The great thing about GM is the fact that his music spans the deeply emotional ballads to fast and funky dance beats.. no matter your emotion, there is a song to match. Freedom 90 and Fastlove would be great songs to do next!

Musical genius
I am a bit older - closer to George's age. His music has had me bawling more times that I can count through the years. There is NO other voice like his - ANYWHERE! Please listen to his Jesus to a Child. You can watch the official video, but the best video for this song is to Google Jesus to a Child George Michael Berlin MTV awards. That one will have you on the floor bawling. Also, he was in the Queen's Freddie Mercury Tribute and sang his song titled Find Me Somebody to Love. He NAILED IT! On the video of the rehearsal even Seal and David Bowie were in the background and were blown over with George's voice. The live performance was PHENOMENAL. Google some of his later songs as well. I cry every time I think of this man! HUGE loss of a wonderful man and a God sent voice. He was so generous and donated millions to charities anonymously. Beautiful soul. Can you imagine him singing in Heaven! Gives me chills.

I’m so excited that you have discovered the amazing incomparable George Michael. From the moment he stepped out on the scene with his band Wham! I knew he was special. Just the incredible fact that he wrote careless whisper at the age of 17 from beginning to end with all the arrangements and the production is just mind-boggling. And the icing on the cake is that he was stunning. If you’ve become a fan you really must check out some of his documentaries. Check out the documentary A Different Story to give you an insight on George’s life. And then discover all his music because you will not be disappointed.

This song always gives me goosebumps just like it did the first time I heard it! GM is one of the most soulful singers that ever sang a tune. This man was also one of the best lyricist to ever pen a song. George knew how to write the best hooks of all time! It certainly doesn't hurt that he is probably the most handsome man I ever layed my eyes on. His death just left an ache a void for the loss of what was still to come from his amazing talent and his beautiful self, inside and out! Awesome reaction and you definitely have been bitten by the GM bug but hey that is a blessing! Thx Sis!!
George was a super star like real big he was with wham a group with his high school friend he went solo and the rest is history he has done collaborations with Aretha Franklin Whitney Houston Mary J Blige Elton John & Queen he wrote and produced his songs and did some for others blue eyed soul RIP

i am a george michael fan for over 20 years and it's so heart warming to hear you say: "you can feel he is singing from his heart". thats why i am a george michael fan ... he sings from his heart in all his songs!!! also in his uptempo songs!
so i recommend of course my 4 favorite songs:
"too funky" or "freedom" (uptempo, makes you dance for sure ;-))
"spinning the wheel" a soft and slow song (from his "later" days) where his was (imo) already broken

This song always reminds me of Debi Thomas, who was an Olympic figure skater in 1988. She was the first African-American figure skater to reach the Olympic level, and she was a real contender for the gold medal. There was tremendous media focus on her, and unbelievable pressure. She ended up winning the bronze, and she appeared to be deeply disappointed. In the exhibition performances at the end of the games, she chose to skate to this song, and if I remember correctly I think her performance was totally extemporaneous -- just from the heart. It brought me to tears. I thought that her choice of a song entitled "One More Try" was telling, not to mention the overall tone of the song.

you should review some of these songs when he was older, he was so adaptable and could re-arrnage his music to meet the mood he wanted to portray.

I'm pretty sure the empty building he was in during Careless Whisper may have been to symbolize how the character he was portraying in that song was alone due to their cheating.
Then with One More Try he's in an abandoned house looking out the window, symbolizing he wants things to go back to how they were, and how he didn't want to move on from whoever had left him, instead wanting things to go back to how they were. A little redundant but I hope you get my little theory on your question.

Cowboys and Angels is phenomenal. What a beautiful piece of music. Combining a soft pop element with a bit of jazz and almost waltz like feeling at the end of the song. Just gorgeous song.

I think you should start at the beginning; when we first watched him burst onto the world stage!! That was a song by Wham called "Wake me up before you go go" Anyone serious about music could both see and hear that they had better pay attention to George
