Please I have 2 questions 1. Must we use ethanol in preparing an indicator? 2. Which indicator is best for NaOH and HCl titration? Thanks and stay blessed
Ethanol is used because it acts as a solvent for the indicator powder to dissolve properly. Also, Ethanol has little acidic or basic character detectable by pH measurements.
I prepared my phenolphthalein but it ain't colourless...I brought Pink-purple colour. Actually it's my first time. But I think my procedure is faulty My Procedure * Dissolved 3g of phenolphthalein in ethanol...then dilute it to 250ml Please...I need an urgent answer...
Indeed your procedure is quite faulty. This time try dissolving 0.1g of phenolphthalein in 80ml of Ethanol and dilute it to 100ml with water. Just watch the video and follow the steps religiously. Please ensure you subscribe also. Thanks
Simply straight forward! Thanks for the video
You re welcome sir
Thanks for the video, it was direct to the point

The water is alkaline. Use pure water.
Please which indicator is best for HCl and NaOH titration?
Use phenolphthalein or methyl orange indicator
Thank you so much are you on Facebook
You are welcome. Yes I am.
