I’ve been really sick since January and been in bed non stop for a very long time, I’ve been fighting cancer since 2020, first with breast and lymph node cancer and won that battle for it to come back aggressively in my bones four years later. I’ve fall down the rabbit hole with Duck Dynasty, Unashamed, Duck call room. I love them all. Seen them a few times now. Then when I saw the movie Chosen come out I was hooked and sitting on my seat for more from all of you. You all have made my faith stronger and I thank you all very much. God bless you all.

I get the main idea of what you mean, but God still hates sin and lying. There is a difference between seeing evil for what it is and being offended. And we *aren't* worth his love. That's why it's so valuable. We actually *don't* deserve it, and yet he still unconditionally gives it.
@@Beregond1861 worth and deserving are different. Careful with how you see the Gospel, because He paid a high price for us: the blood of His Son. Idk how valuable you think the blood of His only Son is, but that is the highest price He could pay. And if you are saying what I think you are saying, He paid a high price for nothing? I would find that hard to believe when He didn't even want to waste baskets of bread and fish.

@@jerem18h That's what we are without his grace, nothing. We are quite literally a spiritual *dead corpse* without him. We cannot earn glory. Our lack of worth does not lessen his amount of perfection. He bought us. No one can choose salvation to happen to them, through their own "worth" or otherwise. But contextually at least, you're the first one here who used the term "worth." I brought up the term "deserve." And without his grace, scripture does tell us unappologetically that we all *deserve* to burn in the lake of fire. I never said we aren't uniquely made in his image, but God did not need to save us, yet he still chose to do so *DESPITE* our lack of "worth." "Total depravity"? The book of Ephesians concerning being "dead in sin"?
We all need to be praying for Dallas and the entire project -- because nothing can be this important and effective without coming under attack -- and I'm not just thinking humans but also spiritual attacks. So everyone, pray for protection for the entire Chosen project.

As a 50 something year old man I haven’t realized that I haven’t cried in years and my mother died last year but when I watched this I couldn’t hold it back. I identified with so many scenes in this. I can’t point to a particular favorite scene but when Mary backslides it hit me hard especially when Mary came back to the group and was so ashamed and Jesus said so easily said I forgive you that hit me unexpectedly and hard.
I loved the wink from Jesus at Barnaby - and his joy and laughter, his beautiful compassion you could see in his eyes/face and even his fun side and Jonathan did Jesus so well - like for me the most approachable Jesus I have seen in all my Bible movies.
It’s not Jesus. That’s Johnathan Roumie, a Roman Catholic mystic and ”knights Templar” member who prays to Mary, and worships statues.
He is probably not saved.

The first episode where Jesus calls Mary by her name, that was it for me. I was hooked.

I haven’t had TV x 9 years. Spend my free time now in the Word and studying it out . So many errors in English translations that it takes much studying.
That moment made me feel like the joy of my salvation again. I felt like He was talking to me.

The last episode when Jesus came running to cast out the demon and save Simon the zealot caused me to burst into tears because I practically FELT the protective love of God, my heavenly Father- something I've missed out on from an earthly father. I pray for this ministry to be a part of the Holy Spirit being poured out over the world, and for hearts to be fertile ground for Him.
Yes & I cried so hard when the man was healed on his mat by the pool of Bethesda. I was yelling at the screen saying,”Get up!” Hehehe
The greatest thing is that we all have our Heavenly Father & His Son! Praise the LORD! Be holy because He is holy!

I had an amazing dream after watching season 1. In my dream Jesus was with me. He was answering all my questions and he just seemed delighted to be with me. I kept expecting he would leave or become bored with me, but he didn't. Then I worried that there were others that needed him too, but realized it was ok because he was with them too. Never have I had a dream where I felt that kind of love, peace, comfort, joy, happiness. It was indescribable. I felt so loved. And it was because the Chosen brought Jesus to me. Thank you. And I always loved Duck Dynasty. God be with you all.

@@lillyluvsJesus Revelation might be a touchy subject since the church as a whole is divided on it. And his dad's views, while popular and big money makers, is not the historical views of the 2000 year old church. Id love to see it, but we've got enough "Left Behind" theoretical movies and books.
My husband thinks season 7 will be Acts because Dallas has said that season 6 is when Jesus gets crucified. I also would like to see him cover Revelation just to see how he would depict it vs his dad.
It's really refreshing to see a more "human" Jesus, while He is *still* portrayed lovingly and with reverence. The Chosen is a show so desperately needed for our times. 💕
He has so long been depicted as a man of sorrow, while He was actually filled with Joy!

Same for me! I love it, though! He had to have gotten the sense of humor from His Father. Look at all the amazing creations around us (like animals, birds, fish, etc.,) as well as the different personalities He created. God dealt with the Israelites and I think that would have taken a sense of humor and lots of love, patience, mercy, grace, and forgiveness.

The redemption of Mary Magdalene was the most powerful scene for me out of all the episodes. The next one is the crippled Samaritan and his backstory told by Jesus.

CHOSEN-BINGERS, UNITE!! Once I stumbled onto the story, I went for a ten-hour binge! At first, I skipped all that director's comments "junk", (boy, was I wrong), then once I got all caught up, I went back and watched every episode over at least three more times each. I have turned many of my non-believing friends on to this totally unique series, and hearts are being changed! Now I am chomping at the bit for each new episode. Keep up the great work!

I recently learned that apparently, the original correct phrase was not 'chomping at the bit' but 'champing at the bit' with an a. IIRC, it's got something to do with horse racing. But I quickly found out that it's kinda pointless to spell it right because it's such a common misspelling, you'll invariably get several people who think they're finally geniuses replying "chomping*" anyhow so you have to explain it which makes you sound a bit douchey. Long story short ignorance is bliss, I wish I never learned it because it totally ruined the phrase for me hahaha sorry totally off topic I know I'm just bored. God bless!

Just listening to D describe the scene with the 10 years of uncleanliness in a purity culture brought tears to my eyes.
My favorite episode is season 2 episode 3, when they are arguing and Jesus walks by them, worn out from ministering to so many people, and Jesus just says Goodnight and Mother Mary washes him, I lost it.

@@cathydemarest3572 Dallas states chosen is 95% non biblical so remember that and enjoy its entertainment value but go to scripture if you have questions. Jesus of Nazereth is heavily scripture off the pages of text onto the screen. Its the exact opposite to chosen and also a good watch.

One of my favorite things is that this show has bring all Christ lovers together. I love that we have different understandings but we can unify in our love of Jesus.
I mean this not as an attack but scripture interprets itself and if we are not United on the Jesus of the Bible then we can not be United.
I agree that the truth is not determined by our understanding- but if having a perfect understanding of all doctrine determines our salvation or who is a “true follower” then we are all screwed. I think it would do us well to let Christ be the judge of who loves him and who is his. Much love to you brother!

What we NEED is to READ THE SCRIPTURES 🙏 in doing that THE MESSIAH will keep the passion alive inside us.
Why do we need it? Jesus gave to us all we need. I’m uncomfortable with it to be honest because they have to take a lot of liberties when doing a mini series to have enough content. I know the Bible but a lot of watchers do not and this represents Jesus to them so not sure we should add anything into Gods word. I’m not condemning it, just saying caution is in order and I’ve loved the Lord a long time and never needed a mini serious about Jesus.

If it were just some random action movie, that would be different, but this is specifically about Jesus the messiah, and they do everything possible to pervert and ruin the image of Jesus.
Much of the reason Satan uses visual media entertainment to pervert Christianity and Jesus is because entertainment programming is effective in the subversive propagandizing process. The show associates an auditory/visual memory that is recalled when we read the Bible. If you watch the show, and then read the bible, your brain will recall visual-audio memories of the actors in the show, and when you read about Jesus, you will get an image of the antichrist Jonathan Roumie, a Roman Catholic new age/mystic who prays to dead people, statues, and images. Further, your brain will also recall other scenes of extrabiblical content when reading the Bible, which is dangerous and distracting.
Also, while you don't think there's Mormon content, they have progressively been slipping more into it. There's numerous examples of this in the show, including the one from the 3rd Season stating that Jesus is the law, which is distinctly Mormon. From the onset, they used a 100% Mormon app to distribute the show, which exposes Christian families to purely Mormon content.
In the end, the show intends to create an interfaith ecumenism that God's word warns against. They want to unite Mormons with Roman Catholics and Protestants (which they're using Dallas Jenkins for, as the token "Christian"), but God's word tells us:

I have so much to say… I’m going to leave it at, I found Jesus last Easter, 32 years old. I watched chosen 2 months ago. And I am on my 4th round! I absolutely LOVE it.
This show completely makes the Gospels seem so much more real... relatable! These writers are amazing! Thank You Lord for bringing these guys together! Writers, producers, actors, and Dallas and his wife! And thankful to all who Pay It Forwar!!

The first episode of The Chosen I saw was The Sheperd, the Christmas special. I was hooked and had to help. I Love The Chosen. If you haven't seen it, you should. It will change your life!

There's a section on the app where you can look at extras - it's interviews and videos of Dallas explaining why certain things were done the way they were. That video was actually the short film he did for his church and opened the doors for this project to be done. It makes this whole series even more powerful to watch.
The shepherd movie made me cry ...i loved that one and can't find it anymore.
Seeing this group of people together in one room made me teary. Loaves and fish! What a cool thing. Bless you brothers!

@@tomtemple69 think of it like this. When listening to your pastor, he doesn’t always say scripture verbatim to give you understanding. He uses modern language to help give you more understanding.

When Dallas shared about the future story of the woman who bled for 10 years "deemed" unclean. It brought tears to my eyes. Because I know I judge myself, my past and have fallen short. Thank you so much for sharing Jesus with us in such a powerful way.
I just loved seeing this! Thank you for having such a great interview with Dallas! The Chosen is such a remarkable show. Jonathan is so humble and loves Jesus so much! He is completely committed to portraying Jesus as authentically as humanly possible. He would be the first to tell you he is a totally flawed human being, and has been gifted with the honor of playing Jesus.

The last episode of Season 3 had me in a flood of tears. I couldn't even talk about it to others without tears. So beautiful and powerful and personal.
I love the Chosen! I feel like it's brought all the religions together. I'm a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints (or as most people call us mormon) but each week I watch the chosen with a few of my friends who are Baptist and Catholic and even though we have different beliefs we all believe in our savior Jesus Christ and we all feel the spirit so strongly every time we watch the Chosen. Really appreciate this Channel.
With respect, Mormons do not worship Jesus. They worship a false version of Jesus created by Joseph Smith, and Mormon doctrine teaches your good works are necessary to salvation. A false Jesus who needs your good works cannot save you. I encourage you to examine the Bible for the truth. Grace to you
