Fun! Good idea to try MREs. If you like seeing MRE tasting, Emmymade on UA-cam has a whole series, trying MREs from all over the world. Sometimes they are just one meal, but often she's trying 24-hour packs (and therefore contains a lot more stuff). It's actually pretty interesting seeing the similarities and differences between countries.
"I am amazed to see such inventions. Thanks a million Oh kind God." The humility, child-like innocence, and gratefulness of these people put us to shame.
I was serving in the U.S. Army when the first generation of MREs came out. They were pretty bad. There was no way to heat it except from the exhaust from our M1A1 Tank. If you forgot it it would explode the food packet. Today's MREs are much better and have the water/chemical reaction heating system. I'm not surprised to hear Chaudhary care about how we soldiers eat. He's a great man. I wish I could meet them and their families one day and throw a big feast for them. ✌

When I was in the Navy i ate these during combat training before a deployment. I really enjoy them especially you was lucky to have the good snacks (skittles, fig newtons). Soo many varieties available.
Every time, I’m amazed by the things that come to these gentlemen’s minds first. “Amazing! This is like this other thing, very interesting! But the soldiers deserve more food!” No negativity, only compassion.
I grew up in Germany in the early 80s next to a military base. We were very poor. There was military training several times a week and they often left their MREs behind. After the training, we picked up the leftover food and ammo. ;)
I loved MRE's in the 80s and 90s and I was in the British Army, renowned for bad food lol. I loved the baby's head and cheese possessed, and the oatmeal with chocolate powder added - with biscuits fruit and biscuits brown! Best days of my life lol
I was in the Army from '73-82. We ate WW2 C-rations. OD Green canned ? in an OD Green box. The eggs were green, so I knew where Dr Suisse got his "green eggs and ham" story. We had no way to heat them and were given a P38 small metal can opener that we wore with our dog tags. One time I fell asleep with it on my dog tags chain, rolled over on it, and it was open enough to stab me in the chest. 😂 These MRE'S are an old soldier's dream.
I remember reading that in WWII, the in-the-field army food was not adequate enough, and soliders lost a great deal of weight. It had to be improved on. i am amazed by the heating packet--it must be chemicals.
These meals are definitely convenient. I first tried them at a shelter during Hurricane Rita. I was also given a case full during Hurricane Harvey. They lasted me over a year.

Thanks a million Oh kind God." The humility, child-like innocence, and gratefulness of these people put us to shame.
visited their villages , very humble people most of them .
This 45 min. Good hanging out with my tribal & UA-cam fam!
Another great video and the concern they have for soliders not getting enough food wonderful
I love that they are so appreciative of what they were given. Most people would scoff at it and just complain about everything. Yet these men appreciated every aspect of it.
Many countries have MRE's, some of those are very different then the fare given to U.S.A. service personnel. I suspect a rabbit hole is opening for reaction and comparison of MRE's from around the world. I'd watch that!
the big problem is they need to be halal. while the facility that makes these is halal certified that doesn't mean the food is. whoever sent these didn't do their homework.
@@toomanyaccounts there's a halal menu now for US military MREs, but i don't think there's any of those on the civilian market
@@harveyknguyen there are. just use google and you will find halal mres including ones from the company that makes the US military ones which have a different packaging.
It makes you feel happy for what you have after seeing them enjoy an MRE as many of us in the military grow to despise them !
MRE sure has come a long way since my father served in the sixties. The actually looked 👍 Chuadhary makes me laugh 😆 with sour tastes 😋
those were c-rations and meal bars
I watch Steve1989MREInfo channel, Its possible he has eaten the MREs from the 60s you remember! :)
He likes sweets :)
@@AnarinaTV I know he likes sweets. It's just funny when they give him something sour 🤣
These people are so thankful and appreciative of everything! It's heartwarming
As a American citizen watching these videos have brought me to be more thankful for what I have. Also while watching these videos it proves we all as a people cad share food culture equally and learn from one another peacefully.
I just love you guys!
When I was in the Marines those MREs really did make me get that second life of energy . He’s very right
An important part of MREs is not just that they're ready to eat but that they can be stored for a very long time. I'm just glad that these look a more edible then what we had back in the 1980s.
Exactly they were horrible when I was in the army in 84
We had tiny bottles of Tabasco in ours!!! I hate Tabasco and soon discovered there was a black market for them. I wish I had kept one, just for its uniqueness. Did you hear about the M&M fiasco in Tuzla Main??
@@TreeFreak No what is that
@@leojones7266 so, my ex was Hilltop 422. They burned their own chit and got shower breaks every 45 days. That was when they convoyed down to Tuzla Main. There was a small contingent of AAFES facilities there. They even had a Burger King Express!!! Mind you, I would never eat that, lol. Anyway, some schmuck complained to a Stars & Stripes reporter that life was difficult because they ran out of BBQ sauce at the BK Express!!! Well, hilarity ensued when a closet comedian decided to complain that life was hard because our MRE's were so old they didn't have blue M&Ms. BWAHAHAHAHAH! Blue M&Ms were very freaking new. We all got the joke. Upper echelons were not amused.. letters were written to commanders, threats of UCMJ were made. M&M Mars found out about it and sent the soldier a 5 lb bag of blue M&M's! Imagine, opening a package from M&M Mars, removing the dry ice and seeing 5 lbs of blue glory!!!!
Thank you for the video!!🧡🧡🧡🧡
Military meals really have become wonderful since I was a soldier 30 years ago.
They got the good one. There are a few MREs that are ickie.
Beware the chili-mac!
@@Angela-jc8bk chili mac is luxury compared to the infamous veggie omelet
@@dualwieldroxas358 I'll take your word for it, I haven't tried any of the more recent MREs.
@@dualwieldroxas358 so glad I have fresh eggs from my chickens. But I'll avoid both, thanks for the tip!
There's a vegetarian lasagna. Basically, deconstructed chicken noodle soup.
Personally I love eating MRES My favourite one is actually chilli Mac and cheese
These men are so genuine about everything they eat it’s so wholesome
Please tell them what “it tastes like dry barfi” sounds like to an English speaker I think they would find it funny 😂😂
Yes lol you are right Barf in North American English means "vomit" but Barf in Urdu/Punjabi means "snow"
And barfi is pakistani sweet made up of milk.
They seem to have improved the quality of MRE's since i was in. Spent a lot of 60 and 90 outings in the field and grew to love MRE's
Great video! Thank you!
I love to watch all of the videos about tribal people sampling various foods from the West. They are all such delightful, gracious and intelligent people. I also enjoyed watching the videos that were about experiences too. Great presentations. Keep them coming, please!
I was watching fish burger episode and this came through. let's gooooo
I love to see the reactions! Happy to share culture and see the joy it brings.
i definitely understand the confusion with the heater :P quick tip, only fill the water to the line and put the main course pack INside the heater not the outside, then lean against a rock or wall
you can also use the cardboard box to hold the heater
Not quite. Prop it up against a "rock or something".
@@mfree80286 thats what i said?
@@SylentViper The heaters say (or used to say), literally, "rock or something".
I love how they explain everything that goes through their heads. You never have to guess with these guys
Real shame you didnt show them how to properly use the flameless ration heater.
I know, they really missed out on eating it nice and hot, and therefore we, in part, miss out on their experience also. Such a shame.
I thought Mr. Chaudhry did until I realized he put the heater on top of the food pouch. With people around them that can at least speak English you think they would help them with instructions.
I feel this channel and content could bring peace to the world 🌎🥰
Bismillah ir Rahman ir Rahim...in the name of God the most gracious and merciful
Poor chadhury. Lol
Sounds like he's in a chemist lab.
After the training, we picked up the leftover food and ammo. ;)
What did you do with the ammo?
@@fainitesbarley2245 :)
This was even better than your always-excellent videos.
I love seeing the guys get surprised with things they really had no idea about.
I loved MRE's in the 80s and 90s and I was in the British Army, renowned for bad food lol. I loved the baby's head and cheese possessed, and the oatmeal with chocolate powder added - with biscuits fruit and biscuits brown! Best days of my life lol
Wait wha why are they named like that😂
@@juska4235 just nicknames lol. Baby's head was steak and kidney pudding, and cheese possessed was processed cheese lol.
Baby's head😁. Are you from the North West? First time I heard that term I laughed my head off🤣
@TheOzzy no lol. Everybody in the army called them that, although I was in a regiment which amalgamated with a northern regiment lol
@@juska4235 a steak and kidney pudding is made with suet pastry and the shape resembles the small (bald) head of a baby😁
These MRE'S are an old soldier's dream.
I find these videos humbling to watch it teaches you how much is takin for granted
some of them couldn't wait and ate the taco shells or rotis as they called them before the filling got ready, do you starve them first?
I remember reading that in WWII, the in-the-field army food was not adequate enough, and soliders lost a great deal of weight. It had to be improved on. i am amazed by the heating packet--it must be chemicals.
Mmmm... that's good roti!!! 👍😋
They should be in training films about field survival. I'd be convinced to love em cause it could be worst. These guys are awesome.👍
It's nice to see soldiers getting such nice food, I do imagine them to be stranded in a jungle or dessert somewhere eating these..
These meals are definitely convenient. I first tried them at a shelter during Hurricane Rita. I was also given a case full during Hurricane Harvey. They lasted me over a year.
its frustrating. i want to come show them how to heat everything. also, i hope you let them know how high in calories these meals are so they don't worry to much about portions.
As a soldier that ate MRE's everyday, please give us more food in them! lol
The only person alive to say an MRE is a gift from god! I love these guys!!!
As in God has blessed Man with such ingenuity to create such inventions.
I almost suggested that they eat MREs, but I didn't want them to be constipated.
It seems they don't know how dense that food is. It is packed full of calories.
it's amazing how they keep praising God for new inventions, new kinds of preparing and packing the food, and be so grateful for what they get
I spent six years in the army. You learned to get creative with those MREs 😂
These gentlemen are so gracious and charming...
I love watching the videos you all have such wonderful happy personalities
Rana, you are a true gentleman and a man of experience and elegance. You must come from a family of wealth.
I love how well these gentlemen dress! What a handsome bunch of guys! I just have to admit though that I am in love with Chaudhary. He is so very handsome and his personality is endearing.
These gentlemen as such amazing people!
You can see the respect when Thanos grabs the bag.
Man, this takes me back to 97 when I was in Korea eating MRE's in the Hummer at night. I hope grandpa didn't use the heater water to make the lemonade.
I would love to visit these guys.
When did the stars get added to the MRE? Lol I got out 2015 but mine just said MRE with no star 🤷♂️ I assume they changed lol also I always put my pouch into the heater I found it cooked faster
I had no idea that MREs were so sophisticated! My word!
from what i remember the chicken mres are the most satisfying. but i dont REALLY remember. i only kinda do. 😝
we pakistani soldiers eat too much meat.. it's our normal routine.. but during battle, we eat this kind of food.. bcz it's very lite...👍🏼🇵🇰
so how does Pakistan do survival training where you have to find something in the wild and eat it if the critter is not halal? My dad in the US air force was left in a forest and his group caught a rabbit and ate it.
@@toomanyaccounts If you are ever in that situation all food becomes halal for you
@@AmirHussain78692 survival training is different then being in a real survival situation.
@@toomanyaccounts if there is no chance of survival than everything becomes halal.
@@toomanyaccounts in situations where food is scarce, halal does not apply and you can eat anything for nutrition. This also applies to non-halal medicine if sick. There are youtube videos of Pakistani SSG commandoes training with snakes and raw chicken blood straight from the chicken.
I am happy they were spared the Chicken Ala King from the late 80s-early 90s. We didn't have flameless ration heaters back then. I vice-gripped my main packets to the exhaust on my M901 and in a few minutes, piping hot!
In all my time eating these in the army, I never once thought to warm the bread on top of the heater bag while it was warming the entree. It would’ve been so much better! So smart!
these poor gentlemen are eating it cold! this is a small nitpick for such a wonderful channel but im pretty sure those self heating bags are meant to be standing up and to have the bag of food submerged in the bag of water. (bf was in military cadets so had to eat MREs)
And yet they still loved it! I'd like to see the proper way displayed though as I'd like to get some MRE's myself
@@LegionCommander it was such a pleasure to see them enjoying the MRE. i'd love to get some from a few different countries, would be interesting
