started playing TCG pocket this month and was curious about what a real match looks like thinking i would be able to understand what was happening because of the game but this looks so much more complicated than i imagined.
Right? I can’t stop shaking when I’m at the pointy end of a match when it’s just a local weekly standard tournament. I don’t know how they can do it when the stakes are so high. It’s impressive
Ok I know these are the rules of the tournament and all but come ooonnn why do you have to put a timer on a finals match?? Those are the greatest players in the world and none of them are using stall strategies. Let them play the third game at its full, let us see them do their best till the end, it feels so disapointing to see the match end because one of them took 4 prices and the other 3. And I am not saying this because Tord lost, I just think both players deserve to play the last game until it is finished.
@@Superaalleexx Yeah I get why they have time in place generally speaking, although if you think about it, they have 75 minutes +3 additional turns & sudden death in finals right? But the thing is, once time is called, they played infinitely slower because they can to think of the best play, right? So logically speaking they spent so much time additionally after time was over (around 20ish minutes), it makes you wonder why there even is time in the finals in the first place haha.

While there is something cool about playing differently because you know you're on your last turn, it is unsatisfying to not see game point in a 1 and 1 match get played all the way through.
I may be missing something, but what was the point of switching the mew vmax twice? And I only saw one switch cart being played so how was he able to retreat two different times if Mew V had no energies? I only saw power tablet being played 1st then switch cart so I don't understand that part.
Mew VM used Cross Fusion Strike, which copies Genesect V's Techno Blast, however after using it that Pokemon can't attack on it's next turn. In order to reset the attack he has to retreat (Mew has no retreat cost) and then use Switch Cart to get his Mew VM with the energy cards back in the Active slot and then use Genesect's Techno Blast again
If the timer goes to zero there are 3 turns added, and after these three turns are over, if they cant finish the game, you check who has taken more prize cards which Vince has after he had knocked out the Zacian. Sidenote: If both players have taken the same amount of prizes after the added 3 turns, a winner is decided in a sudden death game.

Why did Tord cut his own deck at 10:15 after his opponent shuffled and presented? I don’t play Pokémon TCG but I play many others and surely that’s not okay after your opponent randomises?
Final cut means just that - final CUT, not final shuffle. It's the best rule to prevent either player from stacking either their own or their opponent's deck. After you shuffle your deck, you have to present it to the opponent. If they cut it, that's the end. If they shuffle it, you get to cut it, and that's the end. If you had to accept your opponent shuffling your deck without a cut, they could easily see a bad card and put it on top of your deck, or see a good card and put it on the bottom.
