OK gotcha. What I think I may do is to get two longer bolt that will fit and cut the head off to use it as guides so the pan goes straight up. Then put a few of the ones that came off back on. Thanks for your help.
On my 1999 Mazda protégé 1.6l DOHC repair manual it says to pry the mbsp from engine block...and it says to remove transaxle stiffener before removing oil pan...I didn't see it in your video that's why I was asking...maybe it's different for my car
Thank you. I think this is my issue.
Which bolt holes exactly do the two short bolts go? I wish you showed it
Goes right by the exhaust part
Mind telling me what kind of rtv i should buy
how long did your cork gasket last after you installed it the first time? I made the mistake of getting one.
Thanks for the video bud. So there is no need to remove the exhaust to do the job?
Jackson Cruz no u can remove it without removing exhaust but it would be easier if you did.
Thanks. Im going to attempt to do mine. Any issues with the RTV smearing when getting it back up into the block?
Jackson Cruz yes with the exhaust on you have to do a slight rotation when putting it on practice it a few times before you put it on.

what can you clean the inside surface with? break cleaner?
Did you have to remove the integrated stiffener?
You do not need to remove the MBSP (mid block support plate).
