    I’m making my grandson a round blanket. When that’s done, I’m going to follow your instructions and make my granddaughter a hexagon blanket. I’ve made numerous regular blankets, but I wasn’t getting the sides as nice as I’d like this time. So, I decided to make round and hexagon blankets. Thank you for being the perfect instructor. 👍🏼

    The bottom of mines Is flat and goes straight across, but the top is pointed. Is that bad or good? Some tutorials I see the top is pointed, but the bottom is straight across. I don’t know if I missed a stitch, made to many, or if I am joking the rounds wrong.

    Hi great clear video thanks but one issue my pet irk that is NOT a double crochet in the UK and you sound very British to me, that a treble crochet in the UK its only a DC in the USA. Please if you are British would you please learn and use Britsih term? Sorry it really annoys me emensely that very British sounding people do this, I understand it is weird thing to pick on but I find it unsettling I am on a quest to stop US terms from dominating and changing our British language just because there are more people making videos on crochet using US terms should not mean we all have to use their crochet terms.

    • @KeepCalmAndCrochet
      @KeepCalmAndCrochet  8 місяців тому +2

      Hi there,
      Yes I am british and totally understand your point. I was taught to crochet by my mum when i was little and these terms are ingrained in my brain. So it’s hard to hard to change it over night. however i can certainly create a few videos with english terms too. x

    • @deborahthomas3539
      @deborahthomas3539 6 місяців тому +6

      @CraigsOverijise you know what she means. Leave her alone! How about you take on a quest that’s more useful. Crocheters, here in America, have to pay attention to who we’re watching so we make the proper stitch too. It’s no big deal. We don’t all have to be the same.

    • @CraigsOverijse
      @CraigsOverijse 6 місяців тому

      @@deborahthomas3539 for goodness sakes she was not offended by my comment you have no need to be. Oh dear me poor you and other viewers in America on occasion have pay attention to follow along, but at least the vast majority of videos you watch on youtubr use US terms I recon 90%of videos I see do even those by none Americans are using US terms. I have been using British terms for over five decades, it can be very difficult indeed to figure out sometime when you did not grow up on US terms sometimes. Possible it is you should get a better hobby than making disparaging remarks to other people making polite requests to help them follow along more easily!
