@@PhuNguyen-cp1iw I mean if you mean something like Reg H, I believe he has. If you mean just using no legendary, yes he has. If you mean no restricted pokemon, on easily.
@@PhuNguyen-cp1iw yeah, off the top of my head he has like the Coalossal and stuff in gen 8 as well as a bunch of his old Gen 5 teams from when he first started playing
If you told me that Marco and Wolfe were to face off I would guess this was an IC or Worlds level event. Not a regional. The field has just gotten so much better.
I know basically nothing about competitive pokémon, but i've been having a blast watching these, seeing stuff that in a normal playthrough makes no sense but here actually matters, it's incredible Congrats to Wolfe for winning his 10th regional, that seems super impressive
wolfe also has a youtube channel where he breaks down all his decisions before and during a tournament so that casual players like us can understand all the layers of strategy, it's quite good.
I’ll never compete because of the grinding required to set up a perfect team (only then to realize you don’t like one mon and need to switch it out for another mon from scratch) but it’s so fun to think about battling in a more involved way after spending my whole life playing casually.
10 Regionals is a pretty big deal. Hes also one of only 2 ppl to make it into the Worlds finals more than once. The other guy being the one who beat him in his first finals, and the only one to win Worlds more than once... or more than twice for that matter.
Gen 2 is proving once again that it has some GOOD mons, Kingdra, Politoed, Porygon2 and Jumpluf were all on the stage at the same time at some point and I felt like the year is 2000 again. 34:34 for the reference.
All of Wolfey's pokemon were looking at him in this. All hoping, waiting. Every strategy from perish trap, to speed boost tailwind yanmega. They all were looking at him, like a finale of all the perished memorable characters looking down at a main character and the group that formed during their adventure. Each and every one watched as he made play after play, turning the game into what was thought as a loss, into a glimmer of hope. This was an intense rollercoaster, and Wolfe didnt just win, he won with the forgotten rain duo, politoed and kingdra, suck on that pelipper. Congrats Wolfe, for getting your 10th regional win!
So sad that Reg H is going away. Thought about competing but if we are just going to go back to legendaries in every game then I’ll probably just bow out. I dislike how every trainer has a “legendary” Pokémon, like they’re common place. Reg H is the best regulation they’ve ever had.
Man, I can see why Wolfey hates Incineroar so much, what a painfully annoying pokemon. So glad to see him win though, he played so well! That knock off on the Ursaluna in the beginning was nuts!
People root for Wolfe like they root for MkLeo. They're players with more wins under their belts than anyone but people never stop tiring of their dominance because they're constantly thinking of new and inventive ways to win.
Cant wait for the verlisify videos calling him a cheater because of reasons. Lol. I know he plays well and his strategy is good but what are the chances he had a shiney. Thats impossible hacker.
Verlisify and his followers are the strangest specimens available. If you want to win a war by weirding out your enemy you can do it with that fanbase.
@zodiacblue9312 I was joking. If you don't know verlisify, he has a strange hard on for Wolfie and keeps going back to it years later. he has a shiney, impossible he has something in a hard to get pokeball, impossible. It's a strange fixation.
I always wondered if he claims to be the best why doesn't he go compete at vgc himself, is it because he knows he will lose, or he knows how hated he is and fears for his own safety?
Because Nintendo for the longest time didn't care, and why should they when making competitively viable pokemon was inctedibly annoying for like 7 gens?
You'd be banning every single player from the DS era. Making a serious competitive team without hacking them was hardly even possible back then, and is still an unreasonable timesink.
There have been only three Regionals in the history of VGC that were won by a player using Perish Trap, and it was all Wolfey.
i'm curious, has wolfey ever won anything in a non-Legendary and Mythical regulation without using Perish Trap?

That's awesome! I'm glad you're enjoying these sets even without much knowledge on competitive!

This
regulation
is
the best thing that happened to VGC. I've never had so much fun watching prior to that.
Parish Trap is Wolfe's signature at this point.
Always has been
Probably has been for like a decade tbh.
Parish trap is what i call catholicism

Dude really brought a Kingdra and won the entire tournament. That's just the world champ difference, babyyyy
that was like watching high level chess. Good lord the amount of reads these two had to do.
This game was an absolute masterclass between the current best player and the goat.
GGs to both players!! 💙
Wolfey con perish... No...
Best regulation, so many interesting teams
amazing wolfe glick performance. great new historic record set!
one of the best set this regional.
Wolfe's such a genuinely nice guy and so entertaining - happy to see him get another one under his belt!
Kingdra Politoed goes insane, Rain is so back
The required perish trap team win from Wolf is here everyone :)

I mean it was a terrible matchup for marco but u should work in marketing or something
Boooooo where's the thirst trap pic Wolfe used??
The real question!!
I like to imagine the coordinators called Wolfey again to retake the photo due to people keep calling him hot 😂

Why is it impossible? Just use mints and bottle caps, it‘s not that hard.

Wolfey cheated in his past World championship. Why is he still allowed to play?
