    Thank you for this video! My sister, who has since passed, gave me a beautiful afghan made using this stitch over 30 years ago. It is well loved. I’m hoping to finish one to give to my granddaughters.

    I will use your tutorial, but, what would need to change if I wanted to make it in single crochets?

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  14 днів тому

      Great question! If you want to make a hexagon using single crochets instead of double crochets, you'll need to adjust the stitch counts to account for the tighter tension. You might want to increase the number of stitches in each round to maintain the hexagonal shape. Just keep in mind that it will take a bit longer, but the final product will still look lovely! If you have any more specific questions, feel free to ask. Happy crafting! 🧶✨

    I love your tutorials! Everything is explained so well! Do you have a tutorial that shows how to attach hexagons to form a blanket, and how to edge it? Also, would love to see how you do half hexagons!

      I'm thrilled to hear that you love the tutorials! While I don't have specific tutorials on attaching hexagons for a blanket or edging them, I can definitely guide you through the process and offer some tips.
      To attach hexagons for a blanket, you'll want to lay them out in the desired pattern first. Then, using a yarn needle and yarn that matches your hexagons, stitch them together using a whip stitch or slip stitch along the edges. Make sure to weave in the ends neatly to give your blanket a polished look.
      As for edging, you can choose from various crochet edging techniques such as single crochet, shell stitch, or picot edging to add a finishing touch to your blanket. Experiment with different edgings to find one that complements your design.
      As for half hexagons, You can search for specific half hexagon patterns online or in crochet books for detailed instructions.
      I hope these tips help you in your blanket-making journey! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting!

    If you use different colors, do you have to turn your work over?

    Very easy tutorial, very appreciated. I was using a basic granny hexagon (I'm making pillows), but the gaps were too big and my stuffing kept coming out. This is a tutorial I can follow.
    (By 'making pillows' I mean I'm making hexagons, folding them in half, stitching and stuffing them. They're perfect for leaning up against and give fantastic back and arm support. This should be an ideal hexagon for my second one.)

      I’m so glad to hear that the tutorial was helpful for you! 😊 It sounds like you’re making some fantastic and supportive pillows. Using this hexagon pattern should definitely help reduce those gaps and keep your stuffing in place. If you have any more questions or need further tips, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting and best of luck with your pillows! 🧶🛋️

    I love watching your video tutorials. You explained so well. Do you gave a video tutorial on how to attached the hexagon squares together?

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  4 місяці тому

      Thank you so much for your kind words!🥰 I'm glad to hear that you enjoy watching my video tutorials and find the explanations helpful. While I don't have a specific tutorial on attaching hexagons together at the moment, I can certainly create one or provide you with some tips on how to do it effectively.
      To attach hexagons together, you can use various methods such as slip stitching, single crocheting. I like to sew them together using the whip stitch.
      Lay out your hexagons in the desired pattern.
      With right sides facing each other, use a yarn needle or crochet hook to join the squares together. You can start at any corner or edge.
      Weave in any loose ends to secure the joins and trim excess yarn.
      Happy crocheting! 🧶✨

    Thanks for the tutorial!
    I found that if you use a thinner yarn (or I guess if you made the hexagon fairly big) the whole thing starts to curl. So, starting with the 4th round, I chain one after every double crochet and add one to the corner chain to keep it nice and flat.
