We done it in High school in 80's. Feet use was considered cheating. I was the only one in our school known to do 3 1/2laps up/down, only one able to do with one peg, backwards and with someone hanging off my feet. 30 ' rope climbs were fun too. Nearly anyone can climb with use of feet, it takes more arm and core strength to climb without. Don't teach people to climb with feet. This has a tendency to allow pegs to come out on climber. Trust me, it happens.
Did this in High School in the 80s. We never used feet. Never skipped a peg and always kept elbows bent. Me and a friend competed daily. I was able to get up and down 3x no peg skip and no bent elbow. My stomach hurt for a week! My friend who was way stronger couldn’t do 2 but he was able to do it backwards! If you want a strong core do this but not this way. Remember no feet. Elbows always bent and don’t skip a peg. Keep doing this and you will get rippled.
Yea ayy mate I'm 17 and we have 1 at my school you keep your legs dangling down and loose only using you upper body with 90 degree arms like you said and also never skipping holes SMH people cheating these days
Your feet aren't helping you climb the board. You aren't pushing up with your legs. Your legs simply help with balancing and bracing your body as you pull out one peg and place it higher on the board. You are still using only your biceps and back muscles to ascend the board. If you've never tried the board before then I highly suggest trying it out the next time you have the opportunity to really feel what's going on while your feet are on your wall.
BCORBAN7884 yes, but why take away the balancing act? A major gain of peckboarding are the improvements of coordination and core stabilization... If you use your feet, your core won’t have to work in order to be as stable as possible!

U got the point!
How did your friend do it backwards? His whole front body was facing away from the pegboard? Pretty impressive.

who did that? 1:06
It looks like he is floating cuz he is so good at it lol
Obviously you should practice slow negative pullups and isometrics to get good at this
Don't use your feet on pegboard !!
Why use your feet? Totally defeating the purpose of upper body training. SMH
I started doing this and also don't use my legs what so ever. All arm work

What kind of board is underneath ? White smooth ?
Thats our old homemade whiteboard, I believe the technical name is melamine(?). Definitely not required for the peg board climb:)
Im 14, in 8th grade, and i can do the pegboard in my school gym without my feet. its pretty easy ngl
