Was at a halloween show on mushrooms and got overwhelming feelings so I decided to leave. VR was supposed to play later and I was upset to miss him. Actually saw him on my way walking out, so it was a breath of fresh air, just told him I loved him and went home.
Kinda disappointed Devin clearly didn't care about letting Val speak or interested in listening to what he was saying and interrupted every chance he had. A literal LEGEND in the midst and a such a missed opportunity to hear a deep dive into music production and all of the knowledge Val has.
If I may defend myself a little bit here, this could also be because we usually have an itinerary of topics that we cover for the episode that we try to get to. Sometimes weaving those topics together so that we’re able to cover everything within the time we have (which we try to keep down to minimize editing costs) is challenging. Also, Val has gone on a ton of other podcasts or UA-cam channels and talked music production where those things are much more of a central theme. Our goal is to get to know the producers on more of a human level, which is why a lot of our questions centered around VR’s life and what he’s been up to. All that said, appreciate the feedback and I’ll try to be more mindful of this next time!
