Please excuse my serious face 😂 also, just to reiterate, I am by no means a professional in cutting hair. This is just a quick video attempting the pigptail cut. There's a link in the description for Mell's in-depth tutorial on how to do this style. Thank you for watching! 💜💜💜
I enjoy your voice and especially your laugh. It's good that you showed your hair dry and finished before and after. A lot of people skip the before, so that helps!
Thank goodness I'm not alone with the finger issue haha I think I just need to go with smaller sections. That's great that it worked for you! I felt much more comfortable doing this haircut than other trendy ones like the unicorn cut
Nice lift! I had a horrendously uneven cut in spring and finally took matters into my own hands. It took me like 6 times going over it and getting bolder each time but it feels so much better. Also, did you buy scissors or did you already have them? And yes, I have the hardest time getting tension! I cut mine dry, with oil in it, so it’s smooth but not stretched.
Oh no! Sorry you had to deal with that issue. It can be very intimidating at first, but yea once I began trimming my hair more I became much more comfortable. It's also nice bc I'm able to understand my hairstylist more clearly when he/she is cutting my hair. These scissors are new (Amazon), but I didn't purchase them for this cut specifically. I've been cutting my partner's hair since the beginning of the pandemic, and that's been more terrifying than cutting my own hair 😂 thank you for the oil tip though! I'll look into doing that next time I cut mine.
@@tiffanymcnerlin157 Not sure if oil is a tip or not, just what I tried 😆🙃 But it might make a difference 🤷♀️ Do you like the scissors? I’m trying to decide on which pair to buy. I want to be able to point cut, but many have a blunted end 🤔
@@emkn1479 I do like these scissors! They're from Plyrfoce (I think that's the correct spelling lol has a lion as the logo) on Amazon. The clippers come in a small kit, and they're pretty sharp. I used to use normal scissors to cut my hair so these are ofc a lot better haha
Looks great! Beautiful results. On holding the tensions, I have the same situation. Played basketball and have bigger buckles from jamming my fingers countless times. LOL! I struggle to hold the tension properly.
Hi Tiffany! You mentioned your eyebrows and I remembered something Derek had told me so long ago. He told me you colored your eyebrows and didn't want him to tell anyone. I said of course you did. Eyebrows are a significant part of your face and I agreed with you. :) Silly memory but it makes me smile. I hope you are well! You look fantastic!

look so good! Uneveness is not a problem with curly hair. Does not even show. Thanks for the demo
Curly hair is forgiving in that aspect lol thank you for watching! :D
Great result!

Okay…. I have never felt more validated than “large knuckles and skinny fingers”
😂😂😂
It looked beautiful in you, I did the cut to myself yesterday with Mell's tutorial and my hair looks amazing, thank you for sharing your results.
I have the same problem with my hair falling out from between my fingers 😭 The pigtail cut is really helpful though. Glad it worked for you too!

Thank you! and yessss hahaha I played a lot of sports growing up so maybe my big knuckles are from that too 😂

Well done! Looks really good. 👍☺️This is exactly my haircut. Good to know how can do it myself.
Thank you! I'm happy with how simple it is. Don't always have to go get a haircut now 🙌🎉
@@tiffanymcnerlin157, have you continued to do this cut? What shape does the bottom have if you don’t cut it separately at the end?
