Thanks for doing this ordered my skates last week after watching your other videos .Haven’t skated since I was 15 I’m now 40 thanks for the inspiration.
I'm in almost the same exact position (stopped skating at 19 and am 40 now) and looking to buy these, how did you end up liking these? Found a good deal on the intuition liner book, only $35 more than the regular liner! Thanks
dude please stop being self-deprecating I'm currently at your weight you were about 2 years ago when you started this vlog, thought i haven't been here the whole time I'm super stoked to try and get out and try this myself! That was awesome seeing that you fell and got right back up, though it may have been editing but still that was super cool. please keep it up.
42 now & just started after 22 years & I am teaching my son both loving it Running v2 copper cults flat with v3 reign liners white . boy's on impala's for his 1st pair.
Glad to hear and see you back at it! I bought the same skates a couple of weeks ago and also wanted to change the plastic buckles to the FR metal ones…and guess what - one ☝️ screw wouldn’t come loose and I also had to drill it out! Other then that - these skates are great!
Honestly, they are pretty incredible... I was pumping around the bowl with minimal effort and getting higher on the walls / maintaining speed better than I was pre COVID... I really have to work on my cardio so I can use these to their potential
Been considering these skates for my next set. Thanks for the insight. Love the channel !!! Definitely motivates me. And you definitely got a new subscriber here 🙋🏻♂️
Sorry to hear you had the Rona, but glad you're back skating again! Those skates seem great, especially at that price point for the boot only with intuition liners 🤯
Got mine this week too, skate of the year in my humble opinion! Odd thing about the groove, look at it from under the skate and it looks more centred, it’s angled backwards from the front of the groove, has an illusionary perspective to it. Think that’s why it looks off centre from the ‘side on’ view
Hi, great review, thanks! Don't you find these boots a bit high? It seems like the sole has some extensions that makes it higher, the Sebas on the other hand have completely flat soles
My 50/50 Prime frame walls I designed have the grove centred on the wall and they still look slightly out of line with the backslide plate in the souls so I think the issue is with the plates not the frames :)
Do you think velcro 45 strap is enough for skatepark? Or would it be a good idea to invest in a plastic replacement? Also, the 90 degree buckles, do they allow you to fasten the cuff really tight? One of the things Ive done to my powerslides was to replace the buckle with an aluminum one. It changed everything, stock plastick powerslide buckle is just crap and would bend the very moment you applied the required pressure to fasten it tight.
the velcro strap is great and very strong. I don't think a replacement is needed. The plastic buckles are fine but I personally prefer the aluminum ones.
I'd like to buy the intuition version. My normal size is EU39. Foot length is 24.5. According to the chart I should have 39-40. My feet are not wide. Do I need to downside to 37-38? Or just pick the right size? Greetings from China.
Getting mine this week. I also want to use them for park/bowl with Solas, maybe even for bigwheel frames like Roka 5x72 and your video encouraged me to do so. Really hyped now. Sound like very responsive and solid skates! Thanks for the informative 1st impression. (Solas sound so smooth! - have them with the sliders as well). How are royales in them on Solas? Feel like detached as there's more material between foot and soul?
Royales feel really good... As I said the cuff is really supportive, so there isn't a lot of flex in the ankle. They make you bend your knees more and kind of make you work for it, but in a good way. They feel very controlled and stable.
I need to know if these skates are tight I have pretty wide feet and 48Eu in size Iam looking to buy them in 47-48 but iam not sure... And do the oisy frame fit with the pre-grooved soul plates?
I have fairly wide feet as well and these fit great... they aren't necessarily a wide skate but, I wouldn't call them tight... I will put my Oysi frames on them and let you know if they work... I expect that they will.
Sorry to keep bugging you I'm definitely buying this skate, Im trying to lose weight I'm 255 5"9 should i get this skate as the fitness version? Or go with the frame you mentioned because of my weight???
If you are looking to do any form of aggressive skating I would highly recommend these skates... but if you strictly looking for fitness I would stick to the FR1
@@OlderBladers sorry to keep bugging but trying to make the best decision :) can you tell me why your saying to get the FR1 if I'm just doing it for fitness, the FR UFR 90 INTUITION also has a fitness version since it comes with 90mm wheels????
@@freddyjuarez5602 There really isn't much difference between the two boots except for frame mounting type and the UFR's ability to fit a soul kit. If you don't intend to ever use a soul kit, don't want the option to skate aggressive, have no intention of changing or upgrading your frame then the FR1 could be an amazing option otherwise its safer to go with the UFR because is UFS mounting system rather than the FR1's 165. It's not that you can't upgrade an FR1 but UFS compatible skates provides you with a much larger choice of frames. I got the UFR 90 intuition due to wanting a good fitness skate with the ability to do aggressive in the same boot, just remember its a rockered set up so if you are a complete beginner I would recommend a flat setup not the frame on the 90s. The intuition liner is amazing and due to the price point it makes it a more compelling buy even than the FR1 if you are looking for flexibility in the type/style of skating you do.
@@TheEdZachary thanks for this information btw what do you mean by rockered setup? I was really good back many many years ago when i was younger and played street hockey if i do get inline skates now that I'm 40 i honestly don't know how I'll do, so idk should i be saying I'm a beginner 😭
@@freddyjuarez5602 The front and the back wheels on the UFR are 1mm higher mounted, so its like the wizard frames natural rocker. Basically like how aggressive skates can have anti-rocker wheels, the little wheels in the middle its the opposite. I would do some googling/UA-cam on it so you understand the pros/cons. A natural rocker like this is very slight nothing like a slalom setup. I find its a way more agile and responsive way to skate, I'm new to it and loved it so much my aggressive set up with the oysis frame is slightly rockered. It allows you to control your skate by shifting your weight forwards and back to perform shaper more precise turns and moves. I'm 33, I quit for like 13odd years after skating for a good 10 and have no issue with it, its like riding a bike so you would be fine on them. Just when you first get on them remember don't lean back as the you may not be used to the rocker yet and you'll shift onto the rear two wheels on both skates and fall. After like 5 mins I got used to it. Some people can find a slight rocker like this to be unstable at high speeds but I haven't had any issues with it though haven't bombed any huge hills.

@William Byrom same here I have not been on skates in a minute lol 😂, I ordered the UFR Street AP by Antony Pottier

Love this. Im the same havent skated in years and now getting bk into it. Are these quite a wide fitting skate? Because i have huuuuge fat feet
I wouldn't say they are wide but I would say that they are roomy... the open top of the shell allows for a variety of foot shapes
Chef when is the next vid coming out🤘🏻
Just finished filling it 😎
How is that street frame slider kit working for you? Does it make the frame much wider?
I like them a lot. They really clean up soul tricks. The additional thickness is negligible.
@@OlderBladers you should do a review on them
