I love how Oro makes all his builds look OP (although some are, looking at you Angel) he’s actually just absolutely cracked at this game.
He consistently uses strong weapons or abuses mechanics to get easy wins.

8:26 I think he stunned you so fast here because he hit you with the dual Sweet Sixteens. You can see them several seconds later when he's one the ground with you. Part of his strategy seems to be to use both of those at the same time with the kicks for massive stagger right off the bat. If you fire 2 guns at the same time you also don't suffer from lack of accuracy from recoil, provided it's only a single blast like the shotguns.
Miss this series and armored core content in general. Everyone forgot the game. Fromsoft included
For real. I started playing the game a few weeks ago and i'm already at NG++. Definetly replaying it again to get Liberator of Rubicon again.
Pile Bunker is my favorite weapon of all time in most games it's in, it just so nice to have a weapon who's main idea is "I'm going to hit you really really hard."

I love pairing the pulseblade with the laser lance, its so hard to land the pilebunker
The most ommon error people make when using the pilebunker is shooting the zimmerman or SS before getting swapped to the bunker.
The second error is getting greedy and shooting from too far away.

Hey Oro, I absolutely love your build videos. I would love to make some quality builds of my own, but I find myself overwhelmed with the amount of options like what core or head piece to use. If you find it interesting, I would love to see a video where you talk through different build types/theory, or discuss how you should approach a build.
You should check out chrighttt he has breakdowns videos for all the parts and what they do and helps you understand better to build an AC
Pile bunkers rarely catch people "off guard". I see an AC loaded up with one enter my lobby and I am immediately wary of the bink. I see it coming but it still kills me all the damn time!

Not too different from the build I normally use, I just have a laser rifle in the left hand and keep the plasma mine thrower on the left shoulder instead of pilebunker. Vientos are a decent replacement for the Zimmerman if you want faster projectile speed.
for how you use it, the Sweet Sixteen might actually be a better pick than the zimmerman. Better stagger and less likely to overshoot at close range
I agree with you in theory, but the Zimmernam is more user friendly. The Sweet Sixteen does basically nothing out 75m range, and in this game, that distance is less than most AC's quickboost. Zimms at least have the range of a handgun with twice the stagger and a manageable reload time. The only thing the Sweet Sixteen does better than Zimm is stagger, and even that is lessened by it's lack of range and molasses speed reload.

If you put your arm weapons to empty and your back weapons to your arm guns you can freely swap between your fists and your arm guns. you can't do this if your arms are equipped and your back is empty. I'd like to see a build that utilizes this mechanic
That last match against the quad decepticon was great!
I use a combo of Lance and blade, so if I miss with the Lance I can go straight into blade and catch them. So with two melee weapons you can engage with, you can keep up the pressure and catch them when their low on energy.

How do you make the transition from pulse blade to pile bunker so smoothly? most of the time I run this setup my input L2 input gets eaten up and I can't punish with the pile bunker
Alternatively: after your Charged Pulse Blade landed you can do a quick boost -> left weapon bay swap to Pile -> Zimmerman shot from the right hand.
You can swap your weapon bay on one hand and use another hand to fire a gun if you swap before pulling the trigger.
The buildnis visually and physically clean gonna try it out
That charged PB is so satisfying.
I use a lightweight build much like this, instead of the pulse blade I use the laser lance and majestic for my stagger.
Pilebunk is stupid fun. PvE I love basically 1 shotting Iguazu 1st phase of the all mind fight
Don't know if you do requests but would love to see a duel pistols build, mostly because they are my favorite weapons 😊

This build is exact when it comes to it's EN load, running at exactly 3641/3641.
And thanks to having the generator with the highest energy damage adjust, is able to do a little over 10K damage to Ayre and generally melts anything stupid enough to stand still.
I really do hope you give it a try, it's good fun but I don't exactly know how good it would be in pvp.

Cool to see the Zimmerman is still usable even after losing a quarter of its impact damage.
Zimmerman is still incredible especially in PVE it's just been put on a more equal ground with other weapons being exceptional as well.

What are you talking about? Hardlock functions exactly the same on both platforms.
@landbeforetimeee on Ps5, the hard lock camera tracking falls off long before the 180 degree mark. On PC, it follows far past the 180 degree mark.
@TheJestersDoor I'm not understanding what you mean by "falls off". If you're hardlocked, the game fully takes over camera control, provided you make no independent camera inputs. If you hardlock and simply take your thumb off right stick, you'll achieve the exact effect you see in this video. I have about 200 hours of pvp experience and have played on both console and PC; hardlock functions exactly the same way. Stop trying to manually control the camera while hardlocked and you're set.

I used an almost identical build (more lightweight for mobility) the entirety of my first play through. Absolutely deletes bosses!
Im running a simallar build i find the bml locks super fast i switch between the allula and the kikaku and gridwalker boosters gridwalkers have decent melee dash and upward thrust allula have good melee boost and better quick boost kikakku only have good melee dash i find myselff dagger canceling into a pulse slash alot
May I recommend a ransetsu instead of the pulse blade? Allows you to kite them to death and then stagger AB into bunker pile. The burst on the ransetu is very slept on
I think it's more that the pulse blade's charged attack causes a "mini stagger", stopping an AC in place long enough for a Zimmy shot to push the ACS over the edge, in time for the Bunk.
I made a simple build that dual wields Ve-66lrb and has wuerger/66e at the back, each time you shoot you switch the weapons around, giving it that suppressing fire. But i feel like it needs improvement, i know this ain’t your thing but can you make a vid about this build or reply to this comment?

I have trying to make something with dagger and shield on a RJ legs, kicks are a good extra weapon, but im unsure on the last shoulder weapon, using Laser drones feels good but wonder if there is other/better option, what you think?

How come you dont use the KIKAKU boosters? they let you close the distance much faster and give the pilebunker just a little bit more charge range.
IIRC the pilebunker doesn't engage the boosters at all for its charged attack

Pile bunker has been around in AC since looong before souls or Bloodborne existed.

@ilikestamps2978 yeah the stake driver was a bunk reference. Also it's used by the Djura who also operates the Gattling gun in old yharnam. Definitely nods to AC
My best build is a reverse joint with the same melee weapons. Although lately I find myself using the Sweet Sixteen over the Zimmerman. I also experiment with other right shoulder weapons though.
Most of them never kite or float. Not the typical foes I've met on global

No, you are correct. The damage stats are better on the Sweet Sixteen than the Zimmer, but Zimmer has a more manageable effective range. The Zimmers range is like close to 100 ( maybe more, but not much), while the Sweet Sixteen is sitting at 75. It may hit harder now, but you literally have to be in your opponents face.
Now I wanna see you go toe to toe with Mood's Silver lining. Who will pile bunker who first?

@@CodenameMood Oooh it's a tough one! On one hand it looked like Oro was coming up second in some of those pulse blade trades so you might have him there but on the other hand Oro has always been tempered in intense exchanges as the DS2 Parry King.
I might favor you just since it's your dedicated build, but it would be a good fight!
My money is on you Mood, more experience and a faster, more agile build will put you on top.

I have all the parts except for the Alba Core... where do I find this part?
The Alba frame gets unlocked when you beat the Karman Line mission in chapter five of the Fires of Raven ending.

@oldstarscream you can get it on your first playthrough, just depends on your choices. Look up how to unlock all ending for the game and do the fires of raven ending. That will get you the Alba frame, after completing the Karman Line mission.
Do the following on ANY playthrough (although I suggest either the first or second time since there is a special ending you can only get on NG++)
Chapter 3 Destroy the Special Forces Craft
Chapter 4 Ambush the Vespers
Chapter 5 Intercept the Corporate Forces
Of you choose those missions when they poo up then it will eventually unlock the Alba frame for you late in Chapter 5.

PVP just clicked for me yesterday, and I found massive success with a dual Scudder/Aurora build. Hal core and legs, Nact arms, VE20B, and Gills for efficiency. The Auroras do consistent stagger and are an excellent finisher at close range because all lasers hit.

zimmerman is so strong I have a similar build but I use the wuerger instead so that I don't feel OP lol. and I use the mine thrower instead of the bunker because the charged wuerger has too much lag to get close enough.
