Looks like it was all a big misunderstanding. The bear accidentally wandered up with her cubs, the dogs defended their property, the bear defended her babies, the teenage girl defended her dogs. Wow!

Should be lucky the bear didn't get ahold of her. Look at how fast bears are capable at swing their paws at dogs. Beyond lethal speed if that hits in in your head, let alone what the claws or jaws will do. I think it was more risky than it was worth tbh. Probably why it's a good idea to have plenty of sharp gardening object nearby so you don't have to rely on just your hands to fight a bear 😭
Nothing low key about it. Out of thousands of people I've met, I know of very very few extremely tough men who would ever do anything even remotely so badass as that.
She was extremely lucky that the bear was distracted by the dogs and didn't really see her coming. She caught the bear off guard and off balance.

That impulsive, irrational young woman lived to tell her grandkids about her stupidity ONLY because 1. The cubs retreated and didn't fall off the concrete wall onto the patio. 2. The wall was concrete and not wood and 3. The momma bear was focused on getting to her frightened cubs. Period.

Neighborhoods need wildlife corridors to allow wildlife to pass through without confrontation with pets or people.
There’s no fence or barrier that keeps bears out. It would have to be a moat kind of set-up like at a zoo. :( It’s sad that they lose their natural habitat and then when they become a nuisance, they are killed. :(

She worked out the situation quickly: (1) Mama bear's #1 instinct is to protect her cubs, (2) her cubs had moved away from her, (3) getting 🐻 off that wall in a surprise move meant (a) saving her own pups, (b) 🐻 would have to go against her #1 instinct to climb back onto that wall. Stupid move would be to reach for her dogs, which she did not do until the bear was thrown backwards.

Exactly, the bear was only try to help her cubs not fall over the wall, I'm sure had the dogs not been trying to jump up and attack her cubs, momma bear would've kept going minding her own business, helping her cubs across the wall, probably to the woods.......cause if you see the video, the momma bear wasn't even worried about those dogs until the dog leaps up to try and bite her cubs. I'm glad the young lady is ok, but I don't care what anybody says, any mother is going to protect her babies...they love their babies just as humans do. I'm glad everyone is safe. We can't discredit the feelings of animals.... that's the reason we have wildlife game wardens, to make sure wildlife isn't being treated inhumanly. They protect our natural resources and wildlife. I know, my father was one for over 30 years. However thank God neither of them were seriously injured.

the bear with its cubs... really surprised the bear didn't attack the woman. only explanation I can think of is the combination with all the dogs barking, bears really do not like a pack of dogs barking and can make them scared
@@moo1484 She acted quickly & caught the bear off guard. He was reaching for 1 of the small dogs, really didn't see her coming she was quick as lightning & immediately pushed the bear off the wall. Smart move on her part, yes she is very brave, thank God it turned out well as it did. Anyone notice the bigger dog went 1st at the bear, high tailed it back as soon as he realized it the bear was much bigger, bigger claws, bigger bite than than him. To bad the smaller dogs didn't realize he wasn't with them.

She determined the bears weakness and acted upon it to give her time to get her dogs to safety. Two mothers, one victor. And yes she was lucky that she kept the mother bear from going to ground in her yard. But not all situations are the same, so be very careful.
