- Kanji's "It's a Dream" Route story cutscene, where he manages to meet up with Naoto and seems to have something to say to her.
Persona 4 Arena is a fighting video game co-developed by Atlus and Arc System Works for arcades, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; the game is a spin-off from the Persona series, itself part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise.

As he says, Naoto isn't in Inaba at the time of this happening. So when he runs into her, of course he's going to assume it's not really happening because as far as he knows she's not there.

the English translation gets kinda lost in meaning, it's unfortunate. In the original dialogue in Japanese, Naoto calls Kanji "Tatsumi-kun", and Kanji is asking her to stop calling him "Tatsumi-kun" and call him "Kanji" instead. And you weebs should know that calling someone on a first name basis is only reserved to close friends and family, so that's why it's a big deal.

@@erob9446 it really is not. In English we call people on a first name basis all the time no matter our relationship. Just adding a 'kun' at the end to mimic Japanese doesn't make it 'distant'.
Again in Japanese, typically only close friends call each other by first names, and this goes double to boy-girl, girl-boy. I would say if we HAVE to make a comparison in English, it's kinda like when you graduate from school but you remain good friends with your teacher and eventually you stop him 'Mr. Smith' and instead just 'John'.
