Thank you thank you THANK YOU for sharing your progress. I really like the 2k clears that I have used. I will be trying the primers on my next bike. That blue is beautiful. You inspire. I am more of an engine guy, and this helps me tremendously
I'm about to start my 76 360T Honda restore. I had mentioned that I might rattle can the frame and all the non chrome parts with a hammer black gloss. Everyone said I was nuts and can't get it done where it will look worth a crap. I figure I'll need to have the tankd and side panels done professionally because the side panels (which are as hard to find as a unicorn) I had made by a laser printer. I got screwed twice buying orginals on line. The heat just makes the fin openings brittle as heck and if there not broke when you get them, they were glued. I'll start breaking her down and putting parts from different places in seperate plastic bins. Never tore one down before but have a new harness and some other things such as fork rings, oil and so on. Got to decide on the chrome that shows some bubbles in places. Don't think I can afford to re chrome. Please add web addresses product names and identifiers if you can. You did a great job on that frame and I can't wait to start mine. I noticed the front disk breakes have closed and I'm sure it's because of no fluid. I've got a lot of work ahead of me and I'm going to use every thing you have posted as my guiding star. Thank you for doing what you do.
They weren’t powder coated. I’d like to give the next a chance to do what they want. But yeah. $250 bucks for sandblast and powder is what I see. Saves a ton of time.
It's a lot of work. I would have out sourced the job to a powder coater,...in black,.....that's some tough shit. I know Honda painted the frames too. I just like to do it right. I am talking blind because I don't know epoxy paint,......and I have painted anything from industrial frames, electrical panels and cars and of course Motorcycles. And always the colors I chose,....yup what he did worked though.
Starting a 1977 yamaha dt100 2stroke i really want to hard tail it being its an induro going with the bobber style removing all the brackets wires lights and unneeded crap keeping the head light and a rear stop/ running light putting street tires on it might put the same size rims front and back lime a super moto ditching the oem bulky ugly seet fir a low profile cafe racer type seat going to have to cht the rear sub frame down and the. Rewekd it back on minus 3 or 4 inchs so its not sticking out past the rear of the seat it should be a fun build got to order a carb and reed cage it didnt have them when i bought it but that just means upgrades lol want to find a nice oem tank with some patina and clean it up then clear it popped the. Head off and cylinder walls look decent but i might just go a head and put a new oem piston in it or bore it over i like the fact it's a 2 stroke air cooled motor so there no bulky radiator and hoses running in to the block looks suoer simple to work on
Likely just gonna take me that long until I get back to reassembly. Lots to do. Plus I really want this all to cure up really well. So much left to do.
It's nice to hear the passion in your voice.
Thanks! I get a bit into the process. :) fun stuff.

Holy cow, that blue is gorgeous!
Thanks, Dave!
Well Done BB !!! That blue is crazy - GOOD !!!!! Mum would Love it. !!!!!
Glad to hear it.
Really nice paint job. Don't pay any mind to the self appointed experts. You do the best you can with what you have. And you did a fine job.
Thanks! It’s a gorgeous color. Appreciate it.
Nice work
Thanks, John. I think this is gonna come together nicely!
Really enjoying your videos. Just bought a couple of C95's to restore. Your videos will be a big help
That’s awesome, man! Glad you found the channel and good luck with your rebuilds!
I was unaware that Bumper from Pitch Perfect had a UA-cam channel on this subject.
lol. That’s a new one. I get Jack Black a lot.
Born and raised up there. Spent my whole life in Anoka County. Went to highschool with Van Mattson. Any relation?
Wow! Looks great! 👍🏻
Thanks, Mike!
Whooo color!
Right?!?! Eeeeek!
he sounds like jack black
People keep saying that!
Great job. I know what products I'll be using. What about the elephant in the room......THE TANK? Maybe you did it in a later video.
Yup! Talk a lot about the tank.

Links added! The blue PB5 was a special track down for the vintage paint code. The spray max 2k stuff is amazing. You can totally do a nice job.
Love the color but for the price of al that 2k you could of got it powder coated tbat wont scratch and chip as easy for probably 250

Do you have a link for the HUD16 Spray? Thanks for these videos. I bought the '67 yesterday.
I went with repaintsupply.com and used the PB5 Electric Blue.

Live simplicity. I think that’s why I love the old Hondas!
Looks Great. Did you sand the filler primer? I am assuming you used it to fill some imperfections?
Finishing pad mostly to even things out. Came out nice and smooth.
Why didnt you use vhs apoxy paint on this ?
Which primer did you like better I am debating doing this or powder coating my bmw r80's frame
The epoxy primer is a game changer.
Why won’t you touch them for a couple months?
Likely just gonna take me that long until I get back to reassembly. Lots to do. Plus I really want this all to cure up really well. So much left to do.
@@KeepOnWrenching lol fair enough! Thought I may have missed something there with the paint time! 😂
When did Jack Black start a painting channel? Awesome.
People keep saying that!
What about the tiny spots being blocked by the hooks you got the parts hanging on?
Move the hooks between coats
Colour name and number sir
It was PB5 code
