Such a great album...the last couple tracks (especially 1685) really drop off for me though.

I've been playing trance probably since 1997, and while I've seen it rise and fall in popularity, it's always had a devoted following, and I still feel it's had a bigger influence over many genres of electronic music. Just look at the big "EDM" explosion 10 years ago...a lot of that took trance-like buildups and breakdowns in their own sound. I think it's cool the sound has splintered much how house music did. I tend to still enjoy 136-140BPM uplifting stuff, but there's slower "trouse", breaks, bass as you've shown, and other "emotional" kinds of music all inspired by trance. It's even cool the much has been out there so long we now have "classics"...and seeing them revamped for the modern day. Definitely an institution much like house and techno.
