The best I have gotten here on the East Coast is about 71/2 mpg. That was on fairly flat terrain without our toad. Normal for us is 51/2-61/2 mpg towing our 4 door Jeep Wrangler with two adults, 3 large dogs and maybe about a quarter tank of fresh water. East of the Mississippi I'm always dealing with hills everywhere we go. I'll update when we do Route 66 and back in a few months. I should note that I try to run Premium gas as the manual suggests, although it says regular is ok.
Kats Kamper One more question. I’ve heard reports of problems with the Cable Slide system. I certainly don’t need those headaches. Have had any problems with yours?
@@formerfuzz None so far and we run ours out and in quite a bit both in the campgrounds and we have them out at home. If you haven't already checked it out www.forestriverforums.com/forums/

Kats Kamper Thanks for the real experience report. We are looking to buy the 34DS which is 5’ longer and a little heavier. Stay Safe.
@@formerfuzz Thanks We are enjoying ours.
