave demoed is a “true sunlight white” mode that won’t change the colors on a map like the main white mode which has more blue than sunlight. It’s subtle but makes a difference sometimes.
I LOVE my Pathfinder Headlamp. The velcro option for mounting to your ball cap is unique and priceless. Super lightweight. Perfect for the campsite, whcih is where I use it 95% of the time.
I've got two of the NU25 models, the old micro usb version and the new one that seems identical to this. Great headlamps, last well and plenty of light in a bery lightweight package. Having usb re harging means you always start a trip with full battery and they have good water and dust resistance. Worth the money. Their ultralight power banks are good too 20000 mah one is as small as most 10000 mah ones.
Cool review. My favorite headlight is one that with on click it turns on, and then turns off with another click. The one you showed looks cool. I may have to give it a try.
Might wanna double check if your lamp uses less power on red if that is why you are using it. I say this because I was just looking at replacing my old Fenix flashlight and saw they have a tactical version with red and green that I started looking at and run time for red is less than the high on white. There is only one red brightness at 150 lumens for 4h20mins and the hight white is 350 lumens for 4h40mins.
I have used a Nitecore flashlight as a duty light for 15yrs and it still going strong. Backup for when my gun is holstered, a SRT5 I think? Nitecore = Good
I love the ul25 but it’s the most complicated user interface I’ve ever experienced. Will pick this up to share with kids and wife who can’t figure out mine.
Thanks, my go to headlamp finally gave up the ghost. Charge port pulled out of it, ripped right off the main board. This will make a fitting replacement.
If you could combine in your next lamp the two power sources, USBC and 3 A battery, you would probably make several people happy. Looking forward to seeing your next innovations (you are the Elon Musk of outdoor).
I like Olights array 2s. I bought it when my petzl RBG housing broke. I wanted something with a metal housing and usb c charge port. Still going strong 3 years later
I've had a Nitecore 32 for a long time now. It's heavy, but the battery lasts for a really long time. The one thing I don't like about my wonderfully lightweight Pathfinder headlight is the battery runs out so quickly. The waterproof cover for the charging port broke off after a few months. Not a problem for me on the daily, but in some circumstances would be. I've been looking at these smaller Nitecore headlamps, because of the terrific experience I've had with the Nitecore 32. I didn't realize the Pathfinder headlight could be locked out... or maybe I forgot that. I'll have to look that up because often lately I have put it into my pocket just before it gets dark and then found out it had turned on. No worries about not telling us how long it lasts on different modes. In my experience those are so inaccurate as to be useless metrics. I know my Pathfinder lamp has never lasted as long as claimed, even when brand new. As long as it's decent compared to other headlamps it's good enough. Those times are likely to change and get shorter over time anyway. I really appreciate Dave reviewing and recommending products that he doesn't sell along with the products he does. If only all content creators had such a sense of fairness and integrity.
I for one do not like rechargeable lights but I bought the thrunite headlamp that has Firefly mode that is less than one lumen and it also has the option of 1,010 lumens and three modes in between. On Firefly mode it'll last 28 solid days. It is all metal Construction and comes with a rechargeable battery that uses a USB-C but you can also just throw in any AA battery that you find in many other devices. Love this thing
I seem to always leave a headlight on at night because I’m constantly looking for eyes! Doesn’t help that I listen to Mr. Ballen and Windigoon all the time 🙄
I like Nitecore handheld flashlights but not the headlamps. Their 'ratchet' system never send the light where i need, its too high or too low. I guess they have too few teeth, at least the model i bought (and gave away shortly after).

Missing outdoor gear…. A good large cowboy coffee / water boiler. GSI has 36 cup but quality is lacking in my opinion. Vintage are hard to find undamaged.
The NU20 Classic does have a lockout option. Just press both buttons together for 3 seconds.

I know that head lamp is very popular with thru hikers. I personally don’t have one, but a lot of thru hikers I’ve watched really love that lamp.
Nitecore makes some amazing stuff.
Thank you for being so honest. Great job Dave. Love your stuff and your content
Hey Dave thanks for taking the time to test the product and showing how useful it is.Really appreciate it ❤

The ultralight hiking crowd has come up with some interesting stuff. Anything useful that's under a couple ounces seems like a no-brainer.
I LOVE my Pathfinder Headlamp. The velcro option for mounting to your ball cap is unique and priceless. Super lightweight. Perfect for the campsite, whcih is where I use it 95% of the time.
Thanks Mr. Dave for all you do.
Great video, thank you again for sharing.
Ive had this headlamp for 2 yrs and its still working perfectly. I own 4 different headlamps and this one is my 2nd favorite.
Just picked up a NU25 UL last week. Absolutely love it! My last headlamp went into the Rocky River this spring when fishing for chrome.
Gotta love Dave helping keep Americans loaded up with gear for election year.
Nitecore products in general are AWSOME quality and their reps are always most helpful at shows! 👍👍🇺🇸😁
We've seen the Light. Hello from Australia.
Dave is the King
I have both the pathfinder headlight and the Nitecore nu25. I love them both.
I've got two of the NU25 models, the old micro usb version and the new one that seems identical to this.

I have the nu25, its great and definitely has a lock out.
I’ve been using this Nite Core Headlamp for awhile now and really like it. Thanks for the review.

I just three days in the woods using the PF headlamp and it’s rock solid. I especially like the green lamp mode.
I have this headlight, and it works great 👍
The NU11 is $14 and will do almost all that. Fat clip with beam angle change and sensor chose for on/off.
Thanks, my go to headlamp finally gave up the ghost. Charge port pulled out of it, ripped right off the main board. This will make a fitting replacement.
I use the headlamp and bring 2 of the Nitecore Thumb lights for backup and redundancy. All 3 lights about around 4 oz total.
Great recommendation. I’ll probably get one since I’m in need of a new head lamp.
If you could combine in your next lamp the two power sources, USBC and 3 A battery, you would probably make several people happy. Looking forward to seeing your next innovations (you are the Elon Musk of outdoor).
Thanks Dave, much appreciated SIR. USMC
I’m pretty sure you can lock the nitecore by holding the red and white buttons down at the same time until it flashes once. Unlocking is the same.
I like Olights array 2s. I bought it when my petzl RBG housing broke. I wanted something with a metal housing and usb c charge port. Still going strong 3 years later
Good informational video. I have a RGB headlamp and use the red light the most at night. I guess I learned that from being on a ship. LOL
Nitecore is a solid manufacturer

It has lock out, usb c, battery level indicator, beacon and sos.
NICE DAVE IHAVE TO CHECK IT OUT
Thanks Dave
Thanks Dave.

Thanks Dave!!! 👊🏻💪🏻
Thanks Dave!
Love a good headlamp. I have them stashed all over the place.
A Good Headlight.. Essential
hold both buttons down for a few seconds to lock the buttons out so you don't accidently turn it on in your pocket.
Hey Dave, when are making the video?
I seem to always leave a headlight on at night because I’m constantly looking for eyes! Doesn’t help that I listen to Mr. Ballen and Windigoon all the time 🙄
Where did you get the Dynema pouches?
I like Nitecore handheld flashlights but not the headlamps. Their 'ratchet' system never send the light where i need, its too high or too low. I guess they have too few teeth, at least the model i bought (and gave away shortly after).
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Where do you get the pouches?

I have several of the older NU20 Headlamps that have just one light. They work great.
🇧🇷🇧🇷
Missing outdoor gear…. A good large cowboy coffee / water boiler. GSI has 36 cup but quality is lacking in my opinion. Vintage are hard to find undamaged.
Yo
NU25 is a bit brighter - under $30.
According to nitecore both buttons for 3 seconds locks out light.
The nitecore can also be locked out
Good to know I’ll take a look at that
Dave, ty, Nitecore makes a fine product, however I prefer a lockout mode, red, white, and also blue or green, so for me this light isn’t for me..
discontinued
This cold white (5500K) should be banned. Use warm light.
