Thanks for a great educational video. For someone like me with no trapping experience this was incredibly well presented and demonstrated. Thanks Dave.
Im sure Dave wont see this, but i used to watch these videos from Dave years ago and dreamt about building a home somewhere with lots of trees. i was in a miserable situation and it took about 7 years but i finally found the courage to do it, and last year at this time i was shaving bark of pines and today i live in a tipi spending my days crafting anything within limits of imagination and working for my own heat, and starting to delve into trapping again with a real purpose. I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration and teachings from the bottom of my heart. And if anyone else feels the same about making a lifestyle change, go for it! it was the best choice i have made in my life
Here in Wyoming, if your housecat strays off your proppity, it’s classified as a varmint. I’ve trapped and shot a lot of Tabbys over the years. “I wonder what happened to Oscar. He didn’t come home this morning.” Haha
Thought about you showing various scenarios with L7 and realized that the trap could be set for fish, and animals on the bank at the same time. Better use of resources…..since snares are hit and miss at best, having to create all the parts why not double your odds of getting something… if you double your odds, you could set up half as many traps if time is a factor…this would save time building parts for these traps.. thanks for sharing
I love working with primitive traps. When I went to a State Trapping Certification Class however, they did nothing but down them as worthless and many times illegal as well. I still enjoy practice with them. Never know when that day comes when I'll need them for real.
I love Dave. The knowledge he teaches for free for us on you tube is a blessing. Thank you sir.
Dave has likely forgotten more about bushcraft then most people will ever know. Endless knowledge. Definitely one of the best in the business👍🏼👍🏼

🇺🇸🙋♀️🐴🍃 Wow, very inventive! I love that you can take things in the woods and make what you need to catch food!👍🏻
Dave's the man. He's the modern day best there is.
Intriguing. Now I want to setup several L7 fishing traps.

Amazing Dave ! This changed my whole paradigm of the trigger system. I could see this working even with a deadfall.
