These 15fps drones are just embarrassing. I really wonder why so many toygrade level drone manufacturers have gone down this route instead of just focusing on making a quality 720p experience.

I'd say SJRC already made the best 720p drone you could ever get for the price, which is the SJRC S20W, S30W, and the S70W. Out of all of the toy grade level manufacturers, I'd say SJRC is the most impressive for what they do. The 15 fps honestly was the most "iffy" thing to me when I say this, but then again, you have the F11 (which I actually know nothing about to be honest). That'll be good if SJRC makes an improved camera for the F7, because I was actually quite surprised that SJRC would actually do something like this to their drone.
the Yuneec Q500 was the first drone I saw that you can remove the camera and gimbal. and it even came with a separate handle to mount the camera and gimbal too, so you can film smooth videos without the drone

Well done Captain! a very welcome video in what seems to be a "drought" with other reviewers!; its quite amazing to think that in 2021 there is a Drone with the specs of the F7 Pro which sells for approx $380 AUD !!!; yes, a shame they didn't up the frame rate to at least 25 as it would have then made it an entry level game changer !!!; I certainly envy new pilots of today with the choices they have compared to only 6 years ago !!!
at 3:20 it is about that it is possible to disconnect the camera and then mount another camera for example and then you say that you have not seen that before.. But was this also not possible with the GOPRO KARMA?
Given the video frame rate, maybe it would produce better results if it had a much slower slowest speed setting. Otherwise it looks like a great way to get into camera drones.
This drone seems to fly quite well.Nice and stable.Obviously the camera thats on the drone at 15fps is no good for video,but it takes great photo,s,in standard form.I guess when they say camera drone,its good for foto,s,when they say video drone its good for video,this 1 looks like a camera drone.A clever move though by sjrc,they knew they would be bringing out a better camera for this,that you would buy,if you needed better video.Thanks for the video captain,great content.🤠

Have they upgraded the camera? On the included link, rc goings description says its a 30fps camera, but banggood still lists it as 15... its an interesting quad, but im not spending that kind of money on 15fps...
The MJX bugs B20 has a similar form factor, no gimbal however it does have EIS and 60fps or 30fps depending on 4k or 1080 - it is also a little bit cheaper ( you reviewed the B20 a while back and remarked on its 'tripod' mode being particularly impressive )
I have Bugs 20 and waiting for Bugs 16 Pro also. Bugs 20 is a great bird to start from, but it's better to get Bugs 16 Pro or SJRC F11 4K Pro. They both have real 4K resolution, though people claim they don't because of blurry optics and EIS which degrades the image further in a way similar to how simple “spike” noise reduction works. You can actually get a sort of decent picture from these if you know how to set up focus on your lens, but that may reveal a bit of jello because of sharper image coming into EIS. I should once try that and see if I can fix the sharpness myself on my drones. The color range and quality you get is about tolerable under sunlight, a bit less at sunset or sunrise, and just awful once sun goes down. Also, there's a problem with variable frame rate when you get freezes both on FPV and SD card if it jumps too high for onboard encoder to handle in time. Yes, Bugs 20 records with variable framerate at the average of 29.97 FPS, it's not straight 30/25/24 FPS as it should be for a cinematic drone. I hope they never do that again in further birds. One more thing I don't like is the gimbal wheel, its response time is sometimes unpredictable. Otherwise, it's fine for the price. The sport mode is fun (but usable only on sight, FPV delay is ridiculous), the tripod mode is really smooth even on camera, given no gimbal and mediocre EIS, RTH works well (I never had an error more than 1.5 m), orbit mode is good, follow mode is acceptable, altitude and position hold are pretty good, controller is nice, and the GPS gets satellites fast, a lot of them. I usually get full 19 by the time I'm mid compass calibration. The only thing I wish would be there, except for a better camera, is better FPV, like on FIMI, that allows to use the full controller range and has less delay, but that's currently impossible at the price point.

Once again, an excellent detailed review by Captain Drone ... thank you. I found the design of the F7 quite interesting and apparently it does fly quite well. The F7's transmitter is much improved over the one used on the F11 pro 4k (with it's stupid backlit screen that is not visible in the sun and has no telemetry). Unfortunately, the 15 FPS camera is a joke and is incomprehensible to me why they would do that to an otherwise good budget quad. Frankly, I would not trade my F11 Pro 4k for it! However, If that Transmitter would work with my F11 and if they would sell it separately for a reasonable price, I would really consider buying it (just the transmitter that is). Again, thanks for another informative review.
The drone is good except for that 'skippy-looking' 15fps. Why oh why did they do that...people would've been snapping this one up because it aces every test EXCEPT the fps. Info jam packed excellent review as always.
I'm guessing they had to settle for a slower processor as the drone doesn't have the lens correction like the F11 4K. Is the remote compatible with the F11 4K? The added range for both remote and video would be amazing, not to mention the better screen.
Love your video's, the reviews are always fair and honest! I just bought the DJI Phantom 3 Pro last night. Getting its all prepped and ready for my first flight with it. I ONLY paid 400.00 for it and it's practically brand new. The guy used it for music video shoots and hated carrying such a big container to shoots. lol
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Hi captain drone love the informative videos you bring out really helps me make informed decisions on what to buy ,I've a couple of questions if you don't mind I have an eachine ex4 which up until recently worked really well until one day I turned it on and all I got was a solid red light ,the camera worked because I could see the fpv through the phone app but there was no gps signal coming from the drone ,so I replaced the GPS unit but it still didn't work ! Any ideas why its not working the batteries are a little swollen but that hasn't affected it before . Another question is can use my own action camera on the F7 pro ?
@@johnharker1888 Do you mean no GPS even after you did the compass calibration? I have never heard of a GPS going on these budget units, usually it is always the VTX, so not sure what the issue is. The F7 Pro may not fly well lifting an action camera.

This is my 3rd drone and I'm totally satisfied. Camera little iffy but flight time is str8 n the range I haven't maxxed out yet. However at 3200' out n 340' up it did great. Great review btw.
with the distance this drone is getting it seems crazy , usually phones won't connect to wifi that far away even is perfect conditions. A mile is not possible unless the phone is connecting to the controller and communicating that way.
The drone looks pretty good. I just wish they would put a lower res, higher frame rate camera (like 1080p, 30fps). Because, at this price, you could get a refurb DJI Mini for just $30 more.
Wow, looks like a Mavic and Phantom 1 had a baby! Nice review CD! About $100USD cheaper than a C-Fly Faith 2. If I were shopping, I would spend the extra money and get the C-Fly. Little more professional than this thing (no calibration steps necessary, longer range, longer flight time, and true 4K/30 video.)
Idk why SJRC released F7 with 15fps, just remember F11 released in 3 different 4k 15fps,24fps, and latest 30fps with 3 axis gimbal and eis.. maybe can answere this.. and there is problem with F7 about reconnecting. If u switch off your remote, aircraft forced into RTH and u cannot reconnect again, so is the fpv, u wont see anything to confirm aircraft auto RTH .

I watch almost all the drone reviews, but this one just doesn't make sense. 15 FPS, in a world where the "standard" has now reach 60 FPS, is embarrassing. I really don't see the point of even creating such a drone.
For some people the 15 FPS does not matter because the drone has so many other really good features. People buy drones for different reasons (some for the color of the drone).
I like the looks of this drone. As most of them seem to follow the same design. I am curious if there are any alternative camera's that you could upgrade to. Or I wonder if you could somehow convert another camera to be installed onto the drone. This and the V-copter drone are the some of the most distinct looking drones I know of.
I have a iphone 12 prop max and it will not fit in the standard clamps on control boxes. Please to tell me if there is anything I can do to right situation

Only in a magical kingdom that would work. You see, in the real world, the weather of where you are standing is not the same as the weather your local weather station has reported to UAV forecast. UAV forecast is merely an app where you set the parameters of what you'd like for when you fly and it then lets you know if any of your requests are exceeded. Is it accurate? It's better than nothing but it can only be accurate in general and not accurate as to where you are standing (i.e., are you downtown, are you in a park, are you in a farmer's field, etc).
SJRC is becoming better and better... Thats a budget drone which has a good camera quality. 4K and 15 fps is nice but not for them who chase something like other RC vehicles or want to shoot cinematic video... It do have many interesting features like orbit, waypoints and follow me which makes it a lot better... Max range is 3 KM which is impressive! It is beautiful... Overall its worth the price for beginners!
Looks like bugs 12 and mavic having a baby lol.. its good drone and the best feature is the removable camera module the downside is the 4k 15fps. I love my spark and its 1080p camera, why they didn't change the camera into 1080p 60fps or 2k 30 fps, maybe they will sell camera module with different fps separately that would be interesting..
Great review was very informative, as most I love the Drone think it has a lot of very nice features for a budget drone and yes I think the only real draw back it the 15 fps. that being the case, dose anyone know if there is an upgrade cam available for it yet??

Great review once again 😄. Though I have a question (unrelated to the review). I have the jjrc h78g drone that I bought 2 years ago. It came with one battery and that battery is damaged. Anyways, I got into many websites (gearbest,banggood etc) to see if there is any h78g batteries on sale and I didn't find any. But then I saw the jjrc x16, which is identical to the h78g drone that I own and, fortunately, there are x16 drone batteries sold separately on banggood. So here is my question. Will the battery from the x16 drone be compatible with my h78g drone? I could really use your help on this one please.
I think you're using your cell phone ... About the map and/or sat look(aerial) ... if a person uses a non-subscribed phone(no service),will the finger tapping still indicate a map or aerial?
WOW ... 15 frames ... even a few frames a second would be great for me ... BUT, I'm not sure the photos do the drone justice ... I would love to have access to one of those pictures so I could evaluate the quality ... is this possible?
Quadcopter itself seems good (fast too); camera is sub par though with its pathetic 4K @ 15fps. Video looks choppy, especially pointed down (unwatchable imo). For the price there are better overal performing quads.

I'm not making a movie, I just want good outdoor photos of the beautiful scenery. Since that camera is removable it would be a nice add on if they sell an arm that holds a go pro or similar

Camera is embarrassing, looks more like a bad 720p. Maybe they plan to make a good one, since it's replaceable. Range was a surprise.

Something to note, those anemometers are not usually calibrated.

How does it fly compared to the Sjrc F11 4K Pro? If it were a choice between the two, which one should we buy?

Love this little bugger. Can't hear my DJI drone at 50 feet. I can hear this one at 300 feet and always know when it has returned.

I have a iphone 12 prop max and it will not fit in the standard clamps on control boxes. Please to tell me if there is anything I can do to right situation

This drone looks like identical to another drone called the BWine F7 probably just a rebrand that cost more ($350) in Amazon. Intresting, clearly better value buying it from your link
Pictures are much better than video. It’s hard consider this, especially if you’ve seen other drones ? Unless this is 40-50 pounds am not convinced. Thanks for your video review

Only in a magical kingdom that would work. You see, in the real world, the weather of where you are standing is not the same as the weather your local weather station has reported to UAV forecast. UAV forecast is merely an app where you set the parameters of what you'd like for when you fly and it then lets you know if any of your requests are exceeded. Is it accurate? It's better than nothing but it can only be accurate in general and not accurate as to where you are standing (i.e., are you downtown, are you in a park, are you in a farmer's field, etc).

Thats a budget drone which has a good camera quality.
4K and 15 fps is nice but not for them who chase something like other RC vehicles or want to shoot cinematic video...
It do have many interesting features like orbit, waypoints and follow me which makes it a lot better...
Max range is 3 KM which is impressive!
It is beautiful...
Overall its worth the price for beginners!

Looks like bugs 12 and mavic having a baby lol.. its good drone and the best feature is the removable camera module the downside is the 4k 15fps. I love my spark and its 1080p camera, why they didn't change the camera into 1080p 60fps or 2k 30 fps, maybe they will sell camera module with different fps separately that would be interesting..

Great review was very informative, as most I love the Drone think it has a lot of very nice features for a budget drone and yes I think the only real draw back it the 15 fps. that being the case, dose anyone know if there is an upgrade cam available for it yet??

Great review once again 😄. Though I have a question (unrelated to the review). I have the jjrc h78g drone that I bought 2 years ago. It came with one battery and that battery is damaged. Anyways, I got into many websites (gearbest,banggood etc) to see if there is any h78g batteries on sale and I didn't find any. But then I saw the jjrc x16, which is identical to the h78g drone that I own and, fortunately, there are x16 drone batteries sold separately on banggood. So here is my question. Will the battery from the x16 drone be compatible with my h78g drone?

Unfortunately I have no idea if they would work. Check to see if the voltage & mAh are the same.

DJI claims 29mins for M2P/Z, but hard to reach more than 20mins.

I think you're using your cell phone ... About the map and/or sat look(aerial) ... if a person uses a non-subscribed phone(no service),will the finger tapping still indicate a map or aerial?
If you use any device out in the field, away from WIFI or DATA then your device has no ability to get the map info.

I have noticed with using my iPhone outside on a sunny day that I have trouble seeing the phone screen . How do you get around this ?
I only buy phones with the brightest of screens. Samsung is the leader with their high end models, and Apples iPhone Pro line is good as well.

Quadcopter itself seems good (fast too); camera is sub par though with its pathetic 4K @ 15fps. Video looks choppy, especially pointed down (unwatchable imo). For the price there are better overal performing quads.

You can't drop the resolution.
Can it be flown/controlled without the phone connected?
It all depends on the app. Most budget drones under $250 US can work without a phone, but obviously you have no features or camera view then.
That is the most awkward drone to do a vertical compass calibration spin ever saw! The shape, plus the landing gear makes it nearly impossible!

I'm not making a movie, I just want good outdoor photos of the beautiful scenery. It's too bad because I thought the SIRC F7 PRO was a nice drone too bad you can't change the camera for a better 1 without compromising weight
