Are we going to see this guy on our screens anytime soon? He was a better actor at 15 than most of the overpaid, under-talented middle class luvvies we normally have to put up with.
He did a brilliant job on Grange Hill. I was at secondary school at the same time the series was on (started my first year in September 82) and I thought he was terrifying!

I watched Grange Hill in the early 80's, and i'm not sure what's happened in his life since, But he looks like he's had hard time, he looks quite scary, as a man soon to be 52 i think I'd still hand over my Tesco Lunch Money, if a ran into him looking like this
just a further note...after rewatching ....Mark was probably the best actor in the series....to act so convincingly (yes we had a "gripper" ) and so out of his own natural character is truly the mark of the greats. his portrayal was instrumental in my becoming the "bullybasher " at school after being a victim for so long...hats off to him....the respect that i earned from other bullied kids....respect that still stands after all these years and that no price can be put upon...made me realise that bullies were more scared than i ever was ...they just utilised that fear an used sycophants to do their real dirty work...Hats Off To Mark Savage....this lad taught me exactly how to stand up to wankers (and that was before his cumuppence) Skol Wulf

As a 7/8 year old - I was TERRIFIED of Gripper. He looked and acted utterly psychotic
