One of the best all round cartridges ever made. Nice rifle for not much money, you could set to the stock with a set of rasps to get it comfortable. A nice thick Silvers recoil pad would improve the felt recoil and make it look a bit better too.

The 375HH has such a rich history and a potent performer.I bought a Sako 375HH many moons ago and love the gun and cartridge combination. The recoil over a bench can sometimes be challenging after multiple shots. If the rifle fits you correctly,is well weighted(timber stock),the correct optics/open sites are fitted and your ammunition is not running too hot then you’ll be fine.Shooting the 375HH free hand at targets or game is no problem at all. This caliber delivers a big puuushh(😂).With the correct feet-body placement and some practice you’ll be pleasantly surprised with how nice they can be to shoot.Sambar deer in the Victorian high country(Australia)tend not to be so forthcoming in promoting the 375HH!😳Cheers, Rob.

😂 love the bit about deer not promoting the round - might have to steal that one!

    Good video!
Would a video be possible on recommended ear defenders?
Not sure if you already have a video on this but with so many on the market would be really helpful!

I'm surprised there isn't more interest in the 375 H&H in the UK considering that's where it originated. I don't own one because I have a 9.3x62mm but I do have a Winchester M70 in 300 H&H that has served me quite well. As you mentioned the caliber would be a great killer on red deer. I have a buddy who has used a 375 Weatherby chambered M70 on quite a few hunts I have been on him with and from deer to elk I have never seen any animal do anything but die on the spot when hit with a 250gr bullet from that rifle. There's no such thing as too dead. I like how that one is screw cut for a moderator as you guys would say. I wish more rifles in the US came set up this way from the factory.
Aside from that, another rifle you would probably appreciate for it's ergonomics, trigger, and accuracy is the Browning AB3. I know Tikkas are immensely popular over there but I'm surprised I don't see the AB3 showing up more often. It also has the advantage of a bolt lock out when the safety is engaged which I quite like as well as a much shorter bolt lift being that it has a three lung bolt. This is a great help when shooting with gloves on.
Great stuff. Keep up the good work.

Tex have a look at FB and other sociel media for H&H , turned around from guns to clothing boutique store, sad as hell it is.
Also many strange gun rules in UK,some Police gov in counties say .375 and similar are too big for ranges and deer ,and too strong ammo for ranges also.
Here in Norway, it is a favorite for traveller adventures and 1 rifle for all. I got a system rifke with 2 barrels this year, one of them is suppressed and will be good for lot of hard hills and brush areas, it is also in .375 HH

@@MrPh30 what a shame. You may or may not know that a company called Abercrombie and Fitch used to be a sporting goods company that also sold fine firearms in the United States. It is also now just an over priced clothing brand name.

All the moments from books of Roosevelt, Ruark, catalog papges flashed for my eyes . All reduced to a pinkgin moment of sadness.

The comb is not too low but rather the scope is too high looks to me.

      @FeralTuckerFella 4 роки тому +1

Likewise. Id be more inclined on a lower mag smaller obj scope on a 375.
John, I'd love to see a review on a timber stocked 243 or similar.

A wooden stocked bergara or other?

@@tgsoutdoors A wooden stocked begarra 243 would really pique my interest. Esp with a well balanced mod. Am I right in understanding the creedmore is the only one without a detachable magazine. 1.7-10x 42 meopta would go well on the 375!

I prefer the 9.3 x 62mm. The recoil is more manageable, but with the same terminal effect.
