Josh Cahill I have had enough of airlines giving you a bad experience. Air India, Malaysia, Air Canada, now Oman Air? There are more airlines you thought had a bad customer experience on your list in another video, but it’s just not right. What do you think?
Legend? More like being disrespectful. Its only cool when it does not happen to ourselves... And he mentioned 'freedom of speech', like mind him, this is not wherever he is from. Bringing around this arguement of freedom to say whatever does not apply everywhere. And he did stoop to their level by lying that he isn't recording.
To any cabin crew reading this, if a passengers request you to fix their in-flight entertainment system and you can’t fix it for whatever reason then GO BACK to the passenger and explain the situation rather than waiting for them to ask you or your colleagues over and over again. It’s just a common courtesy and not a hard thing to do!! Passenger may not be happy but you have done what you can and they’ll appreciate it. Simples!!!! I had this several times hence why I am posting it here.
I flew with Oman Air 2 years ago. There was a pressure default and the pilot had to do an emergency decent. Everyone (even the flight attendants!) were freaking out, oxygen mask dropped and nobody knew what was going on since the pilot just made his announcement in Arabic. People were praying and I genuinely feared to lose my life. After that ee had to wait almost 24 hours at some rural airport in Turkey without any food or drinks offered until they picked us up with another plane and flew us to Miscat, Oman. Obviously my connection was already gone when I arrived in Muscat. Even though the connection flight was also an Oman Air flight I had to pay for a new ticket. I was told I will get a refund in the following week. Now, more than 2 years and countless emails and calls later I neither received a refund nor a apology. I'll never ever fly with Oman Air again.
@@kimtatami6559 Okay that's calming to hear. I don't know anything about that because the crew did not inform us about anything that was happening at all (at least not in English). The captain just repeatedly shouted "emergency descent" into the mic. I only know that there was a depressurization fault because the incident was covered in the media the following day and there they said that this was the case.
I watched his review of Garuda Indonesia. He was offered an Indonesian themed juice as a drink. He did not seem to like it but pretended he was sipping from the glass for 3 times. The quantity of the drink never decreased. I think most of his reviews were paid for and overly pre-orchestrated.
We flew with Oman Air in 2017 from KUL-MCT-FRA and CDG-MCT-KUL. It used old airport in MCT. We were in economy class, didn't impressed with their slow check-in, the food was average, but we could see the cabin crews' effort in giving their best service even though it was still behind some of their rival middle east carrier. We respect for their effort and we wish they could keep it consistent.
Un effing believable. Get sued for recording and posting online? The gall of them. I guess it's in their interest to keep their bad service and fraudulent attempt to dishonor a contract a secret. (because that's what I call it... If they offered €375 for an upgrade, and you accepted, that's an implied contract. YOU should be the one to sue them for failure to uiphold their contract). I've seen enough from your 2 videos on Oman air, and the feedback from other ex Oman air passenger comments here regarding their service. As far as I'm concerned, It's not like they are the only airline option out there. I'm NOT a glutton for punishment to want to experiment with my hard earned cash just to see if I get bad service, and worse, get defrauded that way. Thank you for your civic duty to report what you experienced despite the threat these muppets made to you. In fact, I think you already toned down your opinion in the video a lot. If I paid good money for the ticket and got the treatment you did (it doesn't matter what airline, 5 star or otherwise), I would NOT be OK with that crap treatment and threat. Absolutely not. I'm taking my money elsewhere until they learn the meaning of the word "hospitality", treat paying passengers right and learn how to honor a contract.
@@CalebS85588 Then they shouldn't be an international carrier. They should limit themselves to domestic routes if they are unbending on basic international norms. Furthermore, any restrictions they may have they should state in their contract of carriage (terms and conditions of the ticket) If it's not there, they can't unilaterally impose it. It's not arrogance but just being careful. As a lawyer I'd do the exact same and record everything to make sure I am protected.
@@CalebS85588 muscat international airport is privately owned? I do believe they are state owned. But I will not argue with you since you seem to be an expert on Oman and Omani laws.
We can argue on how public or private space is defined in Oman. But what was clear to me is that that space is not owned by Omani air. So it was wrong for omani air employees to threaten to sue for recording in that area because it’s not their right to exercise. Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for respecting local laws and customs. But based from those circumstances, I think it’s more likely that those persons making those threats were doing so to protect themselves from their own misconduct or inefficiencies. I’d keep recording for my own protection in case i was getting screwed. But if an airport officer were to reprimand me, I would listen because in that public space of the airport that person I would believe. But that’s just me. We can agree to disagree on that. Safe travels to you @Sam Rogers
I flew Omam Air earlier this year and it was absolutely useless. My IFE did not work for the entire of my first flight. They turned the IFE of over 30 minutes before landing on the second flight. On both flights the service was very slow with disinterested crew. After my experience and watching your video I will definitely be avoiding Oman Air in the future.
Interesting, I flew with Oman air last year. From KL to Muscat, Muscat to Milan, Casablanca to Muscat and Muscat to KL. The other sector was to and from Melbourne with Malaysian Airlines (who were average) The sectors with Oman air were amazing, great service the cabin was clean and the seats were fabulous. I also had some of the best airline food I have every had and I have flown a lot. I am surprised at your experience because mine was the opposite. No coke, well there is a positive!!!! My flights were all business class so maybe that explains the difference.
I flew Oman Air in economy and I loved it. The plane was clean, service was good and seats more spacious than on many other airlines. But if the crew is not friendly, it will ruin everything.
He recorded everything he didn’t make it up. U can his screen not working he can’t fake that. I believe him he does what he does as far as reviews to help us make the right decision when picking our airline
See some airlines in particular should understand that passengers are not traveling for free and the airline is not doing any grace by letting the passenger travel. The pax has paid all the fees and taxes that were needed for him/her to travel. So Josh keep up the good work and please expose the truth out in the public
@@KaranPlayzz muffin 🧁 top sadly I traveled with this worst airline and their service is pathetic.... So I have all rights for saying this and it seems that you haven't traveled yet with this airline
My wife and I nearly booked these guys last year. Glad we paid a little extra and stuck with our favourite, Thai International, super consistent levels of service and good food!
I rode Oman air business class in several of my African tour trips coming from and going back to Asia and they always seem to run out of food options when the attendant reaches me and reasons that the selection I wanted was already chosen by a passenger up front. It happened more than once and so I questioned why do they even bother putting those choices in the menu when they have limited stocks at all? I wrote to them when they emailed me for a customer feedback reaction and I expressed my displeasure at this kind of practice. Imagine they responded that next time I ride the airline again I should inform them earlier what kind of menu selection I wanted so they could reserve it for me. How the hell would I know what menu they have before each and every flight? Is this their common practice at all?
Yes it is normal practice. Thing is in the aircraft it is limited space so its not possible to carry all option in 100% plus think about the waste. All meals what are not used has to be throw away. So there is an option, when you atr booking the flight to preorder meal. For example asian vegetarian, diabetic, child meal etc. This meal will be special for you only. it will be different than the rest of the menu.
On some airlines you can reserve your meal choice online. When you buy your ticket they will give you this option. It usually has a description of what the meal choices are along with photos so you can see what you are going to eat . Also they have special meals that are completely different from the regular options. You can reserve any of these meals up to , I think it is 24 hours advance but call the air carrier to make sure.
When you book, you have the option to request a special meal from a list. Therefore you can get a meal according to your dietary requirements or religious requirements.
Hi @Din B, I hope you're doing great. I just wanted to just let you know the reason behind this food shortage that you may be experiencing. For example, if you're flying with a wide body aircraft with two galleys (kitchen), one in the front, and one in the middle. The catering usually loads just enough meals for the number of passengers. So the number of meals loaded are divided equally to the right hand side and left hand side. So if the flight is full, for example seating capacity is 30, 15 each side and you're seated on the last row (5th row), chances are popular meal choices are already finished by the time time crew reaches 2nd row. People would always choose chicken and beef 95 percent of the time. The Vegetarian one is usually the least favorite choice among all sectors. I would give you a sample breakdown of the meals. For each side, example. Appetizer. And this is very common. Salad is usually loaded 4, Arabic Mezzeh 3, Soup 5, Salmon 3. Main Course like Beef is 6, Chicken 5, and Veg 4. Dessert especially the ice cream is the least that they load. They load 5 which is divided for two sides. Cake, Cheeses, Ice cream and fruits are also not 100%. There are sectors that, some passengers only take one main course no dessert or appetizer. Some they don't eat at all in the flight because they eat in the lounge. Even the number of bottles and cans of alcoholic drinks have specific numbers in each flight and these drinks are not replenished from outstation. Alcoholic drinks comes from Muscat base. So there, I don't want to be rude or anything. I just wanted to give you like a small overview of what happens in the flight and why you always don't get your preference. I would highly suggest that you pre-book your meal before hand, choices are given on the website upon booking the ticket so it will save you the hassle. There's plenty of choices there like vegan, Asian vegetarian, vegetarian oriental, gluten free and the likes. ☺ I hoelpe next time you fly with them, you will have a better experience. I wish you all the best.
I have flown Oman air 7-8 times on the same route i.e. London to Bangkok . HK , Delhi. etc in two years. I agree that the in flight crew is not very professional and need massive improvement in terms of training. The only reason, I took Oman air was because 1) they were the 2nd cheapest 2) had new fleet 3) majority of time there flight was half empty so could sleep on a seat of 3 (flight crew didn't complain about it). I just bought myself a sandwich from airport or had dinner before flying because of food issues on flight in economy class. Flight crew definitely need massive improvement in terms of training / customer experience. Majority of the time its the cabin crew which makes the passenger come back on the flight. One of good points airlines though is that they give amenity kit in economy class during night flight which wasn't bad at all. quiet recently there prices have gone up nearing Emirates so stopped flying with them as the is definitely not a product compare to Emirates .
why you did not take Indian airways it's cheapest also you keep traveling with Oman air more than 7 times and you keep complain then use your Indian flight it's cheapest also you really stupid. about Oman air what they did to MR. Josh is not fear but the same case happen to me in Emirates air they steal my money and refused to refund i have full evidence of that i contacted them till i tired but they replied me that they will refund me by milestone not money.! it's thief and all of this is corruption brought by Indian management, even English accent of customer care of Oman air and MR. Josh it's Indian guy. they brought Indian style everywhere even in Emirates now.!
Thank you for this review I am from Oman and I was on Oman Air going to Bangkok with my toddler and an infant and the service was really bad they were careless!!!!!!!! I did complain but they never responded !!!
This is really disappointing to hear about Oman Air. I would have expected a much better service, if they are trying to compete with the major 3 ME airlines. After hearing these reviews, I would definitely think twice about booking with Oman Air. Even ultra low cost airlines, like Ryanair & Wizz don’t get on like this!✈️
We have had Oman Air coming into our office to train us about their product (I work in corporate travel). Their presentation is always very different to this disaster. They really need to improve things, because they are up against some very good regional competition. Thanks for an eye-opening video.
Having flown with them myself I have noticed that they do seem a little disorganized at times however they can offer great value for money and are a great alternative to the other big Three. Great entertainment good food and ok service as well as free checked luggage and an occasional Amnenity kit. Thank you for your honest and genuine review!! Hope they improve!
As hospitable as the middle eastern culture can be, they also never forget, so for Oman Air it was 2018 all over again, they were expecting a bad review so they didn't see the need to be better, I could blame the working conditions, the poor pay, the lack of adequate training or simply the bad attitude of the airline as a whole.
i flew oman air 30 times, not one problem, all the staff are soo kind and nice, especially when departing from muscat. although they did get delayed leaving thailand once... btw if u press the power button on the ife for 10 seconds, it restarts, and shows the "your entertainment is loading" screen, common thing with ARIA... also, at 6:25 when they were handing meals around the cabin, this was actually the pre-booked special meals for the people with allergies - these meals are served before the normal serving time
Regarding your dining experience- Quite a similar thing happened to us when we were travelling to Indonesia from Bangalore India in May 2018. We opted out for Malindo Airlines. Bangalore to Malaysia flight crew was pretty clueless. We were not in extremely back of the plane but all the drinks and food option was finished. One cabin crew came to us and said- we have a vegetarian dish, if you want to try. That veggie dish looked awful. Me and my husband said-we are not going to eat, we will have some water instead(thank god to plaza premium lounge-bangalore, who saved us earlier with fantastic dine n wine choices). Malindo lady went back to the gally, they were taking. Suddenly she came back with one plate of chicken rice. She instead us to have the same. It was kinda nice of her to offer. So we had the same. Now Indonesia to Bangalore, India journey- that flight was vegetarian people's nightmare! Malindo people marked Veg Biriyani as chicken biryani and Chicken Biryani as Veg on Malaysia to Bangalore flight. I am a hardcore non vegetarian. So I was sad to see some wrong food infront of me(I was hell lot of hungry at that time and veg biryani was not tasty at all). Plus my entertainment system was broken shortly after the flight took off. It was just Cherry on the top kind of experience for me with Malindo Airlines. P. S- I mailed them about whole incident, funny thing is, they never reply 😞
Airlines begging for help during the Corona Crisis are the biggest joke of all. They are the same airlines like in this example, that in good times don't care about the customer experience at all. Or those who do their very best to not pay EC261 even in the clearest cases. And now they ask the same people they usually ignore to not claim a refund and leave their money with them for maybe another year or so. That is just ridiculous, especially when you think the customer service for rebooking is even worse than before with some airlines.
this is not surprising at all. the 99-1 rule not only applies to people, but also applies to businesses, which are created and run by people. that's why i only fly international trips with ANA, Singapore, KLM, Emirates, and Qatar, absolutely no other airlines allowed.
Dear Josh, Your videos are awesome, and really informative....pls make sure you show footage of the aircraft from outside as well, not only inboard.....Take care Buddy
I like how you asserted, "freedom of speech", but as a travel blogger, I suggest you make yourself aware of the laws in other countries. The counter lady was actually correct. Unfortunately, Oman Air have been doing poorly for a while and lately, a lot of people have been complaining about not having been refunded for tickets bought before the pandemic shut down flights to and from Oman.
I flew a few month ago with Oman Air from Paris via Muscat to Bangkok in Business Class...all I can say, it was a perfect flight and a great experience....so, for me, it depends on the crew..
True enough. I travel from London to Muscat and Muscat to Kuala Lumpur, the Oman Air flight are totally find and awesome. I travel in Economy class. I love it. All depends on the crews.
Oman Air canceled our round-trip first-class flights BKK-LHR (because of COVID19 - fair enough) and simply told me to refer to their “social media” for assistance. After repeated attempts to get a refund they remained silent. As of now I am out $4,300. 😡
I had a great experience with Oman air economy class, great food, great service. They even gave toys to my sister and hung out with my younger sister in the food court when we were waiting to get on the second plane. So yeah, I think they are a great airline. Everyone has different experiences.
Yeah you probably got better crew. Its just the matter of consistency, your experience needs to be upheld across the fleet not just by that crew you've been fortunate to fly with.
Well that's for sure sad but I think it's a single case. I've flown 8x with Oman Air (2x FRA-MCT, 2x MCT-BKK, 2x BKK-MCT, 2x MCT-FRA) and I never had a problem with the airline, the service was always great.
My screen on Oman Air froze mid-flight and I could only play whatever was displayed on the intro screen. And that was after the system came back on after crashing.
When I was flying klm Amsterdam to Nairobi the entire planes ife system was not working and they had to do an in-flight electronic systems restart just to get the ife to work.
Josh, if you've had your e-ticket issued in business class then, it's the airlines responsibly to carry you from point A to point B either on their plane in business or another carriers business class! Make waves my friend, you as a passenger have rights!
Totally agree with this review. I have tried Oman Air in 2015 and I swear that would be my first and last. The service literally a disaster, the cleanliness was an also an issue and staff are quite rude. Hope this will be addressed soon. Meanwhile, I would still hesitate to book and trust them again.
Too bad for you Josh. I personally had great travel experience with Oman Air. KUL > Muscat > LHR For me the most worst middle east airline still Eithad.
Hate this airline. The only airline I'm not going to give another chance to. 3 bad experiences on three different flights - Broken Bags, Rescheduled to wrong flight, Running out of food on Business. On top of that, no response on Twitter, no response on email, no apologies.
Sad....our experience with Oman Air has been totally opposite to yours. We travel with them when possible and will even go out of our way to fly with them.
That was very unexpected to see. I flew with them several times and I had some of my best flights ever. Once I couldnt catch a flight because of my own fault, but even then I got my money back.
I booked a business class flight on sale. 5 weeks after booking, they emailed me on 25 May saying that they made a mistake, they can downgrade the ticket to Economy or refund me. I opted for a refund and now they are not replying to my emails. They none-existing so called customer service is pathetic.
Ah I commented before watching the video. I got the infamous email from Joseph as well, same offer from Zurich - AUK that got downgraded. No sign of them giving me a refund, they just don't reply to emails
Never fly with Oman Air. Worst flight experience ever as you described it. But they are also crooked and have never reimbursed my cancelled flights since last March. Customer service is non existent and they don't stop lying to customers while refusing to refund flights which were cancelled by them for fake "operational reasons" while in reality it was just a lack of passengers for this flight.
Well done Josh, just came across this review, I really wish I'd have seen it before I started flying with Oman . I've had four return flights to the far East from the UK with them pre Covid and my experiences are very similar to yours, even their Business class service is appalling, which is a shame because their Business cabin is very well laid out but as you detailed, the cabin crew simply have no idea what they are doing and always seem to be completely miserable and unwilling to engage with the passengers, also their customer service is a complete non entity. Anyway keep up the good work.
We flew with Oman January just before COVID shut everything down. Manchester, Oman, Bangkok and back 10 days later. My screen was not working. The flight Manchester to Oman was delayed and we missed our connection to Bangkok. We were put up in a hotel overnight and put on another airline next day to Bangkok with one connection. We had a rather nice stay in Muscat for one night all paid for by Oman. Once back in the UK I made a complaint had no reply so complained again. Eventually they refunded the cost of the flights twice, result. I seem to remember the seats were rather small, food was OK.
I totally agreed with you. I took a flight Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, vietnam. Unfortunately when I arrived to Kuala Lumpur I visited Vietnam embassy unfortunately all visas to Vietnam were closed. The next morning a visited Oman air office in Kuala Lumpur and explained my situation. That when the officer contacted office in Oman. I spoke to an Oman staff explaining that I can't get a visa to Vietnam and if possible to just fly back from Kuala Lumpur to Muscat. Since that was my final destination. But I was told no.. You have to buy a new ticket... It's absolutely crazy... I totally stopped taking Oman air even if there's no other option. That's my personal opinion as an Oman citizen. Whenever you write a complaint no one act to reply. Customer service don't care.
Sir,thank you for your honest review. Kindly keep this up and don't listen to haters.... You share what you think and there is nothing wrong I can say.....
whatever the price a customer paid for their ticket, even if they did not pay much for their ticket, even if it is low cost, the service must be impeccable, as must the security. This is the job of to be a cabin crew.
I flew from London Heathrow to Muscat in December 2019, had a similarly terrible experience in Economy. Disengaged crew, no amenities, poor legroom and a lack of menu choice for the main meal. More worrying then that, I didn't see a single crew member walk through the cabin in over 5 hours!
Fair review from you is excellent... Real happen... Others "person" review only show the drama and the best part coz they know you 😅. Finally this the real thing 😍😍😍👍🏼🇮🇩
Changing their minds about allowing a discounted ticket BEFORE you book and pay is one thing. But to downgrade you AFTER you have paid (if I understood you correctly?) is THEFT!
OMG!Can't believe they were so rude after being so dishonest, and the cabin service being so chaotic (for the second time). I almost took the same flight earlier this year, now I know I shall stay away from this airline for sure. THX for the honest review as always, and not sugar coating "the airline and staff are so great because I'm famous and if I get extra service I shall give a positive review blah blah blah...(Sam C.)"
Recently took 3 economy flight MCT-CAI-MCT-CGK and was disappointed. The crew were mostly disinterested and just went through the motions. Food was very low quality. IFE basic. Worst was that while taxiing in Jakarta after arrival many passengers got up, opened the overhead lockers and walked towards the front. Apart from one feeble announcement in English the crew did nothing to stop them.
Hi Josh, I flew Oman Air last yr from ISB to MCT on their Dreamliner & my experience was comparable to that of Emirates and Qatar Airways but the 2nd leg from MCT to RUH was like a low cost carrier i.e. very pathetic
@Fraz A. Khan This seems to imply they don't have crew trained to the same consistent level. It is basically luck whether you get good cabin crew or not. No quality airline would allow that to continue. SA actually trains their cabin crew 2 weeks extra over the normal.
Wow! I am really shocked by your Video and your sad experience! I flow three times with OmanAir (1x in Business, 2x in Economy) and it was a good and nice flight. I would fly them again..... but now I will think about it.
Thanks mate...an airline to be avoided...the upgrade mess would be enough for me...terrible service...rude people....not for me !! They don't seem to realise that flight reviews like yours help us to decide with whom we are going to fly with one day !! No way !! Need to lift their game....great work mate as always...hope someone at Oman took notice !! By the sound of things probably not !!
I flew Oman air back in 2012, it is still one of the Worst flight experiences I've had, the Worst cabin crew ever. Very Rude cabin crew. They were very slow in giving out flight meal and didn't provide any to the back . I wasn't really hungry but The guy sitting next to me asked for the flight meal and the male flight attendant flat out said that he already provided and that the passenger was lying . I had to tell the flight attendant that they did not provide any meals in the back , hearing that they just handed over sandwiches in a very rude manner. I've flown few airlines but Oman Air is the Worst flight experience I've ever had.
I feel like Josh can just say random crap about airlines that aren’t that bad. Like it’s just HIS experience and it’s unfortunate that it happened in that way
I always like this guy and channel "Simply Aviation" by David and Felix from Vienna. Bruatlly and honest review. Sam Chui is different "fairy tale" review and never relate with his channel haha
"flying is not only taking you from A to B safely, it's only the part of it" made my day. I would rather say it's all about taking you from A to B safely. Rest is the part of it
I had same experience on food quality, entertainment, and the crew. I prefer to chose other airlines if I wanna taste gulf countries flight experience.
Flew with them in January this year Horrible service and in flight catering overall Flew on 4 sectors and some crew were pretty good but the majority had severe attitude problems I went through being told the whole “you can’t record” and “ off the camera” as well so I can totally relate Another problem I have with them is the fact that they constantly change their aircraft and downgrade to their 737’s which is very frustrating I totally regretted giving them a second chance tbh Never again!
It seems that the general rule of thumb would be to avoid state-owned airlines. They never have to maintain a good customer experience, since the government would bail them out whenever they make losses.

Theyre from the middle east and they have a 'ruler' - therefore they will do WHAT they want WHEN they want and if you don't like it 🤷♂️
I flew Omam Air earlier this year and it was absolutely useless. My IFE did not work for the entire of my first flight. They turned the IFE of over 30 minutes before landing on the second flight. On both flights the service was very slow with disinterested crew. After my experience and watching your video I will definitely be avoiding Oman Air in the future.
It’s a good airline, like all airlines you can get a bad experience sometimes
Interesting, I flew with Oman air last year. From KL to Muscat, Muscat to Milan, Casablanca to Muscat and Muscat to KL. The other sector was to and from Melbourne with Malaysian Airlines (who were average)
The sectors with Oman air were amazing, great service the cabin was clean and the seats were fabulous.
Same here I flew business class with Oman air to Bangkok it was amazing in every aspect
same dude all oman air flights i went in were clean and the staff was extremely friendly
@@ztbrtivbln899 They have done some major changes and are much better now!
Well Sam Chui better see this if he flies Economy on Oman Air lol
Yeh he’s not very nice towards flight hostesses
I am from oman and I fly economy all the time! Their service is amazing.
The plane could crash and Sam Chui would still say the flight was AMAZING!
So that he can message the CEO make sure u have everything ready for me 😂🤣
Sam Chui that bloke is a fake as Kardashian’s posterior 😒
My wife and I nearly booked these guys last year. Glad we paid a little extra and stuck with our favourite, Thai International, super consistent levels of service and good food!
i mean thai airlines isnt that bad but oman air service is so stupid
Is this their common practice at all?
you would think with the compotition in the region it would be better, even african airlines are amazing now
Yes it is normal practice.
I flied 4 times from Milan to Muscat , all 4 times the service was really good
if they don't improve they gotta change their name to Oh-Man Air instead. That's an honest perspective of the review
😂
Made my day hahaha
What a great idea 🤣
Lol 😆
lol😂😂😂😂😂😂
I agree.. it's value for money ( most of the cse ) decent service for that money
why you did not take Indian airways it's cheapest also you keep traveling with Oman air more than 7 times and you keep complain then use your Indian flight it's cheapest also you really stupid. about Oman air what they did to MR.
As an ex staff of this airline I can resonate to what you have experienced, Josh... they haven't changed and will never...God help them..
Indescribeable management team.. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎. Wasta wasta.
Thank you for this review I am from Oman and I was on Oman Air going to Bangkok with my toddler and an infant and the service was really bad they were careless!!!!!!!! I did complain but they never responded !!!
You might have had a bad experience. I have travelled with Oman Air. I loved everything about it.
you got lucky then a lot of people including myself had a shit experience with oman air
Are you Sam Chui? Just kidding 😁😂😂
Yeah Qatar are loads better it seems.
Thanks for the heads up, all noted to avoid "oh man" 🙄Air.
7:14 the eye roll from his annoyed seat mate. Lol
The pay is good.
i flew oman air 30 times, not one problem, all the staff are soo kind and nice, especially when departing from muscat. although they did get delayed leaving thailand once... btw if u press the power button on the ife for 10 seconds, it restarts, and shows the "your entertainment is loading" screen, common thing with ARIA... also, at 6:25 when they were handing meals around the cabin, this was actually the pre-booked special meals for the people with allergies - these meals are served before the normal serving time
Excellent video - your reviews seem honest and straightforward, I hope the powers that be watch this and reach out to you.
Thanks for a GREAT review. The most brutally honest are the easiest remembered -- and reinforce the validity of your favorable reviews.
Regarding your dining experience-
Quite a similar thing happened to us when we were travelling to Indonesia from Bangalore India in May 2018.
P. S- I mailed them about whole incident, funny thing is, they never reply 😞
stop you essay and shut up. why do you insult oman air go and insult you unsafe air india
I had the same bad experience with Oman Air....never again! Avoid this airline!!!
And China Airways. Loose luggage and no communication then get luggage after 1 week in US. Lol. Oh wait a minute it’s China.
same here
Airlines begging for help during the Corona Crisis are the biggest joke of all.
No idea why I’m binge watching your videos but I’m loving it.
I’m not going to travel with this airline 😐
this is not surprising at all. the 99-1 rule not only applies to people, but also applies to businesses, which are created and run by people. that's why i only fly international trips with ANA, Singapore, KLM, Emirates, and Qatar, absolutely no other airlines allowed.
Their official motto is "Oman Air - We don't care." No wonder you got a bad experience.
Moral of the story is to avoid Oman Air. Take warning from your experience. Excellent review. 🇬🇧
Oman Air canceled our round-trip first-class flights BKK-LHR (because of COVID19 - fair enough) and simply told me to refer to their “social media” for assistance. After repeated attempts to get a refund they remained silent. As of now I am out $4,300. 😡
You can actually sue them if they dont give it to you
I had a great experience with Oman air economy class, great food, great service. They even gave toys to my sister and hung out with my younger sister in the food court when we were waiting to get on the second plane. So yeah, I think they are a great airline. Everyone has different experiences.
cool
Lol happened to me on a Turkish flight from Istanbul to Almaty. It was because of how loud the engines were. It was a Boeing 777
Josh, if you've had your e-ticket issued in business class then, it's the airlines responsibly to carry you from point A to point B either on their plane in business or another carriers business class! Make waves my friend, you as a passenger have rights!
oman air offers the cheapest flights in the middle east.. maybe the reason why service is bad..
Have you tried Kuwait air? Just as bad.
Cheap if you're transferring

Totally agree with this review. I have tried Oman Air in 2015 and I swear that would be my first and last. The service literally a disaster, the cleanliness was an also an issue and staff are quite rude. Hope this will be addressed soon. Meanwhile, I would still hesitate to book and trust them again.
So which airline is worse? Malaysia Airlines or Oman Air?
booth. the best airline is air india cuz its spicy airline.
Been flying Oman Air since 2007 and they were great once upon a time. Hence it's sad to see this video now.
Thanks for this video. I was going to book with them for an upcoming trip next month. Now I am going with a different airline.
And some other reviewers love Oman Air lol, i knew they are definitely paid positive reviews.
I'm not saying it's Sam Chui 😅

@Linus Britto Every single country in the middle east is trying to promote tourism by paying influnencers.
I was on business class three times with Oman Air..and weirdly i have liked them more than flying Emirates and Etihad business classes ..
Too bad for you Josh. I personally had great travel experience with Oman Air. KUL > Muscat > LHR
For me the most worst middle east airline still Eithad.
Recently took oman air this month and it was completely different from this review, it was really good. I see they improved a lot
I see they got an award from "Scamtrax" 😂
Hasan 737-8E9 nice, then Biman also deserves a 4 star from ‘ScamTrax’ isn’t it? :) good to see you S2-AHO/S2-AHV here. :D
No bias, real flight experience. This is because Oman Air terminated all expats, what will you expect?
I had an ok experience from them, i agree with the slow crew and the broken ife
Never fly with Oman Air. Worst flight experience ever as you described it. But they are also crooked and have never reimbursed my cancelled flights since last March. Customer service is non existent and they don't stop lying to customers while refusing to refund flights which were cancelled by them for fake "operational reasons" while in reality it was just a lack of passengers for this flight.
Well done Josh,
just came across this review, I really wish I'd have seen it before I started flying with Oman .
I miss flying Qantas, it’s random so if you feel your time is wasted on this comment, Have a nice day
The best airline, our national airline 🇦🇺
For me it's JAL... the tailor made menus🤤
I’m surprised they’d could even afford to fuel the plane.
Can u?
Sam Chui is more famous and maybe thats why airlines like him and treat him really good. But Josh is really honest and doesn’t lie in his reviews.
Remind me to never fly with Josh.. Ever. Haha 😂 😜 😉 🙃
We're you sitting next to him lolll
Sir,thank you for your honest review. Kindly keep this up and don't listen to haters.... You share what you think and there is nothing wrong I can say.....
Im sure...sam chui was paid off well for review
He was in business so he probably got better service
whatever the price a customer paid for their ticket, even if they did not pay much for their ticket, even if it is low cost, the service must be impeccable, as must the security.
True man I had the same problem and same rout.
U might have gone to sleep that's may b u dint see the crew walking through the aisle
Fair review from you is excellent... Real happen... Others "person" review only show the drama and the best part coz they know you 😅. Finally this the real thing 😍😍😍👍🏼🇮🇩
Wait Sam made a review about Oman air an it was fascinating what happened
Sam tells the airline he is going
Sam's main work is to advertise.
To be fair, he only reviewed first and business class. Seems like they just don't care about economy passengers and just want the $$$

That’s why I love watching Josh, he’s honest and you get the full experience of what the airline is like
You actually destroyed them even before getting into the video with that food thumbnail 👀😂
9:41 I cracked up.. hahahahaba lmaoo
We don’t have want to see u in OMANAIR
Recently took 3 economy flight MCT-CAI-MCT-CGK and was disappointed. The crew were mostly disinterested and just went through the motions. Food was very low quality. IFE basic. Worst was that while taxiing in Jakarta after arrival many passengers got up, opened the overhead lockers and walked towards the front. Apart from one feeble announcement in English the crew did nothing to stop them.
Hi Josh, I flew Oman Air last yr from ISB to MCT on their Dreamliner & my experience was comparable to that of Emirates and Qatar Airways but the 2nd leg from MCT to RUH was like a low cost carrier i.e. very pathetic
what so Josh is you god now?
Hi there am from Africa Kenya Mombasa try out our Kenya air ways. And wellcome to my country.
Now OMAN AIR cancelled flight from MUC to BKK. Start 3.April.2022. Why they cancell flight?
Thanks mate...an airline to be avoided...the upgrade mess would be enough for me...terrible service...rude people....not for me !! They don't seem to realise that flight reviews like yours help us to decide with whom we are going to fly with one day !! No way !! Need to lift their game....great work mate as always...hope someone at Oman took notice !! By the sound of things probably not !!
But not gonna lie this airline isn’t really to be avoided…it’s actually very good not as good as the others but really underrated
Like it’s just HIS experience and it’s unfortunate that it happened in that way
Oman can be quite shitty to be honest
I love your videos Josh! Thank you so much for always sharing nothing but the truth!
I always like this guy and channel "Simply Aviation" by David and Felix from Vienna. Bruatlly and honest review. Sam Chui is different "fairy tale" review and never relate with his channel haha

Ive been traveling in oman aor like past 3 yrs . It was so goodd! But I don’t no about others…

I really appreciate that you call airlines out for their bullshit unlike a particular Sam Chui
He gets paid by airline and he gets special services
Sam gets paid & airlines know before he comes so they prepare for him a superb service. Never trust Sam Chui
Bruh, I don't know what happened to you but I've been flying Oman Air for the past 10yrs and they are one of the best ...atleast in my case ❤️💫👍
Thank you for this information. Easy for me to book a different airline. I dont like to have this experiance by myself.
I flew 2 times with Oman Air but the service was OK not that bad. over all experience is 7 out of 10. The ticket price is very value for money.
Flew with them in January this year
Horrible service and in flight catering overall
Flew on 4 sectors and some crew were pretty good but the majority had severe attitude problems
I went through being told the whole “you can’t record” and “ off the camera” as well so I can totally relate
Another problem I have with them is the fact that they constantly change their aircraft and downgrade to their 737’s which is very frustrating
I totally regretted giving them a second chance tbh
Never again!
It seems that the general rule of thumb would be to avoid state-owned airlines. They never have to maintain a good customer experience, since the government would bail them out whenever they make losses.
