Just a tip for the others, when your pen is smaller, you'll have a better chance if you hold it a little more on top so there is more weight at the other end. That way you'll have way more momentum to keep it going

Picked this up in the amount of time the video ran for. I'm not fast yet but I've got it. To be fair though i was "spinning" my pencil before knowing there were proper techniques so I'm used to it moving around my fingers rapidly. Now I'm trying to learn the proper tricks and skills. tip that helped me: move your wrist and hand while you do it because it helps with momentum, you can stop doing this once you are more comfortable with it
I was wondering, I find it quite difficult to do the charge in the 2-3 finger slot. Can you do this trick using different finger slots? I can do the charge in the 1-2 finger slot much easier than I can in the 2-3 finger slot. Which was should I learn? And I understand how the charge works, but I find the "swing" difficult for me. I don't necessarily understand how it works, nor am I able to do it well.

(btw im a beginner, bought this pen and im happy with it at the moment, understood and nearly got this trick in 20min) ;)
Before you do any of this hold the pen between your figure's then with your figure's extended and try. And wiggle your fingures if the pen moves easily then move on if not loosen your grip untill its. Good
I've managed to get a singular charge going but then when I try to keep it continuous the pen just slides down out of place. It seems when I am doing my first charge my fingers are getting positioned lower on the pen. Any advice?
Yeah the same thing kept happening to me . What I did was I took a pen with a grip and shifted the grip halfway through the pen.That helped it from slipping away. Tell me if it worked.
The single charge is actually pretty easy for me, even without the thumb but the continuous seems to slip out of my hands every time I get to the second rotation
Since i learned the sonic before this my muscle memory makes me accidentally go into a sonic when trying to initiate the charge. Any help to prevent this?
If u can't do the "throwing out" part u might want to put stronger weight on the tip of your pen/pencil (i don't have a mod but this help quite a bit for people using pencils)
lol its like midnight and my pen keeps flying out of my fingers and it making a loud noise... i should probably get a proper pen because im just using my surface pen (lol very expensive) since its the closest pen to me right now and its kinda short and heavy with not much grip so you get a flying 90 dollar pen going across the room slamming into the wall with a huge pakk sound

It helped to look at the motion of the pen from frame by frame then trying to recreate the motion of the pen with the two fingers
my ring and middle fingers cant do this, whenever i try it automaticaly does the sonic trick, and i cant help it, muscle memory is a bad thing.

Kay Fuqua I saw a few other videos and they all start 1-2 slots so yeah u can start there. hope that helps.
