I considered it just because of 5g and my LTE isn't the best but I have 5g in my area. A budget device can allow some to purchase devices more often. That is also the strategy with this product. Unlike flagships, these phones processors really lose luster after 2 years. I plan to keep this phone updated every 2.5 years or so. Iphones or main pixels can last longer and also hold their value longer from what I see. My pixel 3a XL already lost about half its value but that's what I figured when I bought it. Ultimately I think I will also wait for the pixel 5a release hopefully mid 2021.
Phone enthusiasts like me, because I don't have the budget for top range models, and I like to experiment with diffferent OEMs to see what I like. Now I'm looking to get hands on a Pixel, and budget only allows me to buy an old Pixel 3a. It still has around a year of updates left, so I'll see if I keep it when that's over. Oneplus was on my radar, but they've gone up in price over last couple of years.

Hi I am from Indonesia, I've been looking to get my first Pixel phone since my Galaxy A51 broke down after just one year of usage. Unfortunately Google Pixel isn't officially marketed here, so the price here is higher than in the US. New Pixel 4a costs about $525 after tax, while used Pixel 3a XL costs about $200. Do you think the 4a is worth the price or should I just get the Pixel 3a XL and save some money?
I have a 3a, I am always looking to find a smaller phone. Is the size difference worth it for someone who thinks the iPhone 4 and 5 were perfectly sized phones?
It will probably fit in the pocket better, but using it will be practically the same as the 3a, it has a slightly larger screen than the 3a. You are better off looking at the iPhone 12 mini just for the size, but I don't know if the price difference is worth it, because I've never used an iPhone.

Hi Zain, I don't know if you bought your phone yet but I came here for the same reason as you. After some thought I realised the money I could save on not buying a 4a and buying a 3a at half the price I could actually put to something worthwhile, like savings, or a holiday, a new car or something or some real worth. The difference in the two phones isn't massive and if money is an issue then be wise with your cash. The 3a is a great phone that I can buy now for 150 bucks brand new so I'm gonna buy that and put the money I save to something that in life that actually means something. Just my thoughts anyway.
