Atleast every month, I dive deeper into the origins and making of The Fall Of Troy, and I just wish Thomas could remake and release every single song he has every created, because he is my favorite artist by far. I've never like almost one hundred percent of a artists music, but I like every single TFoT track. Thomas' skill and passion is the reason I picked up guitar, and dive deeper into his paper trail.
TFoT is, in my opinion, so different that it's refreshing. I'm not huge into screaming in my music but man, Thomas's vocals just do something to me. Heavy on liking every track I've heard.
Carousel is such a special song to me. I listened to it a lot when I was suicidal in my teens. It would make me stop wanting to hurt myself, just a little bit. Just enough.
Oh boy do i remember playing these songs on my ipod back in the day sometime 2007/2008?? Alongside 30 years war. Those were the days. I had friends that introduced me to some of Equal vision records catalogue back in the day. Lots of great albums stood out. The fall of troy, Circa survive, Chiodos first album, Hot cross being introduced in 2007, Damiera, Bear vs shark, Coheed and Cambria, Cinematic sunrise, oh boy were those the days.
I always come back to these songs and still get eerily nostalgic. Demos and early tapes hit me hard like mars volta demos, Shabutie and early coheed, and those circa demos on their 10 year anniversary albums. Fuck man. I torrented tribune stuff almost 6 years ago.
So happy tfot is still kicking ass man. Especially happy since they re-recorded their old stuff for their new album, and it's fucking killer. Props to you OP, I've been revisiting your channel for so long now!
I know I'm going deep into the Fall of Troy fandom if I'm here. It's so easy to see how talented he was at what, 15? To a great extent, I feel like the exploding trend of neo-soul can be traced back here, mainly through TFOT's significant influence on the early part of Chon's career. Both bands had a shared use of frequent tempo changes and chord voicings (F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X and Bubble Dream, for example), which had a major influence on the Math-rock scene, including Polyphia, who is now one of the leaders of the neo-soul scene along with Ichika.
"Shared a use of chord voicings".. lol every rock band shares a use of chord voicings? What about those chord voicings? You're leaving information out.
Thomas has a very unique taste and ability to use his technical prowess to capture the likes of all of his influences. every song he’s ever written has hints of Sunny Day Real Estate melody, At The Drive In emotion, Botch energy, Weezer-like lyrics, etc. a truly amazing talent, it’s a shame he lives in an era where guitar based music is not as appreciated by the masses.
seems that you have been into an Erak hype lately, which is great hahaha. I didn't have some pictures in here! you should upload them all somewhere or something. I will always love this ep.
thekazuya005 I don't doubt it lol. I have also been into them since 2008, as my top favorite band ever. I would die for them pictures, though. You really should upload them!
thekazuya005 was it the smosh air guitar video? lol i remember that it was the first time i heard the band too. you should upload everything you have dude.
How the hell did you get all this stuff dude?! Seriously? Like the lively showbox and the encore too? And to get the tribune's audio too? This is just crazy man but you gotta tell me how you did it.

Oh man you just described my high school listening career
Why is it such an exclusive club that sees the pre fall of troy albums as the masterpieces they are?
Because we all tapped in long before The Fall Of Troy was on Fuse
ur channel is legendary, been coming back here for years

If anyone has a copy of this let me know, fam.
Windmills kind of sounds like Spartacus
Do you have any more tribune and thirty years war stuff you could post? It would be awesome if you had some other, lesser known tracks from the bands.

thekazuya005 One of the many, many reasons I'm subscribed to you
Where was this found?
Also, how the hell is Kite also on Just Like Vinyl's album? Somehow Thomas recreated it??
Milkaroni Omg spammer XD Thomas just thought it was good enough to be on the JLV record. And it damn was.. I love Kite
is there any way to download this without having to rip from youtube??
A year later but there is a bandcamp called tribune2002 that has this (except de kite long demo) and the 30 years war demo able to download

I’ve been looking for 2 days. I’ll give you a link if I find one
Anyone know the tuning?
It's between standard and half step down, his guitar was technically speaking, out of tune.
Thank you. The riff in ever true was making me think there's something wrong with my guitar
