This is a real thing that happens. Have seen it with WP rounds when they are shot at a really low elevation and hit soft ground at a shallow angle. They’ll ricochet and fly off to never-never land in a big plume of smoke and fire.

I personally would go with the Leopard 1, lower tier, less of a clusterfuck if you get uptiered, especially caswise, and it is overall a pretty good tank, does decently in uptiers, it is a monster in downtiers and is above avg especially with the bigger gun. I havent tried the Leopard 2 prem, but I have the tech tree variant and the event one av2 or something I think, and they are fairly survivable and decent tanks, they do well hull down and are more survivable than the Leo1 if you use them right, downside is uptiers, more top tier murder machines, and cas from hell. Trust me, if you intend to grind, the Leo1 is the more enjoyable and compared to its peers the better option.

Purely based on the fact that you can be more of a help to your team by bringing the TAM 2IP or another tech tree vehicle in your lineup. No one likes a 1 death leaver, and a 2 death leaver (with a backup) is not much better. All in my opinion, feel free to disagree.

Something i just noticed in the video that if you use ammobelts like the BTR does it even displays in the Killfeed if the enemy is killed by the one HE round in the belt 7:46! Nice detail
It actually isn't the same autocannon as the bmp2. The bmp2 uses the 2a42, which has an option to use a higher fire rate that they for some reason don't use in warthunder, whereas, the btr80A has the 2a72, which is a lighter, simplified variant with a lower number of parts, a longer barrel, and higher muzzle velocity, but also a lower rate of fire. It is long recoil-operated, not gas-operated. The bmp3 most likely opts to use it since it's more of a secondary weapon and a higher fire rate is not worth the extra weight and complexity. The new BTR-90s use the bmp2 cannon, the 2a42.

I actually quite like it, it's a great scout and I've found that it is extremely fast as well, and drives quite smooth considering. Plus it makes a great close in SPAA, my only gripe is the reverse gear honestly

No, it is the red arrow visible at the top right of the screen at 22:20. The game displays them when there is an enemy nearby off screen. How well it works is based on your crew's vision skill. He wouldn't be talking about cheating in a video as it is lifetime ban and very rare in WT. Every time you noobs think someone is hacking or cheating, you just don't know how the game works. You should get gaming headphones. It lets you "see" people through walls and hills. They freak out and report me all the time. Hilarious children.

I play USA 6.7 and when Germany is not on my side, people just quit after dying twice while the german team keeps spawning and wins the match 😂 I think spawn points should be reduced, especially CAS. You shouldn't be able to spawn a third time after getting two assists -_-
If I were making the BTR 80, I would have just used the 30mm on the M53/59 and fitted some sort of belt for it if I knew it was going to be placed in War Thunder.

When you're talking about smoke shells, are you talking about : - those fired by the gun like other conventional rounds ? (HE/AP/Smoke/Etc..) or - the smoke canisters/dispensers/launchers that are unlockable in the tank's modifications?
when the game gives me the mission to take 8 kills with anti tank...... i take out the 2 m36 with the help of one M-18.. so is playable and survivable that idea with the open tops
They DESPERATLY need to do something about the audio in this game. It is probably the most scuffed aspect right now. I had a T-34-57 in a game today that sounded like he was about 50m ahead of me behind a building so I sat there staring at it...nope...10 feet behind me. The directional audio is just as bad, if not worse, than Tarkov at this point. Despite them "fixing" broken engine noise about 16 times in the last year. Whoever keepings working those bug fixes needs a come to jesus talk, all they've done is make it worse.
Not showing the absolutely pitiful 10 mm of pen on the stock rounds, only to upgrade to 35 mm of pen with the next best rounds before the final tier FSDS rounds is an absolute disservice to the awful grind.

I run it with my T-55AM-1 and it fares so much better at 8.7~9.7 especially against TAM'S, Leo's, marders and patrons.

Smoke in the air is a product of a glitch with smoke rounds. They will explode on impact but the smoke activates in the air. Weird glitch right now.

Odd you should play the Strv m/42 EH, it’s got a 75mm APHE round with more explosive mass then an IS-2 round iirc.

Smoke shells are broken for me… they end up in the air and they don’t even go off sometimes when i shoot out in front of me.
Started recently
When you're talking about smoke shells, are you talking about :
- those fired by the gun like other conventional rounds ? (HE/AP/Smoke/Etc..)
or
- the smoke canisters/dispensers/launchers that are unlockable in the tank's modifications?

Smoke shells as well as he tend to bounce off the ground if it’s soft enough. That’s why there s a puff of smoke imo
Makes no sense at all as soft ground bounces things LESS.

They DESPERATLY need to do something about the audio in this game. It is probably the most scuffed aspect right now. I had a T-34-57 in a game today that sounded like he was about 50m ahead of me behind a building so I sat there staring at it...nope...10 feet behind me. The directional audio is just as bad, if not worse, than Tarkov at this point. Despite them "fixing" broken engine noise about 16 times in the last year. Whoever keepings working those bug fixes needs a come to jesus talk, all they've done is make it worse.

Not showing the absolutely pitiful 10 mm of pen on the stock rounds, only to upgrade to 35 mm of pen with the next best rounds before the final tier FSDS rounds is an absolute disservice to the awful grind.
