This thing is pulling man. I used to have one of these and I'll always love these neon srt-4's. I had a Delta 46 at 28psi with meth injection and all of the bolt ons. The car was an animal. I would beat 500whp 03-04 cobras on the highway and surprise the crap out of people. I remember when I first got my DSP with the 93 octane tune when I was fully bolted on the stock turbo; HUGE difference in performance lol. Nigel on srtforums eventually tuned me when I went big turbo and that car was amazing. I sold it and bought a 2008 C6 with Heads cam and full boltons. I loved the SRT-4 so much that I ended up buying a daily driver 2010 mazdaspeed 3 and I'm already modding it lol! Nice car man!
sounds like you have a boost leak .... that high pitch noise when u hit 15 psi is all their rushing out .... you should do a boost leak test to fix the leak and you will have even more power :D .... i had the same issue. turns out that my surge valve (stock mopar BOV) wasnt sitting flushed with my turbo.
You can hear that boost leak from a mile away...not like its uncommon for srt's. Most likely in your hot/cold pipes. And atleast run the gears all the way out if your going to rip it, didn't even seem like you hit 5k out of 3rd
I have already said it a few times, but the whistling you are hearing is completely normal for these cars. It's the shape of the tubing, it's ribbed to allow for expansion when under boost. They are not any more likely to get a boost leak than any other high boost car (remember 14.7 lbs stock). Getting t-bar clamps and zip ties will solve that problem.
that whistling sound is an obvious boost leak, like previously stated check intercooler pipes and their couplers. i had a leak on mine sounded just like that and was just the connecting coupler between intake manifold and intercooler pipe
In this video, the whistle is not a boost leak. I did have a knock off Greddy type RS bov that had a kinked up diaphragm that did leak a little but it maybe affected the boost by 1psi. Still running the 93 tune today, with a stage 2 wga. Spiking 20psi holding 16psi. Still no wideband or else I'd adjust the wga to spike 22-24 so it would hold 18-20 which is about close to the limit of the stock turbo. Currently just under 92,000 miles.
Ralph Pehrson That's correct. Now they only actively make the Diablosport "Intune" (low end) and "Trinity" (high end/more features). Typically sell for $300 and $500 respectively. If you want the old predator people usually sell them used for ~$150-$200 on forums and local groups.
It could also be a broken boost gauge. It's known that the stock gauge was cheap and very likely to fail. The high pitched noise you are hearing is not a boost leak. Mine made this sound straight from the dealer. It's the intake pipe.
Yes - it's ribbed and expands under boost. If you're familiar with the ribbed tubes you would get at the circus a long time ago, that you would spin above your head, this is the effect that is generating that noise.
The whistling that you are hearing is actually due to the way that the intake pipe is shaped. It's ribbed to allow for expansion under boost. Kind of silly, but thems the facts. If you want to get rid of it you have to change the intake pipes.
Chace Elliott Incorrect info... the whistle is actually the boost control solenoid bleeding off air. Nothing to do with the intake design. Lol. Change the stock boost controller and noise goes away. Change the intake and noise will still be there.... do ur RESEARCH. Or better yet, do some experiencing if u know how to work on cars.....
Luke Skywalker hi Luke, I think this srt just have a exhaust and cai mod, with this new dsp mod, coz mine sound like this one And I’m with the same mods
This is a handheld plug tuner. There is not need for reading AFR. The DSP tune is completely safe as long as you run 93 octane. Assuming that your car is otherwise in good condition/health
If you are saying this car has a boost leak you are wrong. The whistling that you are hearing is actually due to the way that the intake pipe is shaped. It's ribbed to allow for expansion under boost. Kind of silly, but thems the facts.
thats the dumbest thing I've read in a long time...it changes the tune of the car. The computer runs more boost with that tune than stock, of course it makes more HP, its prob. 20-30hp increase, which has actually been proven unlike the nonsense you just wrote.
are you insane? the 93 tune makes the engine think it is running a higher octane fuel. has nothing to do with boost of the car LOL. typical wanna be car noob
***** it's called a 93 octane tune because it's recommended to run 93 octane fuel because the perameters that the boys at Diablo use to tune that extra hp tune can yield more power using 93 octane and is safer to keep knock down! Have you ever been in a Srt that has this tune? In my Srt it is night and day different! My friends challenger the same thing don't knock Diablo when your just spitting shit out your ass! Listen to the bov in this video! Just hearing the difference in the sound you can clearly hear it has a different tune you think it's a placebo affect? The only thing I ever seen on you tube about any device not working a.k.a doing nothing are those bull shit e-bay $1.99 hp chips Diablo is proven tried and true! Seeing your comments it's like your saying banks and all those tuners don't do anything look on the net you don't have to look far to see they obviously do their job
I HAVE a diablo super tuner son...i use on my 2500 hemi and my challenger. only thing is helped with gas millage. there was NO INCREASE WHATSOEVER on the dyno...when both were run. So....keep talkin. you just sound silly.
Diablo super tuner mmm I think that's your first problem they don't make a super tuner as for the sport tuner thousands of happy customers possibly hundreds of thousands of customers who have seen a difference on a Srt 4 neon it's the same as going stage two better exhaust note better ptb control ( part throttle boost) if your not happy E-mail Nigel for a tune E-mail tunes are only $50. It's also possible you got a bunk tuner? Everyone I know online or real life loves theirs! First and last step to modifying your car
Those look fun as hell to drive! Love my SRT 10 Ram, but this is a whole different beast!
The DSP has been dyno proven to increase power by 15-30hp and tq at the wheels.
This thing is pulling man. I used to have one of these and I'll always love these neon srt-4's. I had a Delta 46 at 28psi with meth injection and all of the bolt ons. The car was an animal. ***** You buy it, and you install the tune yourself with the hand held.
Gas couldnt hurt next time
get some gas foo ;)
lol

What did u adjust on the dsp?? And howmuch boost?!
You can hear that boost leak from a mile away...not like its uncommon for srt's. Most likely in your hot/cold pipes. And atleast run the gears all the way out if your going to rip it, didn't even seem like you hit 5k out of 3rd

Chace Elliott False. The intake pipe does not expand.
mine sounded like that, and 100% know it didnt have a boost look.
does it have an intune I could just plug and play have a stock turbo agp wastegate 18 psi would I also need colder plugs and wide band? thanks
going to damage your fuel pump...doing pulls on "E" is poor consideration for your mopar dude...smh
Did you ever check for the boost leak?
The whole video I was like please don't run out of gas I gotta see what happens. Nice vid man can't wait to get mine soon
that whistling sound is an obvious boost leak, like previously stated check intercooler pipes and their couplers. i had a leak on mine sounded just like that and was just the connecting coupler between intake manifold and intercooler pipe

where do you get this tune from? and how much did it cost?
It's a handheld tuning devise called DSP (Diablo Sport Predator) and it comes with the 91 and 93 octane tunes. You can buy them used cheap.
So they don't sell them unless used now?
Ralph Pehrson That's correct. Now they only actively make the Diablosport "Intune" (low end) and "Trinity" (high end/more features). Typically sell for $300 and $500 respectively. If you want the old predator people usually sell them used for ~$150-$200 on forums and local groups.
So are you on a stage 0 with a stage 2 wga off pcm controlled boost?
Jw how did you get the dash cracks?
Yeah, it was barley boosting like 10 on the stock tune...you got a leak somewhere buddy. The 93 DSP should be spiking near 19-20 too.
It could also be a broken boost gauge. It's known that the stock gauge was cheap and very likely to fail. The high pitched noise you are hearing is not a boost leak. Mine made this sound straight from the dealer. It's the intake pipe.
@@VoxVirtus86 the intake pipe?
Yes - it's ribbed and expands under boost. If you're familiar with the ribbed tubes you would get at the circus a long time ago, that you would spin above your head, this is the effect that is generating that noise.
how the shit do you get rid of that annoying turbo whistling bullshit, Not the spool and blow off but that high pitch noise? Awesome video btw
The whistling that you are hearing is actually due to the way that the intake pipe is shaped. It's ribbed to allow for expansion under boost. Kind of silly, but thems the facts. If you want to get rid of it you have to change the intake pipes.

Chace Elliott Tell me how the Intake pipe is going to expand...please.
what is your boost guage saying? any supporting mods? or just the dsp?
I know it’s an old vid but were you running a stock intercooler?
Luke Skywalker hi Luke, I think this srt just have a exhaust and cai mod, with this new dsp mod, coz mine sound like this one
And I’m with the same mods
I hear a boost leak fix it /:
I'll bet this car is blown up or wrecked now.
You wrote this 6 years ago I wonder where the car really is now lol
@@nickenos76you wrote this 4 years ago. I wonder if the car is still on the road?
bov?
Had the same reaction when I flashed mine. Need to get the intune 2 or i3 now
Would the new Intune 3 be same tune or different? U mean
It's that noticable the 93 tune? Prob huals ass with jus intake and exhaust with jus that dsp tune
Well I'm definitely getting that diablo.
How’d you get the tune? Link?
Car is still strong pal.
Very nice
Oooh yeah big difference that shit is movin for stock ima look in too. A tune thanks
You need a wideband the ds tune is known for being lean i bet 100 dollars if you install a wideband your afrs are in the 12s
Marcos Mendoza you realize 12 is rich right?
Amigo todavía tienes el neon te lo compro, antes de que se deteriore
Why?
Can u 2 step ?
You look like Frank Mir! LoL
Nice SRT4 bro!
I love how you don't give a shit lol
1/4 tank wtf. do another one with more than 3/4th a tank
Stop looking at the camera your not in a high school play
Don't burn up the fuel pump when the gas light is on.
lol
So, what it does to a 2500 truck is irrelevant
no wideband? That's not good..
This is a handheld plug tuner. There is not need for reading AFR. The DSP tune is completely safe as long as you run 93 octane. Assuming that your car is otherwise in good condition/health
Chace Elliott So even if he changes the tune do you still say its not going to be lean?
Why add an "RPM gauge" When the tach is right there?
He didn’t add an “rpm” gauge. That gauge is the stock boost gauge lol.
And enough with the freakin blinker
I have a neon with glasspack and stuff i wanna add rpm gauge and stuff can u make a video on how do that
nope srt is limmited by factory 15 psi. it goes down when u get up to speed.
You can change it with the tuner. I ran 19 psi on my old SRT4
any "tuner" that would tune a car with a boost leak is not a tuner.
That's not a boost leak.. That's the normal sound from the Short ram AEM intake.
If you are saying this car has a boost leak you are wrong. The whistling that you are hearing is actually due to the way that the intake pipe is shaped. It's ribbed to allow for expansion under boost. Kind of silly, but thems the facts.
You are a complete moron... Please never drive again.
lol the Diablo SUper Tuner 93 tune does jack squat lol. it was mythbusted and tested on multiple aftermarket tune channels on youtube. silly kids.
