This is for me the toughest loss of all. So sad. Not gonna lie, this is a tough series to watch, but you just can’t stop watching! I hope you don’t stop. Lots more for you to unpack in the final 4 episodes….
Gut wrenching😢
My grandfather use to say, if you have a problem and there is a way to fix it do not worry, but if the problem do no have a solution do not worry just put one foot in front of the other and keep going@@ReactionTherapyOfficial
That giant infected was a bloater.
This is pretty much the last stage an infected can get to after decades of being infected.
The stages are: Runner (newly infected) -> stalker -> clicker -> bloater
This channel has become "Lets traumatize the therapist" 😂😂
Seeing someone actually trained in handling this sort of thing can only help those of us who aren't.
The girl clicker doing those amazing contortions in the car is a gymnast/contortionist. Apparently the bloater (the huge guy) scared her a lot so the actor inside took efforts to show how he got into it and so on.
Other cool stuff... I was unaware, but there's a Black American Sign Language which is distinct. The young boy is deaf and uses BASL so they adapted and the actor playing Henry learned it.
Some amazing, if heartwrenching, perfromances.
For me, this was sadder than Bill and Frank. Yes, their story made me cry, but they lived long happy lives together and got to plan their death on their own times. Henry and Sam were just kids and died horribly. They never felt the safety and security Bill and Frank did. This was the hardest loss of the whole season.
LETSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! perfect timing!
btw, I understand this show is dense and sometimes devastating, but it is so beautiful...I'd love to see you react to the nest episodes, in which their bond grows even more.
the guy who plays perry is the guy who does the voice of tommy in the games
In the end all we have is each other.
This series is so brutal. And I didn't play the games, so I don't know what's coming next season. But this one was really hard, losing Henry and Sam. It was such a whirlwind relationship, meeting them and going through that harrowing adventure only to end up this way.
I especially liked the way the ending was kind of a reverse of the ending of episode two, when we lost Tess. Joel walked ahead, seemingly needing to get away faster and numb out faster, "move on" faster. And sweet Ellie stands and looks back as the camera pans out, not quite willing to let go.
Season 2 is just as intense and lovely. Enjoy the ride
Its hard but, such a great reaction you give, you are yourself reacting and thinking along the series, keep the goodwork
Henry's first actual kill was his little brother, who he has been trying to protect the whole time. This is not a kind, good-ending, black-and-white world, and it pushes your emotional limit to the break, and then some.
Imagine the impact it made to Ellie, the only person in the world who can not get infected, and the responsibility on her shoulders to find a way to make this right. For Henries and Sams, Joels and Tesses and Sarahs in the world.
After his comments on this episode I am excited to see his analysis of Part 2.
fr
'Man, Sam being bit? That's the worst thing that could happen!'
5 mins later...
Such a heartbreaking episode, trying to save the kid was Ellie’s last bit of youthful magic.
Btw. the actor of Sam is deaf in real life what makes his performance a real astonishing one. Also credits go to the other actors who learned ASL (sign language) for this episode.
At least you have avatar to balance out the pain from this show 😂
i dont know why people say episode 3 is the saddest episode. bill and frank died but they had a relatively peaceful, long life together, and went out on their own terms. this is heart wrenching.
Please don't give up. I love your commentary! ❤
If it's any consolation, the next episode is much easier to watch than the previous ones, so you'll have a break from the trauma.
Next episode should be good for him...

It's heavily mental health focused, with crystalline scenes of healing.
Unsurprisingly, the end of this episode DEVASTATED me.
man.
Best. Show. Ever !
Hello, really enjoy your perspective on this show. I have played both games. Season 2 of the HBO show starts in April. If you are upset by season one you better not watch season two, the events in the 2nd game make one look like a picnic.
LETS GO
Niceeee!
React to the half time show of kendrick
I see a lot of comments encouraging you to keep going, but I just want to be at least one voice saying that you don't have to do anything that isn't good for you mentally, just because the numbers machine says you should. If you can't keep going with this series, you don't have to, no matter what viewers might want.
but wait there's more!! 😢😂
This is honestly the peak of the brutality of the show, the rest of the season isn't as difficult to watch. Not saying it's a joyride from here on out, but it doesn't get worse.
I felt exactly the way you do.. SO much trauma. It gets less so now though, this really was the worst of the trauma for the whole season imo. There are some things later on that are pretty terrible, but not like this one.
I'm not sure you missed it, and this may be just reinstating what you were saying. Henry unaliving himself was not the horror of the scenario. Ellie promised Sam that she could save him. Not only did she fail to keep her promise, but in the process feels that the death of Henry is on her too. The real horror was the sketch pad at the end that said, "I'm sorry".
Henry and Sam's story is over. They no longer suffer in a wasteland that was thrust upon them. Sure, their hope was crushed by the infection, but perhaps that was inevitable anyway. Ellie and Joel have to live with the survivor's guilt, and will probably not be able to come to terms with that. If that is even possible, considering the environment they find themselves in.
I'm sure you know, and keep this in mind moving forward, that monster's may scare us, but it is people that are the true horror.
Not gonna get any better from here.
You are a therapist.... the whole point of your reactions is you have more insight into the human condition. If we have you watch happy happy shows there will be nothing for you to react to!
I need to go watch a reaction to Bluey.
lord
As a wise person once said, it's called The Last of Us, not All of Us. 🫢
