  • How to spend a family day at Folsom Lake? We don't have little kids anymore, and typically, when we head to our "home" lake of Folsom Lake, we try to get away from people!
We try and stay away from barking dogs, screaming kids, and humans 😂
But, we also understand if you are planning a day-trip to Folsom Lake, and especially if it is your first time, it can be daunting on how to navigate Folsom Lake.
In this video, we show you where it is rather easy to spend a day at Folsom Lake. Beals Point on Folsom/Auburn Road in the Placer County area of Folsom Lake, is very easy, and there are a lot of amenities for you and your family.
A lot of your days fun is dependent upon the water levels. In 2020, and 2021, the water levels were very low and getting to the waters edge was challenging. As of the recording of this video, May of 2022, the water levels were very nice, a lot better than the two previous years!
So, we hope you enjoy our video and find it helpful and get outdoors!

I remember those days when my daughter was little , we went to these kinds of places, lakes, beaches, etc. Anywhere near the water. Thanks for sharing. Summer is here.

YES! Headed there tomorrow, well, not at this part of the lake, but at another part. More secluded.

Yes! Thank you. We spent last night there too, and the fish were jumping! We weren't fishing, but they were all around us 😀

We've nothing against kids, dogs or humans! 😄 Place looks amazing.. the parasols on the beach in all the little nooks and the guys playing volleyball! Sipping a cup of wine watching it all... my kind of day out!!

Yes, but if you ever visit, this isn't the part of the lake you really want to go to 😆There are other areas that are calmer and serene. Cheers 🥤

Folsom Lake is always awesome. Funny how when I lived closer I never really took advantage of it. Great highlights! Keep them coming! -g

We’re with ya on the kids & humans, but dogs always get a pass in our book. 😊 And look at it this way, they might help keep those pesky squirrels out of your shot for ya! 😜 The lake looks nice. I’ve only ever passed Folsom en route to other places, so I’ve never had the chance to actually visit - or see the lake. Great McGiver-ing for the camera. Whatever it takes to get the shot! 👏

Thanks, guys! Yeah, it's not even the dogs, but more so their owners who don't abide by the rules. Good point on chasing the squirrels away!

Loved the video, loved your engineering solutions, was a bit put off by “ the sound of rattle snakes, snakes in Oz tend to kill you, and thought the walking with camera worked. I imagine a day out chillin with you guys would be fun and relaxing.

Yeah, I have learned NOT to listen to music when walking around these neck of the woods, because you need to hear the rattle! Thanks Mike!!
