Aaron Ehasz and that writing staff put the heart and soul into Avatar. If you look at the majority of fans favorite episodes and characters, Aaron and Elizabeth Ehasz had a major role in that. It was brilliantly written. It's what separates it from everything else.

Seriously! that line and her recent events at The Rock really says a lot about the writing of the show! Even side characters had full story arcs. It's insane, Mai is best girl.
I love how the last words of this series comes from Toph saying, “I think you all look perfect.” One of the best shows ever. We need a well written Iroh spinoff.
The Dragon of the West. It would start the day that his son died and show us how he entered the spirit world, found the Sun tribe, and joined the order of the white lotus, eventually ending when he returns home to protect Zuko from making his mistakes.
Robert Jones, Yes! It could also have flashbacks to when he attempted to attack Ba Sing Se and the regrets he had getting involved with the Fire Nation’s violence. It would also be interesting to see his reaction to Ursa’s banishment. Iroh already has such an interesting confirmed life story!
@@robertjones5441 it should be before his son dies so we can see that relationship and how Iroh acted before the death of his son. It would be very emotional and give Iroh even more depth. We should also see Iroh with Ozai when they were younger
“Leaves from the vines. Falling so slow, like little tiny shells, drifting in the foam. Little soldier boy, come marching home. Brave soldier boy. Comes matching home”.
This is just my opinion but I feel like a shows length has alot to do with how good the show is and many animes are longer then avatar. Dont get me wrong avatar has perfect length for the story and im not saying just cuz its longer its better but things like dbz and naruto have just too much story too be ranked below avatar
InFaMouSGoDKinG Dragon ball Z is the most overrated anime of all time the power creep in that show is insane. Avatar beautifully executed how much power creep there is and the story never felt repetitive or stale. Dragon ball zs story always felt repetitive and stale but dragon ball the first one never did and i would say is a better anime then Z. Naruto on the other hand was a great show but got stale toward the end for obvious reasons such as how many episodes their were if we are including shippuden. I would personally put Naruto above Avatar and Dragon Ball below
It literally talks about genocide, mental illness, animal abuse, dictatorship, propaganda, poverty, abusive parenting, etc. But it puts it in a way that kids can understand and it will entertain adults
GrandFighterX because it was technically filler, and because of that reruns could be played constantly because it wasn’t spoiling the actual plot, so we had to watch that shit a hell of a lot
Blue91 Anims, that was definitely a great episode. I don’t think it’s top 10 material but it really added a lot to Sokka. He’s kind of like the Ron of the Avatar Team.
That episode is my favorite, but for a different reason, when I was watching it, I was kinda fucked up mentally, I basically thought of myself as a failure and I ended up really empathizing with sokka
Agreed. I was a bit late to the avatar party. But Boiling Rock was the first episode I saw. After that I instantly caught up every episode before the finale.
This show could make you Cry. #1: Aang finds Monk Gyatso dead. #2: ^ Aang is in his avatar state because of the death of Monk Gyatso and Katara and Sokka call him family. #3: ^^ Aang, Sokka, Katara, Appa and Momo leave the Southern Air Temple as Aang watches his home fade in the clouds realizing he is the last air bender. #4: Yue gives her life and becomes the moon goddess and says goodbye to Sokka and kisses him goodbye. #5: Toph has to make a decision to either save the group or to save Appa from the Sand Benders leading to Toph blaming herself. #6: ^ Aang cries after loosing Appa. #7: ^^ Aang blames Toph, Katara and Sokka for not liking Appa and seeing him as a tool of transportation rather than a friend. #8: ^^^ Aang is about to go ham on Sand Benders in his Avatar State but Katara grabs Aang and hugs him showing love and compassion. #9: ^^^^ Momo tries to find Appa. #10: ^^^^^ Zuko finds Appa and Iroh tells Zuko that he must make his own destiny and that he would have died in the North Pole if not for Team Avatar leading to Zuko freeing Appa. #11: ^^^^^^ Appa tries to find his friends and is hurt everywhere he goes. #12: ^^^^^^^ Appa returns and Aang cries while hugging Appa. #13: Ozai punishes Zuko and gives him his scar and banishment. #14: Zuko becomes good again and finds Iroh in a tent and Zuko asks Iroh for forgiveness and cries and Iroh grabs Zuko and hugs him. #15: Katara spares the man Yon Rha who killed her mother. #16: Katara is forced to Blood Bend to stop Hama. #17: Azula is defeated and goes insane. #18: In Serpents pass the couple give birth to a Baby naming the baby Hope and making Aang smile. #19: Sokka's father Bato leaves for war and Bato tells Sokka that he must stay and protect his Tribe and his sister Katara leading to Sokka hugging his father goodbye while crying. #20: Uncle Iroh sings leaves from the vine. #21: Zuko renounces his title as Prince and faces his father one last time and defeats his father. #22: The Avatar's Love theme. #23: Aang gives up his Avatar State to be with his true love Katara. #24: Aang kisses Katara for the first time. #25: Toph and Sokka talk about Katara and how Sokka sees Katara as a mom to him and Katara hears everything while taking a bath below and is sad. #26: While everyone else is having fun with Sokka's painting we see Aang and Katara's final Kiss at the end. There are lots more scenes that can bring tears to your eyes. These are just the ones i remembered the most.
Honorable Mentions: Jet's death. Zuko accidentally burning Toph and being berated for it. Toph not thinking she was pretty. Tai Lee being bullied into joining Azula. The killing of the Moon Spirit, leading to Yue's death. The swamp, where Sokka hallucinates seeing Yue.
One for me was when Azula and Katara both broke down after seeing their mothers. Katara in the swamp so hopeful, and then Azula crying for the first time bcuz her mother said I love you. Even though these were more hallucinations they still brought tears to my eyes
TheBmans bunker least she didn't run away and avoid her responsibilities like a little baby. I love Aang but when people point out Korra's flaws I just have to point out Aang's.
Warrior Lovato Aang was 11 at the time, still far below the usual age of when it as revealed when one is the avatar. In no shape or form was he ready to hear that, and being thrust into it with impending war didn't help.
Own both on blu Ray! I have ALOT of problems with the legend of Korra but there is a lot to like. Aang and Toph’s kids in TLOK were great, everyone else was annoying and unnecessary. I mean remember the “love triangle”.
Agreed. His tale was beautiful in so many ways, and particularly funny when he was giving his so-called mugger lessons. But also celebrating his deceased sons birthday, I cried.
Very few 'bad' episodes. I can imagine this must have been one of the hardest lists to make. Avatar: The Last Airbender is arguably the best cartoon, ever.
Richard Herbert I’ve been rewatching the series after buying the blu ray collection and every time I watch the next episode I have a new favorite. Every episode is filled with meaning and there are really no “filler” episodes. The closest one I can think of is the Tales of Ba Sing Se, but even that episode focuses on more development of the characters and their thoughts, lives, etc.
School Principal: Thank you for coming Mr and Mrs? Sokka: The name's Fire, Waaaang Fire....and this is my wife, Sapphire Katara: Sapphire Fire....nice to meet you! 😂😂😂🔥 Episode: The Headband
Oh she is called Sapphire in English? :D In german it's super funny too, here Katara is called "Lager Feuer" which translates into "Campfire" xD Then she replies with "native-born 'Tinder', nice to meet you!"
Don't you worry Headmaster, I'll straighten this boy out something fierce. YOUNG MAN AS SOON AS WE GET HOME, YOU'RE GETTING THE PUNISHMENT OF A LIFETIME!
@@maycake4504 I've watched the entire series perhaps 10x in it's entirety. How can I forget. That episode is gut wrenching. I feel like Momo's was even more emotional since he was usually comic relief.
I was literally about to ask this. Totally my favorite episode. It shows the normally calm and collected Katara bitter and shockingly violent and dark. It also ends Katara's bitterness towards Zuko. Amazing episode
1. Sozin’s Comet 2. The Storm 3. Zuko Alone 4. The Crossroads of Destiny 5. The Tales of Ba Sing Se 6. The Western Air Temple 7. The Southern Raiders 8. The Blind Bandit 9. The Day of Black Sun 10. The Avatar and the Firelord
I was thinking about the beach. It definitely should be on the list at least as an honorable mention! I think Zuko's best scene is in that episode. That breakdown at the fire camp
It's an animated show that certainly gave me a sense of spirituality alongside TLOK and taught many many life lessons. More western animated shows need to be like ATLA and TLOK: shows that aren't afraid to experiment and show dark themes and act mature. Both shows also didn't talk down to its audience but rather, they set the tone and leave the audience to interpret it.
Here's my list: 1. Sozin's Comet 2. The Crossroads of Destiny 3. The Day Of Black Sun 4. Zuko Alone 5. The Guru/The Desert 6. The Firebending Masters 7. The Avatar and The Firelord 8. The Southern Raiders 9. The Storm 10. The Chase Some honorable mentions (not really in order) would go to: The Siege of The North Lake Laogai The Awakening The Western Air Temple The Blue Spirit The Drill The Boiling Rock The Tales of Ba Sing Sae The Blind Bandit The Winter Solstice Part 2: Avatar Roku The Ember Island Players The Puppetmaster Appa's Lost Days Sokka's Master The Southern Air Temple The Avatar State Ok so those were a lot of honorable mentions, but fuck me man, there's so many good episodes to choose from.
While I do lo love that fight, the episode it's self, while still being amazing, did not make the list unfortunately. Like I said, there's so many god damn good episodes, some had to be left out. This is just my opinion.
i know what yuh mean...but The Deserter should have been in both lists...because of that episode he refused to Firebend ever again...good list though...damn good show
I didn't care for that episode much. I thought The Awakening, Jet, Lake Laogai, Southern Raiders, City of Walls and Secrets, Day of Black Sun, Southern Air Temple, and the Avatar State should've been in there.
@@katelyn9671 Sokka' Master is not among the top episodes, but it is still very good and entertaining on its own. Sokka has always had problems with confidence, he wants to be a great warrior to make his father proud, and this episode is an important part of his arc throughout the series in overcoming his lack of confidence, an arc that wonderfully continues in The Day Of The Black Sun and The Boiling Rock. In Sozin's Comet, his doubts are now gone and he is mature leader
@Matheus Bezena de Lima I get your point, but I honestly didn’t get the point of that episode at all. Honestly, since pretty much all ATLA episodes are outstanding (except great divide), I feel like sokka’s master is among the top 10 worst. I’m not saying it’s bad or anything, just a little pointless. In that episode, Sokka was saying how he’s not as capable as everyone else because he’s a nonbender. It’s safe to say that NO ONE ever thought sokka that way or that he wasn’t as good of a character before the episode aired. We all knew that sokka was an important character to the show and that he was capable. Sokka never had to prove himself because we all liked him like how he was. Having an episode that supposed to “prove” sokkas capability and talent is honestly not needed.
@@katelyn9671 Sokka had proved to us, but self-steem is another thing. And while it is not a Top episode, it definitely is not among top 10 worst. I would say that it sits around the middle.
book one: Jet/ The siege of the North part 1 book two: Tales of Ba sing se/ Appas lost days book three: The puppetmaster/ The southern raiders (book three was actually my favorite book of all)
Good list but Southern Raiders and The Puppetmaster should have been included. As a Katara fan I also would add The Painted Lady. I think these 3 are crucial for her character. Also The Beach was brilliant, an episode only focussing on the “villains” and their development, was a great idea.
People are forgetting the number 10 can't include 61 episodes. Everyone wants different episodes on there, Boiling Rock 1/2 are missing, people don't seem to understand everything about AVatar was so great it's hard to get the best 10 because literally 50 out of the 61 are equally great...
***The Boulder watches*** "The Boulder takes issue with this list. The Boulder is conflicted, because his episode is only an honorable mention..." ***The Boulder finds out list was by WatchMojo*** "The Boulder is now over his conflicted feelings, and he's ready to bury WatchMojo, in a Rock-alanche!" hahahahaha
rachel evans I agree, that Avatar’s finale is amazing, but imho Code Geass has a better and more dramatic finale even though the whole show is not as good as Avatar)
This “top ten list” was created by watchmojo. I think there should be things on the list and think that some should be removed. Like I think blond bandit should’ve been top in it and not just an honorable mention.
So many good ones- I absolutely loved “The Boiling Rock” because I love a good jail break and the episode involves very little bending. With only Sokka and Zuko (using very little bending to not blow his cover), they actually have to rely on a clever plan rather than using the abilities of Aang, Katara, and Toph. The bending stuff in fights is awesome but this was a nice contrast.

Me thinking of episodes that could've made Top 10, basically all of Season 3 was amazing honestly. The episodes with Zuko field missions are so much fun. And The Puppetmaster with bloodbending finally happening. And then like all of season 1/2 except maybe 1 episode (The Great Divide). But basically every episode is ''gasp that was a good episode''. Seriously some great episodes would be in the top 10 worst... Despite being great, it's just everything is so great. Damn I love Avatar!
Southern Raiders, The Puppetmaster needed to at minimum, get an honorable mention. I still watch this show a decade later as if it's brand new. It was like Sozins comet streaking across the sky and then disappearing. A true gem. I am hoping that the Dragon Prince recaptures the magic of storytelling and character development that this show has and not another forsaken hack fanfic.
Thing is, every episode needed a honorable mention lol. I mean, those 2 are great, but what about The Boiling Rock 1/2? Or The southern Air temple with Aang finding Gyatzo and Zuko fighting Zhao. Seriously all episodes are so great you can't blame them for not giving some great ones a honorable mention. Because aside from The Great Divide and the Haru episode, everything is pretty great.
Sokka's definitely my favorite comic relief character right after Beast Boy from Teen Titans. Zuko's my favorite character of the whole series. Aang & Katara is my favorite couple in the whole animation.
A few that shouldv'e been on the list: Southern Raiders The Puppet Master Ember Island Boiling Rock In my opinion these were some of the best episodes in the series.
Boiling Rock was just okay in my opinion. It didn't need to be a two part episode. Also, where was Lake Laogai or City of Walls and Secrets??? The plots for those episodes were just so deep. The Awakening is my personal favorite (watched it over 10 times) and I love it bc it shows how miserable Zuko is even after he got EVERYTHING HE EVER WANTED, why Azula let Zuko get all the credit for killing the Avatar, Aang's reaction to failing the Earth Kindom, and Katara forgiving her dad for being away for too long. That's a lot happening in a kids show. In my opinion that should've been in the top 10.
This show has so many great episodes and all on this list were great but Southern Raiders, Day of Black Sun, and Puppet Master probably should have been included.
Day of Black Sun for suuuuure. A very important episode in the series, and I don’t see it get enough attention. Also, I was hoping to see Boiling Rock part 2 on here, but oh well.
Is it me or has Avatar the last airbender content been popping up all over youtube recently??? *And NO I haven't been looking up avatar related content*
Reaction channels starting with Blind Wave gave the show much needed life on UA-cam. The Normies picked it up afterwards and so many smaller channels have done it/are doing it now. It's a hidden gem that people are now realizing they never saw.
Kevin Durst he did die it was Katara’s spirit water in which brought him back to life Remember when the show said the avatar cycle would be broken if he died in avatar state
Uhhhh.... The bolt that struck Aang in his back freaking KILLED him. It’s because of Katara bringing Aang back from the dead with the spirit water that the series made it to the third season.
Sachman Gill If you have a gaming console and the Blue ray dvds, trust me, if you have younger siblings, children, nieces or nephews, put it on and the cycle continues.
netfllix has all 3 seasons and I fully plot to indoctrinate my friend's newborn as soon as they leave them at my place for baby sitting. not to mention my future kids who are going to watch this from day 1.
Completely agree. What an incredible episode, it had everything: depth, redemption and forgiveness... to a degree. It's so emotionally complex that it makes the episodes from Book 1 seem simple, even though they were not.
No, over used memes is correct. You don't die when your heart stops pumping. That's too trivial and would cause a lot of wrongful deaths cases. That's just cardiac arrest. Brain death (or the likely inevitable outcome of brain death) is the clinical standard. The brain is the most important organ, not the heart. When that goes and gets hurt or consciousness becomes otherwise irrecoverable, that's when the doctor calls it. No one would call it for Aang that early even though he did have some serious burns on his thorax. Still, permanent, irreversible tissue damage to his internal organs wouldn't have set in for another 20 minutes (6 minutes for the brain) from the subsequent hypoxia and lack of perfusion caused by his apparent heart failure. Aang didn't "die." At worst, he was in a trauma-induced coma and his body had no way to recover. So he would eventually die from the lack of metabolism and oxygen, but Katara saved him. A modern doctor would have tried resuscitation for a few minutes, and then call it. If we used cardioversion and he was flatlined, we'd call it right there since cardioversion (a plugged in defibrillator) doesn't do anything for dead tissue (what a flatline tells you), despite what you might see in the movies.
Shelby Dickson that moment with aang dropping into the pond and merging with the ocean spirit is so amazing. I think I like siege of the north better lol
I do think seige of the north is the best of season one and im glad that its on the list but i just like crossroads of destiny better because it had an empire strikes back feel to it i just wish they put southern raiders and puppetmaster on their list
Same here, i really liked the great divide, especially when it's revealed that Aang was lying about the story lol. I think ppl just hate on the great divide cos its easy to fall victim to the bandwagon or mob mentality. The worst episode for me is either the Jet episode when he's first introduced, or Zuko alone because it was such a downer episode, even though there was gud flashbacks that i really enjoyed.
I want one with ATLA, in the style of Shrek Super Slam, remember that? Short story, a Mega Challenge and a "lobby" for fighting like KOTH, that SSS had...
My favorites: Sozin's Comet Tales of Ba Sing Se Zuko Alone The Beach The Storm Ember Island Players The Crossroads of Destiny The Library Appa's Lost Days The Seige of the North The Avatar and the Firelord The Southern Raiders The Boiling Rock The Desert The Blue Spirit The Deserter The Firebending Masters The Puppetmaster The Day of Black Sun The Guru Yeah there's a lot but it's not *my* fault the writers are so good

MY GOD THIS SHOW IS THEEEEE BEST! I seriously love avatar the last Airbender so much but I believe that the episode where Zuko, Azula, Mei, And Ty lee traveled to Ember island should have been on there because in that episode you realize that they weren’t just the bad guys but they were teens with actual problems and you got to see more of who they truly were. And the Prison episode is very important as well. Let’s not forget season one where the main characters were introduced to jet, that was a major life lesson. I loved Sokkas quote in that episode. Jet: Sokka you traitor! Sokka: no Jet, you became the traitor when you stopped protecting innocent people. 💙💙💙💙💙💙
"The beach" is one of my favorite episodes. It's the only episode that portrayed azula as a human being with problems of her own. That episode make me like that group as a whole. Even if the only reason they were friends with Azula was because of her power.
A lot of episodes should've been on this list, but the number 10 is only so big and honorable mentions can't include every episode, there's just too many great Avatar episodes. I also love this fkn show I've re-watched it at least 10 times because it's just so amazing. Also watched a ton of videos about it.
I just finished rewatching it at 24. I couldn’t remember most of it since I was 13 the last time I saw it and man I can’t believe this was a children’s show, so damn good. It felt like watching it for the first time
It’s so satisfying that the best episode of a show is its last one! That’s how every show should be! And by the way, I think The Painted Lady episode, the one Katara goes to revenge her mom’s death and the bloodbending one are REALLY amazing too!
Best animated show Nickelodeon ever made. One of the best of all time.

Appa's lost days is one of the saddest episode in Avatar
And that’s facts
Yeah that and when Iroh was in prison
The leaves on the vine was so sad
Yea and take of Iroh
And the moment when appa is reunited with aang😭😭
*"You miscalculated. I love Zuko more than I fear you."* One of my favorite lines of the show. Mai wasn't playing, she was so ready to fight too.
denz310 yes!
denz310 That line is literally more romantic and epic than 70% of all romantic action movies
Seriously! that line and her recent events at The Rock really says a lot about the writing of the show! Even side characters had full story arcs. It's insane, Mai is best girl.
Peter whoa, whoa,whoa... I wouldn't go that far. Ty Lee is best girl. #TeamTyLee
Zuko - "You're so beautiful when you hate the world."
Mai - "I don't hate you."
Zuko - "I don't hate you too."
Real love.
I'm surprised it took so long to make a list like this! ATLA is one of the best shows of all time!!!
pianistofthemosthigh it is the best show of all time
*best of all time
Well the first season is kinda weak so it's pretty hard to put that title on a show.
Lanmater bullshit it was not weak. Every season was great. ATLA is definitely one of the best shows of all time.
HaloNinja117 Amen
I love how the last words of this series comes from Toph saying, “I think you all look perfect.” One of the best shows ever. We need a well written Iroh spinoff.
Lol I didn’t even notice that!! I really need to rewatch this show.
The Dragon of the West. It would start the day that his son died and show us how he entered the spirit world, found the Sun tribe, and joined the order of the white lotus, eventually ending when he returns home to protect Zuko from making his mistakes.
Robert Jones,
Yes!
Pedro Oliveira Without Mako acting him though, it wouldn't be the same, R.i.P Mako :(
“Leaves from the vines. Falling so slow, like little tiny shells, drifting in the foam. Little soldier boy, come marching home. Brave soldier boy. Comes matching home”.
the feels T.T
I love iroh man 😭
Y U DO DIS 2 ME?!😭
Lyrics are wrong but its still sad

Avatar the last Airbender is the best animated show of all time 😍
Great show but lets just say best animated NICK show
so true
InFaMouSGoDKinG better than almost every anime except for maybe hunter hunter and one peice those are works of art
It's annoying that people call it a kids show when the themes and conflicts are teen/young adult. The show spans across all ages.
It literally talks about genocide, mental illness, animal abuse, dictatorship, propaganda, poverty, abusive parenting, etc. But it puts it in a way that kids can understand and it will entertain adults
its a kids show, an adults show, an everyones show
The funniest part is that most of the heroes in the show are teenagers

Lol why does every hate the great divide. It was ok to me
GrandFighterX because it was technically filler, and because of that reruns could be played constantly because it wasn’t spoiling the actual plot, so we had to watch that shit a hell of a lot
😂😂
My favourite avatar episode is “Sokka’s Master”
Cause it shows how much the group really needs Sokka wether he’s able to bend or not.
My top five
Don’t forget that’s the episode that Toph made the Nickelodeon logo
Cross roads of destiny is my favorite
I'm sorry but the Boiling Rock Part 1 & 2 have to be top 10. Very entertaining, those two episodes are like a movie in itself.
Yes. I thought so too😭😭
Agreed. I was a bit late to the avatar party. But Boiling Rock was the first episode I saw. After that I instantly caught up every episode before the finale.
Boiling Rock part 2 was something else. That should've been in top 3 in my opinion
Boiling Rock was amazing and was a critical point for Azula too.
The Boiling Rock was my favorite, too, if only because it focused on Sokka and Zuko, my two favorite characters.
I'd like to spend my mini-vacation : *AT THE LIBRARY!!!!*
Dorukan Kalem that owl thing was so creepy

This show could make you Cry.

#26: While everyone else is having fun with Sokka's painting we see Aang and Katara's final Kiss at the end.
There are lots more scenes that can bring tears to your eyes. These are just the ones i remembered the most.
PromiserOfDeath2 Bato is not Sokka 's father tho, it's Hakkoda
Honorable Mentions: Jet's death.
Zuko accidentally burning Toph and being berated for it.
Toph not thinking she was pretty.
Tai Lee being bullied into joining Azula.
The killing of the Moon Spirit, leading to Yue's death.
The swamp, where Sokka hallucinates seeing Yue.
Another one: Zuko constantly beating himself up for not capturing the avatar all for his father's acceptance.
One for me was when Azula and Katara both broke down after seeing their mothers. Katara in the swamp so hopeful, and then Azula crying for the first time bcuz her mother said I love you. Even though these were more hallucinations they still brought tears to my eyes
St the very end, when Zuko finally asks for forgiveness to Uncle Iroh, the way he hugs him and let’s him sleep, makes me cry every time!
One of my top episodes should be when Katara faces the man who killed her mother.
Southern Raiders*
If you ask me, that's the best episode of the series.
That was a truly powerful and emotional scene, Katara really shows her character’a progress in that one
NightScythe1987 totally agree with you
That old man almost shit himself when he realized who she was
Ive watched countless anime and movies but i still dont think any character has developed any better than zuko

Korra: I'm the best Avatar deal with it!!!!!!!
Aang: *Hold my Appa*

Warrior Lovato ua-cam.com/video/bmKaQqinWKY/v-deo.html

Warrior Lovato Aang was 11 at the time, still far below the usual age of when it as revealed when one is the avatar. In no shape or form was he ready to hear that, and being thrust into it with impending war didn't help.
Warrior Lovato
he was a child told about how he'd have to live his life alone how'd you expect him to react
This is arguably the greatest serialized cartoon ever created. I try to rewatch it (and Legend of Korra) on DVD at least once a year.
SlyForeigner legend of korra is SHIT
I dont try, I do it. Been doing it since 2013 if I recall correctly, and it never gets old.
fx Gamer
"SlyForeigner legend of korra is THE SHIT"
Fixed your comment, friend.
Once a year,i could watch every single day if i could
Own both on blu Ray! I have ALOT of problems with the legend of Korra but there is a lot to like. Aang and Toph’s kids in TLOK were great, everyone else was annoying and unnecessary. I mean remember the “love triangle”.
Avatar The Last Airbender is still the greatest show on Nickelodeon.
not just on nickelodeon, its the best ever
Briandu05...Best Nick show is Spongebob, Best Cartoon show of all time is Samurai Jack imo..
Y'all wrong its in top 5
VB MUTT Spongebob is better at comedy, at least for seasons 1-3. Avatar is better at story
Considering the other great shows Nick has made that is quite the accomplishment!
THE LIBRARY
Hello i actually have no idea who you are and why you have so many subs but come on only 11 likes?
Omg that episode is scary as
The Tales If Ba Sing Se is a great episode. The end of Iroh’s story is so sad though. Can’t watch without shedding a tear.
Lol me too
same
Oh my god, I loved Iroh! He's probably my favorite character of the series...
A fitting tribute to Mako!
Series I guess
ahem. IS the best SHOW ever. hehe xD
Anime
@@MetaAlmighty there are like 3 filler episodes in season 1, one of them was that bullshit episode about the great divide
10? The whole show’s amazing
Shonksu That's the ONLY episode that's the absolute worst.
Shonksu We all collectively decided to ignore that episode.
Delyc Heruta top 61 would be accurate
Delyc Heruta Yes. Surprisingly enough, a limit of 10 is possible.
I would argue that Bato of the Water Tribe was a terrible episode as well. Having only 2 out of 61 episodes that are bad? Still an impressive feat
When Iroh started singing the song to the son at his little shrine, I started balling, his voice actor was amazing at conveying emotion.
I've heard that he learnd news about his potential death due to cancer so he was "actually" emotional in that scene I think

Sokka: The name's Fire, Waaaang Fire....and this is my wife, Sapphire
Katara: Sapphire Fire....nice to meet you!

Appa's lost days, more like a whole episode of tearing my heart out.
Vicki Enna same😭 remember that moment Momo was also looking for appa too
@@maycake4504 I've watched the entire series perhaps 10x in it's entirety. How can I forget. That episode is gut wrenching. I feel like Momo's was even more emotional since he was usually comic relief.

Appa was that big awesome teddy bear!!! ( I know he wasn’t an teddy bear he was so cute and sweet like one)
Who else cried when appa was kidnapped and was alone, struggling to live on his own ??
That moment when aang is reunited with appa always gets me😭😭
Tales of ba song se and appas lost days are the saddest episodes
Still the best animated show of the century so far
Ben Wasserman yup they should make a reboot and put it on Netflix
Correction, second best *Shows a picture of CODE LYOKO*
I disagree, Suite Life of Zack and Cody was a far better anime!
Remember no running in my lobby, thank
Ya Dad I think producers are afraid to make a reboot because of how terrible the movie was.
No Southern Raiders!? WHAT!? It's literally the climax to Katara's character arc!
Zivalene I agree.
Or what about the Puppetmaster?
I was JUST about to say that! ♥♥
LizziMarie it was a great episode but not really
I was literally about to ask this. Totally my favorite episode. It shows the normally calm and collected Katara bitter and shockingly violent and dark. It also ends Katara's bitterness towards Zuko. Amazing episode
If you don’t cry during “Leaves from the Vine,” you have no soul.
ztslovebird I agree. That shit makes me feel like I'm cutting onions every time I see it

I love your list but I also think the Library is one of the best episodes too
My fave was the beach because it focused on the bad guys
I was thinking about the beach. It definitely should be on the list at least as an honorable mention! I think Zuko's best scene is in that episode. That breakdown at the fire camp
Roberto yes the fire scene was very good
Team Azula is my fave, they're just so sassy and relatable after watching that
Yeah, the beach was among the best ones.
It’s my favorite and I think it’s better than Sozan’s comet
Man it's hard to choose just Ten. This is one of the most complete shows ever. My favorite cartoon of all time.
It's more than just a cartoon
It's an animated show that certainly gave me a sense of spirituality alongside TLOK and taught many many life lessons.
More western animated shows need to be like ATLA and TLOK: shows that aren't afraid to experiment and show dark themes and act mature. Both shows also didn't talk down to its audience but rather, they set the tone and leave the audience to interpret it.
Here's my list:
1. Sozin's Comet
2. The Crossroads of Destiny
3. The Day Of Black Sun
4. Zuko Alone
5. The Guru/The Desert
6. The Firebending Masters
7. The Avatar and The Firelord
8. The Southern Raiders
9. The Storm
10. The Chase
Some honorable mentions (not really in order) would go to:
The Siege of The North
Lake Laogai
The Awakening
The Western Air Temple
The Blue Spirit
The Drill
The Boiling Rock
The Tales of Ba Sing Sae
The Blind Bandit
The Winter Solstice Part 2: Avatar Roku
The Ember Island Players
The Puppetmaster
Appa's Lost Days
Sokka's Master
The Southern Air Temple
The Avatar State
Ok so those were a lot of honorable mentions, but fuck me man, there's so many good episodes to choose from.
From a certain point of view.
Where is the earth king. The way that episode starts off is one of the best fights of the series.
While I do lo love that fight, the episode it's self, while still being amazing, did not make the list unfortunately. Like I said, there's so many god damn good episodes, some had to be left out. This is just my opinion.
i know what yuh mean...but The Deserter should have been in both lists...because of that episode he refused to Firebend ever again...good list though...damn good show
Sothern raiders was a good ass episode
*cough, cough* THE PUPPETMASTER. *COUGH COUGH* EVERY EPISODE IN SEASON 3. AND MOST OF SEASON 2.
When zuko joins the team it's just mmmh we need more zuko team avatar
Eh the first half of season 3 wasn’t great tbh
blue spirit I thought episodes like the painted lady and nightmares and daydreams were worse than anything season 2 had to offer
season two was the best. zuko alone and the chase are my favorite episodes

Season 3

Spyros Kyriakoudis hes from Dragon BALL Z. The guy with the armor on & spiky hair.
Sokka get's snubbed again... "Sokka's Master" doesn't even get an honorable mention?
I didn't care for that episode much. I thought The Awakening, Jet, Lake Laogai, Southern Raiders, City of Walls and Secrets, Day of Black Sun, Southern Air Temple, and the Avatar State should've been in there.
Yeaa that’s definitely one of my favourite ones tbh
My favourites episodes:
Book One: Blue Spirit
Book Two: Zuko Alone
Book Three: The Beach
Ashlyn Wolff I liked the painted lady as well
Book One: Winter solstice part 2
Book Two: The Chase
Book Three Avatar and the Firelord
book one: Jet/ The siege of the North part 1
book two: Tales of Ba sing se/ Appas lost days
book three: The puppetmaster/ The southern raiders
(book three was actually my favorite book of all)
Here’s mine:
Book One: The Storm
Book Two: The Crossroads Of Destiny
Book Three: Sozin’s Comet
Sad Frog My favorite book was Book Two
Good list but Southern Raiders and The Puppetmaster should have been included. As a Katara fan I also would add The Painted Lady. I think these 3 are crucial for her character.
Also The Beach was brilliant, an episode only focussing on the “villains” and their development, was a great idea.
These three are literally my favorite lol along with the Sozen's Comet episodes
People are forgetting the number 10 can't include 61 episodes. Everyone wants different episodes on there, Boiling Rock 1/2 are missing, people don't seem to understand everything about AVatar was so great it's hard to get the best 10 because literally 50 out of the 61 are equally great...
TOTALLY AGREE
What about Sparky-sparky-boom Man?
Pear what 10 are bad?
How are The Southern Raiders, The Puppet Master, and The Day of Black Sun not even honorable mentions?! They should all be high on the list!
Puppet Master and Southern Raiders were great because it showed a darker side of Katara
@@vickienna_games Exactly. Katara is QUEEN
Day of Black Sun DID THAT THING! It was epic.

The Southern Raiders is one of my favorites!!
It’s almost as if you could replace the Ember Island Play with The Last Airbender Movie, and get the same reactions from the characters.
Except the Ember Island Players were actually okay. And hey, at least the effects were decent.
The Begley Show

absolutely top 3
This “top ten list” was created by watchmojo. I think there should be things on the list and think that some should be removed. Like I think blond bandit should’ve been top in it and not just an honorable mention.
So many good ones- I absolutely loved “The Boiling Rock” because I love a good jail break and the episode involves very little bending. With only Sokka and Zuko (using very little bending to not blow his cover), they actually have to rely on a clever plan rather than using the abilities of Aang, Katara, and Toph. The bending stuff in fights is awesome but this was a nice contrast.
Improvisation right there.

I literally said the same thing lol
Still one of the best show ever. And better then most animes lol.

Boiling Rock
In my opinion these were some of the best episodes in the series.
Ember Island Players was on the list, it was Number 10.
I think that he referred to episode 45 and not 57.
@@ebrahiem7118 literally lmao
@@katelyn9671 my favorite was puppet master the last scene gave me chills
This show has so many great episodes and all on this list were great but Southern Raiders, Day of Black Sun, and Puppet Master probably should have been included.
Mello Wyatt Agreed!!!!
Day of Black Sun for suuuuure. A very important episode in the series, and I don’t see it get enough attention. Also, I was hoping to see Boiling Rock part 2 on here, but oh well.
The Puppet Master was so scary when I was younger
As well as the Painted Lady!

He just said it all over again 😹

Why did I have a mini heart attack pressing this
Tal3n cuz it was the greatest part of all of our childhoods.
Tal3n because you felt the legend pumping blood in your veins
I felt like I entered the Avatar State when I discovered this video!
because you were scared to see how watchmojo would rank our childhoods incorrectly
Patrick Zalatoris childhood? I was 35 when it first aired.

it taught me how to waterbend

Is it me or has Avatar the last airbender content been popping up all over youtube recently??? *And NO I haven't been looking up avatar related content*
warren daniel just you?
beletu lemma Probably lol idk why
It no just you and maybe because this year was the ten year anniversary since the show ended
Reaction channels starting with Blind Wave gave the show much needed life on UA-cam. The Normies picked it up afterwards and so many smaller channels have done it/are doing it now.
It's a hidden gem that people are now realizing they never saw.
No for me aswel
"Aang suffered an almost fatal wound"
Um, he was straight up dying-
Kevin Durst he did die it was Katara’s spirit water in which brought him back to life
Remember when the show said the avatar cycle would be broken if he died in avatar state
LOL he died but Katara used the spirit water from the North Pole to bring him back
Uhhhh.... The bolt that struck Aang in his back freaking KILLED him. It’s because of Katara bringing Aang back from the dead with the spirit water that the series made it to the third season.
Kids these days wont understand why avatar aang was the goat.
Sachman Gill If you have a gaming console and the Blue ray dvds, trust me, if you have younger siblings, children, nieces or nephews, put it on and the cycle continues.
Explain this goat shit. It's something that's a goat good or bad?
netfllix has all 3 seasons and I fully plot to indoctrinate my friend's newborn as soon as they leave them at my place for baby sitting. not to mention my future kids who are going to watch this from day 1.
Ingusch Avatar isn’t on Netflix...what are you talking about?
@@thehutch1674 Its on Canadian Netflix. I am going force my 4 year old nephew to watch the whole series.
I love Aang and Zuko, but Iroh is possibly my favorite character in fiction...

The southern raiders missing is an abomination
There's too many great Avatar episodes.
Even near the end of three great seasons, this episode stood out. No show has ever covered justified revenge so well...
and the Boiling Rock
Completely agree. What an incredible episode, it had everything: depth, redemption and forgiveness... to a degree. It's so emotionally complex that it makes the episodes from Book 1 seem simple, even though they were not.

Techincally Aang did die for a bit there only to be revived by the spirit water
I don't think he died he was just going to die. It's like when doctors shock people. They aren't dead but will be if nothing is done.
Your heart stops pumping then you are dead. Being revived doesn't negate that fact.

Crossroads of destiny is much better than seige of the north
Shelby Dickson agreed, they're both great but Crossroads of Destiny is so amazing
Jacob Boschert ikr
Come on! No love for Seige of the North?? I love C.o.D, too, but Seige was just as emotional and amazing!
I have been waiting for this video for 10 years
The best cartoon of all time
Don't forget Zack and Cody! Haha yes
Michael Bsh a no
The Crossroads Of Destiny is a Legendary Episode so much went into that episode
But we all know that the best episode is.....
*THE GREAT DIVIDE* 😆😆
I actually enjoyed that episode. I know many dont but I do.
I myself don't hate that episode... It just felt so outta the place and unnecessary
No omg lol
Same here, i really liked the great divide, especially when it's revealed that Aang was lying about the story lol. I think ppl just hate on the great divide cos its easy to fall victim to the bandwagon or mob mentality.
The worst episode for me is either the Jet episode when he's first introduced, or Zuko alone because it was such a downer episode, even though there was gud flashbacks that i really enjoyed.
Vasto Lorde I liked the great divide
Imagine an Avatar the last airbender game, breath of the wild style, I would lost so many hours playing that

💙💙💙💙💙💙
Ebrahiem Maneveld YES! In that episode you really got to see who Zuko, Azula, Mei, And Ty Lee truly were and how they felt
