    Love the “Quests” idea!! ❤

A longstanding quest I try to do in every country is to visit a Chinese restaurant.
It’s some of my favorite food and you’ll find them nearly everywhere. To be clear, I’ve encountered sub par Chinese food in some countries but in others it has been amazing. It’s extremely hit and miss but that’s half the fun :)

Do you order the same dish?

Mongolian beef is my favorite but I like to switch it up :)

The Quests is the best. Mine was doors- I took pictures of so many beautiful doors in Croatia. Doorknockers, windows, birds, cats, etc. It's so fun.

Doors is a good one. We did that in Mexico once. You could make a great coffee table book of just doors!

So many great tips here, every single one. The one that really jumped out at me was "the you that plans the trip in March isn't necessarily the you that shows up in September." I've never heard it put like that and wow I feel that one in my bones!! Being flexible and having the freedom to change plans to suit the present you is a powerful thing. I know some of these awesome peeps already but time to go subscribe to the new faces! 🙂

@@tendegreeswarmerit's pretty pointless, but we're wandering around Kuala Lumpur trying to get a picture standing by every letter of the alphabet. Has to be a standalone letter... we're purists like that!

Thank you to all the nomads who contributed to this video! All great tips to keep in mind. My personal favorite was, "Do nomad life your way." I think that's really an important one. Don't just copy what others are doing. We're all different, so try different things, experiment and figure out what works best for you! Happy travels, everyone!

Top tip from these for me was the Quest idea. Love it!

I hadn’t really called it a quest, but I will now. I always look for street art. You can tell a lot about a culture by the flavor of non-commissioned art.

Love the quest idea, as well as others here. Never thought of it as a quest, but in Mexico, we see who can find Our Lady of Guadalupe first in any church.

This is a very fun video! Thanks. I laughed at the “quest” tip. I used to do this with our kids. Art museums were pretty boring for 2 young boys so we looked for dogs, cats and a favorite for my boys, guns in the art. I’m going to try it for myself now.

Okay; since we're now in Los Angeles, my quest is to spot a celebrity of any kind. Even an impersonator qualifies.Wish us luck!😊

Haha that is a fun quest! We used to do it all the time when we lived in LA, but it was never planned. Impersonators add in an extra dimension though, I like it! 😁

Good idea to do with all the great tips and suggestions.
My suggestion would be next time to do some solo nomads instead of just couples because both have things to contribute

    • @enjoystraveling
      @enjoystraveling Місяць тому

I might say solo nomads have a different perspective than couples and can encourage the people that are traveling solo as nomads.

What a great idea for a video - congrats Chris and Steve and all the nomads for their great tips. Hope your journey on the Camino is going well. We are about to get on a repositioning cruise from Southampton to Galveston and will be in Vigo and Santiago on October 11. If that happens to coincide with your schedule let us know. B and J.
