IT'S HEREEEEEEEEEEEE. Enjoy my last vid of the year! I forgot to mention I'll be on...semi break in January. (Meaning I may not post but know I'll be gamin!) Look forward to another list video, reviews on Legend of Legaia and Trails of Cold Steel !! And I'm not gonna lie Legend of Legaia has really put me into a PS1 mood, so I'm looking at Vagrant Story and Vagrant Story is lookin' at me! I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again: I love your honesty. Your honesty is what keeps me coming back for more. Sponsored or not, I will keep coming back. You are one of my favorite UA-camrs and I’ll always click wherever a video pops up. I’m proud of how much you’ve grown over the years, and I’m thankful to past me for clicking a link on Facebook to bring me your channel. I don’t know what else I can say other than keep up the awesome awesome work. 🙂
I agree with this. Only thing I've ever disagreed with is Mech/Gundam take in this video, but your praise and understanding of the greatness of FFV definitely balances it out lol.
You are the first person I check reviews from when I consider picking up a JRPG, I find it very refreshing how you both praise aspects of the games but also are critical enough to acknowledge where a game might fall short, it can make a different between me spending my money and my time for something that just isn't for me. I think watching hype/positive reviews is fun, but it's not what I personally look for. Happy New Year!!
Ahhh! The Legend of Dragoon menu music at the end of the video got me feeling things! My boy Lavitz for life! Thanks for always being you Pelvic and Happy New Year!
Been following you for a while and my favorite thing about you, beside the overall quality and your honest and fun personality, is your attention to the MUSIC in video games. Happy 2024 and onwards to a new year!
Keep doing your thing sis! Your reviews are fair, informative, and you can tell you ACTUALLY put the work in to learn the ins and outs of the game. If no ever told you, that Pokemon trainer video you made was hilarious!
I am going to continue watching your videos. The honest and sincere take on games, even those you don't like but I do, it's great for a change. You speak your heart out, and that's good, no matter the subject.
You’re truly one of the funniest people on Al Gore’s internet. This and the Top 2025 RPG videos were such a treat during the crazy holidays. Appreciate you and all that you do, I hope you have a great new year! 🎉
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Your passion is so raw and real, and your love for good music is dope AF, I can see the real work and love you put into making them. Your makeup is always on point and flawless. Thank you for being the amazing woman you are. I always look forward to watching what you put out. 💚 p.s. The Legend Of Dragoon music is life.
I'm a new subscriber, came from the recommendations of rpgs you (probably) never played. Radiant Historia in the thumbnail made me click and it was, in fact, the only game I've played on that list, though I've heard of all of them (but the title was NOT "rpgs you've never heard of" so no complains here). You are very charismatic, I'm loving hearing your honest opinions. Hope your channel keeps growing. Have a great new year!
Hello and welcome!! Thank you for joining the Pelvic Region Legion lmfao. Thank you for watching, and I hope you find a few games on that list that you want to play! :D
I’m still in shock you love romancing saga 2 so much. That to me proves that even if you have a type of game that you like, you give every game a fair chance and if you love it you love it. Queen of slay taste.
I'm honestly shocked i love it so much myself. As a character driven person and considering you didn't play the most thrilling characters.. I was hooked! And yes it's important to try all sorts of game because you'll never know what you may or maynot fall in love with!
Ayyye been waiting for this video. I don't play as much JRPG's like I did back in the day but at some point will play most of the ones you reviewed (I got my Persona 3 Reload physical copy!). Also congrats on the success this year, you've been uploading some good content and can't wait to see more next year. Also I'm sooo looking forward to Expedition 33. I remember seeing the trailer and was like "eh realism probably some shooter or something" then boom turned based combat. Looking forward to that review as well.
You’ve always been great with your critiques and reviews of games! You’re consistently honest and keep to your actual perspective that’s not influenced by others’ opinions. Stay slaying!!
I've had a great time watching your vids this year Pelvic. My top two favorites have got to be your Paper Mario review and your Japan trip storytime with Valerie. Can't wait to see what you cook up in the New Year!
I love JRPGs. It was always my favorite genre when growing up. Now days I don't have time to really sink into one anymore, so watching reviews or streams of people playing them is my way to experience JRPGs im missing out on.
In defence of nitpicking I actually enjoy it quite a lot! It’s a lot more useful and interesting to me to hear a nuanced take about something minor rather than a big sweeping generalisation of “it’s good” or “it’s bad”. Like I don’t know what some of those other people are doing but when I follow a UA-camr I actually want to hear what they think! Also LOVE your clapping back at the haters. It’s always wild to me when people leave hate comments and yet stay subscribed and watch all the videos just to complain. Like thanks for the engagement I guess but couldn’t be me!
I appreciate that outlook. I try to find a balance, to get into the nitty gritty, but also not let it drag on for too much. Thank you so much for watching! DUDE COULDN'T BE ME EITHER. lf there is a channel I dislike, fine, but I'd just ya know, block and move on. Wouldn't give 'em a second thought! They're just built different I guess.
I think you're around 10 years younger than me (if I had to guess), so I find it fun to hear your opinion on games I may have played years ago. It does feel good to hear when the younger generations enjoy something I once enjoyed, but it's usually even more interesting to hear those times where you have a different perspective. It really blows when I see some of those more negative comments that look to diminish your opinions because you're younger or a woman or whatever they want to focus on. If these people love these games so much, they should be doing things to invite and encourage others to play them. How else do we expect to keep them alive? Thanks for the enjoyable, honest content, and best of luck in years go come!
Second year watching your retrospective videos and I’m now looking forward to them! I’ve been considering playing two little known JRPGs that you might be interested in - G.O.D: Heed the Call to Awaken and LISA. You know, if you want to add more to your backlog :)
Great wrap-up video Lady Pelvic. From my perspective, the negative comments are really quite silly - given we are talking about a hobby such as gaming. For what it’s worth, I (and obviously others) obviously enjoy your commentary and perspectives. Happy new year and happy holidays!
Thing with "games you've never played" lists is people expect you'll materialize some unknowns out of the ether. Reality is there's enough readily available information out there that no game can remain undetected hidden gem for long. Even the Chinese RPG scene is opening up.
I found you through a random UA-cam recommendation about a month ago. The algorithm showed me your old Xenoblade Chronicles review, and that's one of my favorite game series. Watched all your other Xenoblade Chronicles reviews and saw that we basically shared the same opinions on them, and I thought it was cool you were able to appreciate the magic of Xenoblade Chronicles X even though it's in a genre you don't normally like. That's what convinced me you have good taste and that you're a great reviewer, not just because we share opinions (I'm actually the opposite of you and love sci-fi settings but don't care much for medieval swords-and-magic type settings), but because you're willing to praise things you normally wouldn't like. So many reviewers and people in general are quick to write off anything that doesn't conform to their specific tastes. Or in the other end there are many people who will blindly praise everything that matches their tastes in one certain way (e.g some people love any and every game with anime-style graphics just because they like anime, regardless if the gameplay or story/characters are actually good). I'm actually surprised your channel isn't bigger or that UA-cam didn't recommend you to me sooner. I've bought a couple of games that I normally wouldn't have given a chance because of your reviews. Keep up the good work and regardless of your subscriber count or what the haters say, you put out some of the best game review content I've seen on UA-cam. Though I'll have to get over the fact that you hate my favorite composer Motoi Sakuraba 😅
Omg this was the SWEETEST comment! Thank you so much for the kind words, this made my day honestly~! And thank you! I think it's important to acknowledge when games have done something right! I believe you can find something good about every game, even if it isn't for you. Omg, I'm so honored! Well, at the very least I really hope the games you got via my recommendation you enjoy!! /Sigh Alas, I don't know what to tell you about liking Motoi Sakuraba. Hahaha. Nah, I'm glad someone likes him because I sure don't. Haha. BUT at least I said something POSITIVE about him in this video!!
@PelvicGaming I'm glad I was able to brighten your day. Have you ever heard of/played the Baten Kaitos games? They flew under the radar when they were originally released on Gamecube, and the re-released collection on Switch last year also flew under the radar. They were made by Monolith Soft and you can see a lot of the building blocks for the Xenoblade Chronicles games started with the Baten Kaitos series. Motoi Sakuraba is the main composer, but the OST is filled with amazing music and these games are the reason why he's my favorite composer, I'm sure you'll like at least half of the songs. If nothing else I'm sure you will appreciate how unique the combat system is, I have never seen another RPG with a similar combat system as the Baten Kaitos games. The two games in the series also have vastly different combat mechanics from each other, if they didn't take place in the same world it would be hard to believe that they are part of the same series. It would be awesome if you ever got a chance to play and review them, I'd even send you a copy of the Switch collection so I can enjoy buying it again 😂
stoked for lunar, suikoden 1 2, and expedition as well ! as far as different tastes, it doesnt affect me, i dont care to have only people/content creators that view everything as i do. also what was the song at the end, i know it but couldnt ID it !
Massive congrats Pelvic on the 53k subs this year!!!!! Also thanks for the usual great content throughout the year this year as well. Looking forward to what next year brings.
Dogsitting right now, and I brought my Switch to start Thousand Year Door. First time I've played it in almost 20 years, and I'm really enjoying it, too! Romancing SaGa 2 is my favorite for the year, tho.
ANOTHER VIDEO? Lady P is spoiling us y'all. 😁 I totally agree with you on Eiyuden Chronicle as well. I struggled to get about 10 hrs in and haven't gone back to it since it came out. The story just didnt grab me and I wasn't the biggest fan of the combat and "gimmicks." It actually made me want to revisit the Suikoden series. I'm planning on going through all 5.
Although I often disagree with you, I value your opinion very much because you are passionate about the RPG genre and you speak sincerely without trying to please the public.
Even the big accounts request the subscriptions and notifications, they just do. I’ve also seen a few creators add some stats to that and it makes the ask more real. I bought P3R after your highly detailed review and comparison really sold me on why I would bother after I’d already played Portable. Good work from you and smart partnership from Atlus as well.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't get into eiyuden chronicles. I played it on the xbox, so there weren't any technical issues that i noticed. It just didn't grab me. Honestly it made me want to go back and just play suikoden again.
Take the sponsorships and pay the bills. There's nothing wrong with being paid for the entertainment and insights you provide. Thank you for all of it!
I love to beat a dead horse, but in 2025 give Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Fantasian: Neo Dimension a look. Just a slight little stare, a tiny little peak. Congrats on another awesome year, still one of the most cozy JRPG channels out there. ❤
Happy New Year Lady P!!! You just convinced me to give Paper Mario 1000 Yr Door a chance. I got some eShop gift cards this Xmas. I buy mostly physical games, but a free game can’t be beat. Looking forward to all your content in 2025 especially with Switch 2 coming soon. ❤
I am still waiting to get my copy of chained echos as well I forgot all about until i saw one of your recent vids that shit sucks! But your cool keep up the great work Pelvic!
Excellent choices for background music; just off the top of my head, Seiken Densetsu 3, Legend of Dragoon, and that one Kid Icarus: Uprising song I like! Since you liked Romancing SaGa 2 (I did, too, though I only played the demo), might I give another little nudge toward SaGa Frontier? It's definitely... fussy, and it takes a bit (twenty-some years for me lol) to fully master every aspect of the battle system, but Zaraktheus put out a lot of great material for that, finally grasping something is SUPER satisfying, and the characters and plotlines are some of the most unique I've seen; Emelia's "bad" ending still gets me emotional, and Asellus's life is so eerily similar to my own it's not even funny. I know there's a remaster that came out in recent years, but I can't say I know a whole lot about it.
I have watched your videos for years and you definitely do mention when you think that you might be being knit-picky. if I could find a physical copy of Chained Echoes, I would happily buy it and send it to you. it is getting DLC this year, so maybe it will have a new physical edition after that comes out? Let me know if there is some way that I can get you to play this, what I feel is overlooked, game.
For 2025, may I suggest Saga Frontier 2 (emulated) or maybe hopefully they'll release the remaster/remake by then. I've played it before, but never beat it for some reason, probably because I was a dumb kid. This game is a masterpiece. The best Saga game in the series, and square needs to give it the Revenge of the Seven treatment, but HD-2D, NO 3D models, and some voice acting. If they do what they did to Final Fantasy Tactics War of The Lions, you will be eating well... 🙃
I enjoy your videos and channel. I was recently in a live chat on Super Derek's channel and several people said Secret of Mana hadn't aged well. I have to agree I couldn't finish it. I haven't been able to get into Star Ocean either.
I really like the way you review the games. You are objective and say what you think, if you do not like a thing that most people do, you say it anyway. Beautiful woman with integrity
Great vid and happy holidays. I am looking forward to the viewers' comments video. Also, I can't wait for the expedition to come out. Palworld, DQ 3D, and POE2 are filling the void until then. Ps. Mom and Daughter DND when?
Loved the way you handled the comments! I do wish some people would understand that their opinion or your opinion wasn't the be-all, end-all on these games. Great video either way! Also P.S. you showing your copy of P3R just reminds me I need to go back and finish it.
Kudus to you, and everything for future content going forward! I was honestly curious what you thought of FF7 too. But FF7 is pretty much the only FF games I’ve played start to finish so I come from a casual FF fan perspective. I have since assumed you wasn’t a fan of FF7, or avoiding hate knowing how popular that entry is for the FF series. I been following you for a good long while, and while I don’t especially engage a lot, I have enjoyed your videos plentiful. I fully respect any, and all of your opinions. In fact a lot of the time, you have refreshing takes, and interests. At the end of the day, I know you’re just being you, and being honest. That is the most important, and main reason I enjoy the channel on top of delivering overall great content as a fellow gamer. I think you’re very professional, and badass. Always look forward to what you cook. Lol
I get the Eiyuden hate but ugh I just loved Eiyuden Chronicle - tbf I got it recently on PS5 on sale and had no expectations except a pretty older style RPG and was very happy with it
Maybe I'll go back to it, admittedly the biggest blight of that game was the technical issues on the Switch. No exaggeration it was B A D. I'm glad they've cleaned it up, and maybe one day I'll go back to my darling Franchesa. Best healer
@@PelvicGamingto be fair, I hadn’t played Suikoden 1 or 2 back in the day, so I had nothing to compare it to. Your vids actually made me want to check them out and I put about 10 hrs into Sui 1 when they announced the Remaster and I stopped (can’t wait for that btw). I only heard horror stories about the technical issues and that really suuuucks. I dunno, maybe it’s an instance where a Eiyuden 2 could clean some stuff up, modernize some things (please let me save on the world map cmon) and do well 💁🏼♀️
People are way too overprotective of their favorite games. Them basically just saying you're better off not playing 7 because you'll be "too nitpicky" is an indictment on them, not on you. If someone can't handle having even minor flaws pointed out in their favorite games then they probably shouldn't be watching reviews period. Also Redux is CLEARLY the better version of Strange Journey. I get the change in art style is hard to get over, but overall the game is just a better quality experience. Fuck the haters, just because they don't like something doesn't mean they gotta shit on people who are fine with or even enjoy it. I'm not a big fan of lots of games but you won't catch me ACTUALLY thinking someone has bad taste because they like or dislike something I have the opposite opinion on. It's just video games people, chill the fuck out. Art is subjective and all that noise.
Thank you. And I agree. At the end of the day, it's my opinion, if you agree with me great, if ya don't, great. It will not make FF7 any more or any less better for another. Also REDUX SUPERIORITY!!! I agree with the art style, BUT they ADDED art which made *a moment* incredibly more impactful imo. But that aside, I had a significantly smoother playthrough of a game that was already kicking my ass. I agree. People don't like games I love all the time. I genuinely, do not care, there is nothing anyone can say to make me hate Tales of Graces F. lmfao.
@@PelvicGaming Exactly. It's just not worth the mental effort to get pissed about people having a different opinion on video games. I don't get how people like competitive shooters for example but like I don't care enough to complain if one of my friends is playing that over something I like such as Alliance Alive or FF14 or whatever my obsession is that week.
Hey PG, I was not gonna comment cause I was watching while doing the dishes, but I stopped just to support you after I saw the Strange Journey comments. I was stocked when I saw in the community section that we started playing at the same week and you got much furter, much faster than me (Eridanus got me down so much). I started with the original version just cause of the art and I regreted so much when you told us what QoL changes Redux had. This game is fkn annoying and you kinda rock for not taking those sexist comments serious. Also congrats on what you built and got with the channel, I take you so seriously cause you really know how to express your love for video games, I hope 2025 keeps up with the good things coming. Happy new year
Hiya! I appreciate it! I think it's SUPER cool to find someone playing the same game I am -specifically when it's not a new release. Cool to chat about ya know? Oof, the original?? You are a stronger person than I. Yeah honestly, no point in taking the sexist comment seriously because anyone who uses their brain knows your sex doesn't dictate what games you like and don't like. Thank you for your kind words and happy new year to you and yours!!
I don't think I'm gonna play as much new titles next year mostly playing games I already have like Metaphor & Shin Megami Tensei V. I will probably pick up Suikoden I & II when that comes out. I've played a few hours of Suikoden IV but didn't like that one as much but I've heard amazing things on the first two games. I hope you will keep striving & I will look forward to your new videos. ^_^
I don’t understand why people get mad at UA-camrs who take sponsorships. You become a UA-camr to make money and you make money through sponsorships. I say get all of them you can!
I think you will like ff7. It has that magic i think. i played it recently after like 25 years? That train pulls in ... that intro is great. Then you get in a fight and that battle theme starts playing... magic. it looks rough now, but you can mod in better field models and such.
I had no idea you had those issues with Chained Echoes, thats really unfortunate. I really hope they give you your money back or give you the actual game
OG FF7 is pretty damn good but perhaps slightly overrated. Am ready for square to acknowledge other gems in the series or create new ones. great vid as usual!
Have you tried looking at JRPG inspired TTRPGs like Fabula Ultima and Ryuutama? Not sure if TTRPGs are your vibe, but you seem like you'd be amazing as either a player or GM.

Its SUCH a great menu theme. Alas I could never play Lavtiz, his timings were too difficult.
it's only up from here, Pelvic! So so so proud of you.
I finally got my copy of paper mario thousand year door

I liked the video and I am looking forward to your 2025 projects!
Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
I love this channel.
Have a great new year!
You too! :)
Thing with "games you've never played" lists is people expect you'll materialize some unknowns out of the ether. Reality is there's enough readily available information out there that no game can remain undetected hidden gem for long. Even the Chinese RPG scene is opening up.
I can't get 'em all damnit
As always, loved your content this year. And I finally order Shin Megami Tensei IV so I’m stoked to finally try it out per your recommendation!
Calling the greatest death in video games history "Getting your belly button pierced" is easily the greatest quote of 2024. I love this channel.
Haha thank you. Appreciate cha watchin'!
It would be awesome if you ever got a chance to play and review them, I'd even send you a copy of the Switch collection so I can enjoy buying it again 😂
truly my favorite video of the year!
Always look forward to these vids! Thanks for highlighting one of my comments too! Hope the new year is great for you Pel!
stoked for lunar, suikoden 1 2, and expedition as well ! as far as different tastes, it doesnt affect me, i dont care to have only people/content creators that view everything as i do. also what was the song at the end, i know it but couldnt ID it !
I totally agree with you on Eiyuden Chronicle as well. I struggled to get about 10 hrs in and haven't gone back to it since it came out. The story just didnt grab me and I wasn't the biggest fan of the combat and "gimmicks." It actually made me want to revisit the Suikoden series. I'm planning on going through all 5.
The way I screamed when toilet vlogs came up! XD
Haha imagine my surprise
Cool video! Thanks for being the ultimate Queen of Good Taste!
Although I often disagree with you, I value your opinion very much because you are passionate about the RPG genre and you speak sincerely without trying to please the public.
Thank you, I truly appreciate that. :) Happy new year!
I’m hoping in 2025 square enix finally brings Chrono trigger to modern consoles I love final fantasy and dragon quest so I am ready for Chrono trigger
Really enjoy your videos!
Ive recently gotten myself down a JRPG spiral. its been a great a year of games
I completely agree with your take on Persona 3 Reload and Saga 2. Metaphor Refantazio is also one of my faves. Amazing games!
Youre looking like a yoshitaka amano painting, which is probsbly the best compliment I ever gave someone.
I'll take it, thank you.
Update: A song that gives me the feels is Melodies of Life from FF9. I choke on tears every damn time I listen which is often.😅
Thank you! Rest assured, I will!! And Melodies of Life is a solid choice. It's the ending of FF9 for me, the entire package got me fucked up haha.
Expedition 33 looks super sweet, I can't wait to play it
Right???
Here's to a Pelvic-y 2025
I love to beat a dead horse, but in 2025 give Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Fantasian: Neo Dimension a look. Just a slight little stare, a tiny little peak. Congrats on another awesome year, still one of the most cozy JRPG channels out there. ❤
I was thinking about it but alas, so many games and not enough time to play them~!
@ I understand that. Looking forward to whatever you play next.
I can't believe you! Finish up a video about a year in review with what you are looking forward to in the upcoming year! Such a girl gamer move.
I am still waiting to get my copy of chained echos as well I forgot all about until i saw one of your recent vids that shit sucks! But your cool keep up the great work Pelvic!
Yeah. It sucks but aside from that! Happy gaming!
I can’t wait to see what you’ll play next in 2025 ❤❤❤
Excellent choices for background music; just off the top of my head, Seiken Densetsu 3, Legend of Dragoon, and that one Kid Icarus: Uprising song I like!
The give me my motherfucking money back I felt that in my soul!
I enjoy your videos and channel. I was recently in a live chat on Super Derek's channel and several people said Secret of Mana hadn't aged well. I have to agree I couldn't finish it. I haven't been able to get into Star Ocean either.
I'm glad I'm not alone! xP
Damn girl Square is throwing the bag at you to play their games. Didn't know you had it like that respect.
Clair Obscur looks so good, im so hyped for it.
Dude same!
Loved the way you handled the comments! I do wish some people would understand that their opinion or your opinion wasn't the be-all, end-all on these games. Great video either way! Also P.S. you showing your copy of P3R just reminds me I need to go back and finish it.
Secret of Mana was amazing...when it was the 90's and I had maybe played ~5 RPGs in my entire life.
2:10 Unintentional ASMR
my Autistic brain loved it.
I kept the last video in my watch later to rewatch when I am looking for a game to play lol
I like your unique reviews. Goodbye, I'll wait in 2025😊
Hey PG, I was not gonna comment cause I was watching while doing the dishes, but I stopped just to support you after I saw the Strange Journey comments.
Trails 3rd and Eiyuden couldn't keep my attention either
Any love for FF8
sure don't!
I guess you know now😅
Hahaha I sure do!
8:50 I love you, even though you don't like Gundam
Thank you for accepting me for who I am.
I had no idea you had those issues with Chained Echoes, thats really unfortunate. I really hope they give you your money back or give you the actual game
I have the same problem with chained echoes. They've had the money so long and still no ship date.
Yuuuuup. Its ticking me off.
I don’t need anyone else to like a game for me to do so. However, if I hope for a sequel, I would prefer that it get a good reception sales wise
Yeah, it’s really hard to top Paper Mario😁
You get me
Agreed on Trails the 3rd, it just did not hit
OG FF7 is pretty damn good but perhaps slightly overrated. Am ready for square to acknowledge other gems in the series or create new ones. great vid as usual!
Have you tried looking at JRPG inspired TTRPGs like Fabula Ultima and Ryuutama? Not sure if TTRPGs are your vibe, but you seem like you'd be amazing as either a player or GM.
