I have one dog, about to have 2 and I'm moving to NYC in the next few months! I've lived in Jersey City with my current dog but looking to move to the UES with both :)
Is your pup a Jack Russell mix? I am considering moving my Jack Russell terrier to NYC and he’s so high energy and I’m concerned about him not having enough open spaces to run.
Yes he is a JRT mix! Mine is very high energy too. It can be challenging at times but I find all the stimulation helps to tire him out- so many smells and places to explore. He never gets bored here! Vs when I visit family in the suburbs he gets bored so fast. There’s also tons of dog parks for off leash time.
5 floors and a dog omg!!!!! i recently had that with an industrial building i was living in and i am so GLAD i got out of there with my dog.
I just come over your video when i was looking for videos on how it is to have a dog in a major city. I like it.

What do you do about his bathroom needs at night 🌙?
if i had a dog in an APT - a small dog, i would train him to use a pad, maybe even put it in the shower floor
