2018+ Accord PRL Intercooler Install

- On this week's episode I'm installing a PRL intercooler on my 10th gen 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring. Apologies for some less than stellar camera angles was one of my first attempts of the body camera and had a duplicate cut at the end of the video. Also show both times installing the bumper, the second time I had a better order of operations however seeing me do it the first time from a distance gives a different perspective, thought it would be helpful to show both takes.

One Step I did not show is removing all the clips on the top of the bumper and 3 screws in each wheel/fender well. Also did not show applying the weather stripping to the bottom edges of the front and back of the intercooler and a couple of small strips on the back of honda sensing where it makes contact with the intercooler.

Im just a weekend warrior doing this stuff. The intercooler isn't bad, if you can take the bumper off you can do it.

Do you need the car jacked in the air? Or would it be the same with having the car on the ground?
Is there any difference on the sound of the vehicular after intercooler was installed?
Did it make a difference!!!
Assume so I don't have any intake temp data to support that theory.
Did you have to recalibrate the Honda sense?
Nope, didn't have any issues but as shown marked where it lined up to try and mitigate any issues.
can the intercooler cause a boost leak at all?
Did you experience any vibrations in the cabin after Installing maybe when the ac is on ?
Yes I did, had to revisit and install some weather stripping on the intercooler to suppress
@@JustaHondaAccord thanks I’ll try it out Cant stand the noise, nothing actually wrong tho if it does make the noise ? Was worried it was loose.
I put a link in the description of the video of what I used to suppress rattle. Put it on the intercooler edges and against the Honda sensing bracket where it could make contact with the intercooler. Should be good.
Now when I get the intercooler I can try to do a diy instead of paying for labour
Yup do it, just be careful on the bolt hole I cross threaded.
Hello, did an intercooler make a big or little difference in your temperature?
I took no baseline measurements to give a data driven answer unfortunately
