Definitely on top of my list now once that new style tent comes out. When I purchased my alucab topper from Avo in 2022 Eric told me I would be back for the cabin. Man he was right. I just needed to be out in the field and figure that out myself! This is the best setup!
Question for you guys, the original alucab didn’t have as much space behind it for a JT. It seems like a lot of wasted space and seems now smaller. Is that just an optical illusion or is it actually less square feet inclosed?

Howdy Eric, wish I could have been able to have made it out there. This is Jay from GA by the way. What is the break down and deploy time like on the "family camper" top? I have seen them deployed from Expo West, but nothing showing how to deploy and break down.

Really digging the new door cupboard I have seen that is in the proto-type stage and the spare tire on the Tundra in the video looks larger than a 33 or are my eyes playing tricks on me? If it is a 35 is the door larger on that camper than on the Canopy Camper? Missed you at Moore by the way, decided to detour to Missouri on my way back from New Mexico.
But how easy is it for a user to swap out the roof options from home? Is Alu Cab releasing some new tool that allows the roof to be swapped out safely as well? It’s awesome the roofs can be swapped with different options, just not sure how realistic this is for the average couple or family? Having to go to a dealer each time to swap out the roof options would get annoying.
The roofs aren’t meant to be swapped on and off all the time. Being modular, it allows families to have options for the camper to better fit their family or style of camping. It’s recommended to have this installation done a your local dealer.
Way too heavy for a mid-size truck. Especially the family tent. The 2 person fully loaded with the goose gear cabinets is over your max vehicle weight. Never mind 5 people and all their gear in the family version. buy a 3/4 or one ton with this.
@@Inspector7I Although it appears to be heavy, the Alu-Cab products are made with aluminum which makes the Modcap Family Camper is only about 550lbs! 😊

Will the shadow awning and shower cube fit on the family cab?
There will be a specific Shadow awning bracket for the 4 sleeper. TBD on the shower cube currently.
What is the length and width of the sleeping dimensions on the family camper? Is it the same or smaller than a ikamper skycamp 3.0???
The dimensions will be released soon. We did not measure when we were at the event.

for the modcap with the eventual "convertible" top what is the material? is it a mesh or just a popup with nothing there? thanks
The flat top does not have any material on the sides. It is just a flat roof that can be switched out later for the tent options.

Hey Jay! The breakdown is about the same amount of time as the canopy camper.

What are the dimensions of the sleeping area in the family sleeper?
The dimensions will be released soon. Unfortunately, we did not measure the sleeping area when we were there.
How about the full size? I sold my mid size and went with a Full size and when I want my Jeep I will pull it to the trail.
Yep, the ModCAP is available for full size too. 👍 Check with your local dealer to see what specific trucks it will fit.
Does the family sleeper for the 5ft ModCaps?
Yes! The family sleeper can me added to any size ModCAP
Camper is nice, it might cost more than the truck it self.
