Pretty mind blowing that band members from Diamond Head, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus, and Sepultura were all performing on stage at the same time.
I remember this..i wasn't jumping around or moshing..i was just in awe of what was happening in front of me..i don't even think i blinked..amazing thing to witness.
You know the best part of this for me? The fact that Dave and the guys in Metallica have finally reconciled they're differences, it's so nice to see after all these years.
What makes this even cooler is to have not only Brian Tatler of Diamond Head up there, but also, Andreas from Sepultura and Gary Holt from Exodus. This being teh first time in almost 30 years that Kirk Hammet and Gary Holt have shared the stage together! Damn UK you got the best version of this jam!!!
I missed every other band that day but metallica and then that happend and it just blew my mind i was so drunk going into that and i just had the time of my life but il never forget when james stops for a second and says were going to speed it up a little or something like that and at the top of my lungs I screamed dyers eve and he said “not that fast” 😅 one of the mighty titans of metal had answered me 😎
13 years ago, at age 11 I first heard Metallica, and fell in love with them; effectively falling in love with metal. Following that I became fans of Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer. Metallica have always remained my main love out of the Big Four, and it took 13 years to see them live, along with the other three... And I bore witness to this. If God is waiting to smite me for my sins, fucking kill me now. I will die one happy bastard!
Very many thanks for taking the time to post this...am no real fan of any of these bands but am old enough to have been a fan of Diamond Head and very pleasant that the bands give kudos to Mr Tatler
Very cool, Sepultura have been my favourite band since 1989, Beneath The Remains is the best album ever IMO. Havn't been too keen on their last few albums though.
Ah, thats awesome. I missed this bit. We left after Enter Sandman, as we got there late on the Friday and went srtaight to watch Megadeth, so we hadn't set up the tent. It took us 1 hour and a half to find the car and after attatcking, I mean trying to put up the tent, I think it was about 3.30 beofre we went to sleep LOL
I am surprised to see Kerry King on stage, I am sure if Jeff was touring, he wouldn't show up, he was really a recluse, but the most amazing man in thrash metal, Slayer will never be the same.
I ain't the best heavy metal fan but when I was here live I knew this was special moment . Never heard too much of Anthrax and Slayer but daaaaam their drummers were insane. Megadeath audio was a let down. Metallica smasaaashed it!
Pretty mind blowing that band members from Diamond Head, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus, and Sepultura were all performing on stage at the same time.
testament too! Dave Lombardo was there
This is like the only concert that i finally saw slayer on stage.
Where the vocal?
I remember this..i wasn't jumping around or moshing..i was just in awe of what was happening in front of me..i don't even think i blinked..amazing thing to witness.
Lucky 🥺🤘🏼😏

Lars: can I just say something real quick
Guy in crowd: "No!" XD
When Joey's not singing he's the most vicious air-guitarist and air-drummer I know.
You know the best part of this for me? The fact that Dave and the guys in Metallica have finally reconciled they're differences, it's so nice to see after all these years.
true

Anthrax, Slayer, Sepultura, Megadeth, Metallica and Exodus, the Big 6!
This is one of the best things ive ever witnessed live, easily
Imagine being Brian in this. Some of the biggest metal bands of all time gathering together to jam out a song you wrote in 1979. Crazy
4:35 - Brian Tatler - "GO, MY CHILDREN!"
my first festival and seeing a band live :D most amazing moment in my life so far :)
First band I saw many years ago (1980) had Diamond Head playing at my home town. I was there for this too it was awesome I wish Soni was still going.
The way Hetfield kneeled down to Brian it was like a i'm not worthy moment lol.
Lars-"can i just say one thing?" guy in crowd- "NO"
Dave lombardo should have played drums

I was there that night, one of the best nights of my life. Musical royalty on stage, this is exactly what music is all about.
I missed every other band that day but metallica and then that happend and it just blew my mind i was so drunk going into that and i just had the time of my life but il never forget when james stops for a second and says were going to speed it up a little or something like that and at the top of my lungs I screamed dyers eve and he said “not that fast” 😅 one of the mighty titans of metal had answered me 😎
Hetfield, Holt, Bello and Lombardo on the same stage holy fucking shit !
Thumbs up to Frank Bello for wearing a Faith No More t-shirt onstage. That was a fun filled evening and a legendary weekend.
Thought I'd put this on to reminisce, I feel like my life peaked seeing this at 16. What could possibly beat it?
James’ voice is the best on that stage.
Everytime when I look to the You Tube Big 4 links, I feel so proud to be alive !!!
