Great to relive some of the sections of the SUW. I made some navigational errors, especially on that last section CP12 - finish. My feet were damaged and I was tired, but I wouldn't stop till I got the distance done. Well done Martin and you on excellent crewing. Many lessons learnt for me. Debs x
Loved watching this film Ross.. you did a fantastic job crewing Martin..he must have been made up with the outcome.. that race with a great crew like you with your knowledge of the RAS must have been a massive bonus to him and smoothed the hard moments out through out the trail, helping him finish the race and further up the field as well..the footage showed the real challenge this race is.. relentless..great stuff..👏👏
As always, great video mate. Huge well done to Martin and hats off to you for doing a great job supporting him throughout the race. My support team were equally amazing, so I appreciate what impact good support team can have on your race! Great job, looking forward to the next video!
Good to chat with you, Ross. (I was the guy who told you he watched your YT vids at Glentrool, and you very kindly gave me a water top up a little later on.)
My application is in for the 2025 event, what's your thoughts on doing this unsupported? is that possible? Or I may just have support for the last 24hrs.
@@martinweston8147 I’d highly recommend having a support crew. They can be the difference between a finish and a DNF. Arranging to meet your crew in between check points breaks the race into much more manageable sections and allows to have an impromptu rest and refuel where those without a crew might not get the chance.
Well done. 👍
Nice video, I had fun watching... a few cameo appearance from Julie and me too 😁
@@IBethune the Bethune’s are everywhere 🤣
Top crewing and fair play to Martin for smashing it

@@deborahjane3801 yeah Martin also found NAV really tough in the dark after CP12. Phoned me in a panic a couple of times 😀
Fantastic crewing Ross. What a journey for the pair of you.

Thanks Tom. Yeah having experience of the SUW definitely helped Martin’s race plan.
Great wee video, but I thought you were at the wind up saying you had to go home 😂

Brilliant Mike. Yeah I think a few runners appreciated the top at the end of the loch. That’s a long stretch.
Cheers Matt. Hopefully next race it’s my turn to take part 😊

U went directly to work for a shift after all that? 🤣
That wasn’t a fun day 🤣
