I do love the Piplup evolution, although they're Water Types, Empoleon is a Water and Steel Type, but that's OK, they're awesome still. I love Eiscue no matter if it's the Ice Face or the Noice Face. Ice is super effective against: Ground: The ground becomes infertile in the cold. Grass: Plants can't grow in the cold. Flying: Can't fly when it's cold. Dragon: Dragons get trapped in ice.
Yeah the temperature will go low to negative that’s why ground weak to ice 🧊 Plants 🌱 can’t grow during the cold 🥶 weather that is why it’s so weak to ice 🧊 Birds 🐦 can’t flying during cold 🥶 weather in a snow ❄️ storm ☔️ And dragons 🐉 are reptiles of cold blooded creatures that would freeze 🥶 up in the ice 🧊

Ice should resist Water because of the congelation effect when Water comes in contact with large amounts of ice. Ice resists Electric thanks to the molecular change water undergoes with the help of low temperatures which erase molecular movement thus energy making ice a bad conductor. Flying because wind blows are always cold in nature. Ice shouldn't be affected by wind currents the contrary be bolstered. Normal can't damage Rock or Steel that are solid. Ice is also solid meaning normal attacks won't be very effective against its solidity. Poison is another not effective type. Ice is inorganic and low temperatures break apart and weaken the chemical bonds of many toxins and venom. Especially if they are carbon and protein based. Dragon for the same reasons that Dragons hate cold and go into hibernation losing their might against Ice. Grass can't withstand cold weather and glaciers. The water in their vessels freezes and explodes damaging vegetation from inside out. Coming in contact with solid ice shouldn't be effective either.
Agreed except for Fire as it makes sense for it to be SE against it & Grass as it already resisted by too much types and don’t forget that Ground & Flying should be resisted by Ice!
Ice type needs tactics and brain from player to cover all it's weaknesses. Hail and abilites like Snow Cloak or Slush Rush and special pokemon like Eiscue makes Ice type the best one in Pokemon
Sadly those tactics that make Ice powerful are extremely easy to counter Slush Rush: Remove hail or use a Scarfed mon Snow Cloak: They still having lot of weakness and are frail overall, Ice types weren’t born to stall Hail: Does almost nothing rather than activating the mentioned abilities, resulting on type repeats Aurora Veil: Is the only decent thing, but Lapras exists and can setup without Hail which is a nuisance for both players, unless, well repeats
