Thank you for all your comments and reviewing the EX4. I am an actual user and have had it for a year as of today (6/5/21). Let me start by saying that your review is accurate with some comments. I had great expectations on the EX4 based on the reviews. Those expectations were met at some degree. However, I feel obligated to make the following comments which left me disappointed and with the impression of having a better experience should I have invested not too much more by buying from another brand. I purchased three batteries so I could enjoy longer flying trips. 1. Gimbal. Yes. It is a 3 way gimbal (tilt, pan, inclination) Tilt and Inclination work fine, as expected. Pan does not however. Panning behavior is very shaky and chunky. Do not tell me that I probably push the direction lever too hard or too fast because I tried doing it different ways. The resulting video was not pleasant. Besides, it takes too long to correct the tilting after a turn. 2. Video. I do really regret having videos recorded at 24 fps. You know that the minimum to please your retina is 29.5. This results in, again, a chunky video. Besides, although not always, there is a "jelly" effect in those videos. 3. Orbit. Yes it does work, but the maximum radius is only 5 m. I personally consider that not useful if you want to orbit an object that is bigger than a car. 30 m to 50 m would be more useful. I fact, at times I have had to orbit a house, for instance, and I have had to orbit the drone myself with the subsequently shaky video because of the gimbal behavior I mentioned in numeral 1. 4. Waypoint. Yes. It does work too as expected. However, sadly I found out that the maximum distance for waypoint 1s only 100 m which does not make any sense to me if I have a drone expected to have a range of 1,200 m. I should be able to program a waypoint around my neighborhood, for instance, not only around my block. This is to give you a practical sense of numbers and real life situations. 5. Follow me. Again Yes. This feature does work too. And Yes, there is a "however" too. I did it the first time. I had the drone follow me while I rode my bicycle. I follow me and "punched" me. However, the next time I tried to do it, it did follow me too, but this time the camera "punched" a totally random target. I wonder what the point was. 6. The batteries. After 6 months of relatively happy "Honey moon" with my drone, I started noticing that the batteries ere hard to pull off the drone for the charging cycle. What happened was that the battery slowly exploded inside the plastic battery pack and swollen it until the pack opened. Once, it happened in flight and the drone started to loose altitude at an unexpected rate. It landed almost freely by gravity. Fortunately, I realized what was happening and was able to steer it out of the lake over which it was flying. 6A. Customer Service. I submitted a complaint before Banggood with unsuccessful results: Warranty expired! I order a new battery for another USD50. That new battery also failed within two months. I submitted a complaint again, but they have not answered yet. All of this means that I ended up with a USD400 paperweight. It can not be flown anymore which would not have happened should I have purchased another brand. USD is what I invested including the extra batteries without accounting for an extra charger (USD35) 7. The App. C-Fly or Enjoy Fly. Yes It does work, but it is so limited that you have little or no control over your aircraft. The software is poorly designed and you have almost nothing to control. Besides, lets talk about updates. No updates. They are not supported by Playstore (Android). you have to download it from the apk sites with all the risk from the Internet. I am 50+ years old engineer who has been around remote controlled flying aircrafts since the 70's. I have built myself many models, trainers, stunt planes, sail planes, you name it. I do know what I am talking about. All in all, very disappointed. I have emailed them several times with no response. You get down to your own conclusions One more issue: Warranty is one month an batteries failed within 2 - 6 months!!!!!
Spot on observations regarding this drone. Have you come across a drone after this one with similar features and price that you're happy with, I no longer trust this drone?
Great review buddy, good job of covering all the features. This bird is a typical C-Fly drone (which I've reviewed a few of them), and it seems they're all about the same except for body shells!!! Have you range tested it yet??? (wifi reception & control range?) Thanks for sharing.
No, I've not range tested it yet but that's what my next video will be about. I didn't have enough time in this video to test the range because I had to get back home to get my daughter off the bus. QC101 got a KM in his review.
Great drone for the money and great review ... TIP : If you remove the props always replace them using a loctite type product on the threads otherwise check the screw tightness before every flight. I tightened mine super tight with the key but a couple of screws worked loose and I only noticed it by chance just before a flight.

Nice detailed video.You canot use some features becose zou have not loaded google maps in the JJRC App. I have JJRC X8 Cetus and litle Elfie and i notice that in all JJRC aplications the Google maps are not loaded and that is the problem.Now i hawe a DJI Mavic Mini and it is big deference between JJRC products and DJI.....
I wish one of you drone reviewers would do a 'follow-me' me test with a range of low budget drones to see which one does best. For now the Fimi A3 seems to be the best as the controller has built in GPS. I would like a smaller folding drone though. The Mavic Mini really misses out on this point. I mean if you are a hiker or biker, that's what you want. It doesn't have to have obstacle avoidance and 4k video quality. Just a nice small safe drone that follows you from a short distance.
The fimi A3 follow me does work great, I agree its the best follow me drone I own, I demonstrated the features in one of my A3 videos a few months ago and I always demo the smart features on drones I review
@@PERTHWESTOZRC Yes true. Some reviewers skip the follow-me feature completely thinking it is a gimmick. Hopefully we'll get a Fimi Mini. Makes more sense than a Mavic Mini without follow-me if you ask me.

@@driewiel lol my cg035 is lucky to hold GPS lock when it wants to, I've found follow me worked well on mine but that classic aosenma is one quirky drone that's for sure. I can't trust mine in GPS so I fly it in atti mode manually like a bugs 3 instead
I fought with this drone for 2 to 3 days determined to find the trick to calibrating it and I was ready to give up then I tried this and it WORKED for me over and over again so listen up and try this. 1: First Press the button on the back of the drone to turn it on. you now have a BLUE flashing light on the drone this is telling you it is trying to connect to the controller so turn the controller on and when it is connected the light on the drone will turn GREEN and it will be flashing NOW connect the phone to your controller. now on the phone, it should say in preparation, but your NOT ready to do the calibration yet, what until the light on the drone goes GREEN and is NOT flashing now on your phone, it should say READY-GO BUT It's NOT READY. NOW it's ready for the calibration because you have enough satellite lights only when the light goes green and not flashing. The lights on the controller are ONLY telling you what mode you're controller is in and NOT that you are connected to anything some people thought that. NOW this is what I MUST DO to get the dam thing to calibrate, the horizontal works fine every time BUT I could NOT get the vertical to work it would say it was a success but it was NOT. the drone was still in calibration mode. On the drone, it has a RED/GREEN light flashing which is vertical calibration mode. SO what to do? well, this works for me 7 out 10 times instead of never working at all. When you do the calibrate first off some apps say calibrating in blue on the phone when you see that it ISN'T tap the blue calibrating Button again until you see it say TURN THE DRONE the light on the drone will start flashing from green to red/blue I have seen some people try to calibrate it when it was NOT ready to do so. NOW when it says turn the drone horizontally do it about 3 times the light on the drone turn to RED/GREEN the horizontal calibration is dun and NOW the trick that works about 7 out of 10 times for me WHEN it tells you to put the camera up and turn it watch your phone and PUT the camera DOWN give it a quick half-turn then do it again if you don't see your phone then tell you to turn it again do another half turn but if you do see on your phone turn it again flip the Drone camera up words and then turn it two or three times. This almost works every time for me and it's the ONLY way I can get it to calibrate.
Wow i didnt realise that quad is darn loud, the JJRC X9P Heron Spark version I did the other week seemed quieter. Camera looks to be the same quality as the Heron too. Good look at it Ryan
I got one of these, the new PRO version, a couple of weeks ago. I have run into two issues that I was wondering if any of you have experienced. 1. The gimbal control on the remote. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. 2. I will be flying the thing and, all of sudden, it will start to dive to the left and crash. Can't seem to control it when that happens. When this has happened, I have been flying it near a skatepark with LED lighting. When I get close to the skatepark is when this happens. My theory is that the LED lighting may be interfering with the GPS and the EX4 gets confused. Fortunately, the skate park is next to a empty field and my uncontrolled crashes have been on soft grass. This is my first drone so I have been flying in beginner mode. If anyone has any advice or work-arounds for me, I'm all ears. Thanks for your time!
No never experienced those problems and the LED lights wouldn't interfere with the GPS signal unless there is a huge amount of RF interference. I sent my EX4 Idaho Quadcopter so I no longer have it to test anything.
I like your review of this drone alot, does it have a way to emergency cut off the motors, say, like in the chance that you get into flying difficulty or lose contro of it (like my indoor flyers do) - I'm very new to the hobby, much thanks.
I believe it has an emergency motor kill though I'm not certain. Most drones have it. You shouldn't need it though. GPS drones shouldn't get out of control.
I have a f11 pro I've haved it for about 5 months and im happy with it it's a nice drone to fiy and a good camera I also have a bugs 5w 4k and it a bit better than the f11 in the wind and the image quality is very good it filmed in 1080p 30fps and takes photos in 4k
Hi there! I had another issue where when I fly my Aurora x12, it toilet bowls really bad and the gps doesent seem to be working properly. I have good satelites(11) so I’m wondering if it might be interference? I’ve flown the jjrc F11 in the same spot and all was well. What do you think could fix it?
I may have ask you this already if I did I apologize. I can't get my batteries to charge they were working fine now neither one of them will charge up at all . I was just wondering if there was something I am doing wrong or are my batteries worn out. Please let me know if you have any ideas that might help , Thanks in advance Greg Vernon.
Sounds like the batteries have gone bad. They aren't smart batteries so they will go bad faster than smart ones because they aren't able to be stored at storage voltage.

But if you are connected to the transmitter and getting more than 150m, they must be real 👍 But when I'm thinking of my SG906 Beast, I'm connecting to the quad with 5G and still get a range of 250m for the image transmission. So there is a huge difference between EU/NA standard
Gimbal rotation and elevation are choppy and I don't believe there is any way to slow down the movement to smooth it out. The 1024 was unimpressive (average). The drone appears to fly well, but all in all at the same price point as the Hubsan Zino it pales by comparison.
Yes I am using the Enjoy-Fly app. I did try the C-Fly app and got the same results. This is being used with an IPhone 11. Looks like a nice drone if I can get everything to talk to each other.
No no android the IPhone has the correct WiFi. I did notice on another video that the app I have does not have some menu items. May be the issue not sure.
I purchased the C-Fly faith 4k today and after getting home to test it I found the photos are blurry on the left side of all photos. Has anyone had this issue? I had it with Bugs 4w4k also and returned it to purchase C-Fly faith 4k to get the same issue. Is there a fix for this image blur or should I return it too?

In your video you said phone must support 80211.ac wifi aka 5G wifi, how do you know that the phone support 80211.ac aka 5G wifi ? Or does samsung note 9 support 80211.ac aka 5G wifi ?
@@sarojlimbu1740 all new decent phones support 5G Wi-Fi. The Note definitely does. If it supports it then the Wi-Fi signal will show up in your Wi-Fi list typically with "5G" at the end of the name. Hope this helps.

@@jahman63 unfortunately I have no idea but it sounds like an issue with iOS but I know another person today said it worked fine with his iPhone. Maybe give the C-Fly or JJRC apps a try and see if either of them work. The C-Fly app should work

On paper this looks like a terrific drone, but beware. The defect rate on this drone is alarmingly high and there is no place in the US to repair them. If you buy the EX4 version, know that Banggood did not live up to its warranty declaration and will want YOU to pay for return shipping (about $55USD from US) before and exchange or refund and subject to their inspection [went through that living hell personally]. If you want a cheap drone to get your feet wet, buy a really cheap one. It's easier to throw away $100 than $200. If you want a reliable, remarkably excellent drone for its size and price, do yourself a favor and just get a Mavic Mini. Trust me. I went the EX4 route, wasted a month to get it- and another month squabbling with Banggood for return... and wish I just bought a Mini as I ultimiately did.
For those having trouble finding the "Enjoy-Fly" Android app it mysteriously disappeared from the Google Play Store so here is a direct download to the apk file (app version 1.3.7) from my Google Drive. I downloaded this from a zip file from an apk website so I've not confirmed yet that it works but it should be fine. Click this link below from your android phone and make sure in your phone settings you have "trust apps from unknown sources" (the exact wording will vary by phone) enabled. The same creators made the C-fly app. It's exactly the same which may be why they turfed Enjoy Fly. As for the orbit, hover the drone over what you want to orbit, set to orbit then you pull back on the right stick to set your radius. This way is easier than other drones that need you to manually input your height and radius before it does it. Hope this helps buddy. Once you know what the deal is with this drone, it's a great entry level drone for cinematics. Where I come from, this drone is about $200 Cheaper than the Zino Pro. Since that one came out, it's better to flip in the extra coin and avoid the original Zino. I went with the JJRC X12 over the Eachine just because I like their logo better, Eachine looks like it was done in Windows Paint. 🤣
@@RDsRCReviews Yes! That is a problem. I only knew about it from one reviewer who used it instead of Enjoy fly because they said it worked better for them. I tried finding it but could only find C-fly. Not good for new users who don't search for reviewers first. Even had to download the full user manual through the C-fly app because the drone only comes with a quick start and a list of supported channels per country. Took me a while to figure out why the drone wouldn't recognise my 128gb SD Card out of my GoPro. 😂
compare it to the Zino though which you can often get for $240. Also, I'm not sure if you can replace the props. Better more balanced props would definitely eliminate the jello.

@@RDsRCReviews I'm sure the 3 axis gimbal on the base Zino + the 30fps - will be better video but if the device is hit or miss not operating correctly and the FW updates and issues haven't been ironed out in the year it's been on the market - then honestly - for what I'm buying it for (learning first drone) I don't need to get frustrated on the quality issues. From what I've seen posted for the Zino 2 in terms of video quality - that will be a big step up from both the base Zino and the EX4....FOR THE MONEY....You really need to jump to the next level $800+ to get a material improvement vs. the Zino 2 in video/controller/flight...
Hello everyone I need help from anyone regarding two problems I have with my X4. First and big problem I can't charge the batteries by attaching a 2 Ampere charger for mobile phones and I don't understand why, the led on the charger base continues to flash red and they are not charged and consequently I find myself with the drone unusable because
It sounds like the charging cradle may be malfunctioning. Unplug the USB cable and insert a battery and then press the button and see how many lights light up. If all of them light up then the battery is full. You can also insert the battery into the drone and connect it to the app and the app will also tell you the battery power level. It is very likely the battery is charged but the cradle acts like it is still charging. Don't leave the battery on the charger for more than 5 hours. If it is charging and not turning off then it will ruin the lipo battery.
I've had this drone for 3 months now. It has been very disappointing to say the least. Here are some of the big issues: I have trouble connecting to satellites in open areas - frequent "N/A" for number of satellites. I have major "toilet bowling". The video feed on my phone is lagging several seconds up to 15 - 20 seconds. Sometimes the camera gimbal doesn't work. Major "jello" on video playback. Sometimes the video files will not open for playback. No support from JJRC. I had big hopes for this drone but regret the purchase big time.
There should be plenty of replacement parts available. I've already seen some. Remember this is also a JJRC X12 and C-fly Faith so the spare parts for them will also work for the EX4.
Yes this is really unfortunate. For some unknown reason it disappeared from the a Play Store a few days ago and no one knows why. Thankfully I believe you can use the C-Fly Faith or JJRC X12 apps. Those should work as well.
@@davidmondoux6511 I just found a link to the APK file. Try this link. Click on "download apk" and make once it is downloaded press the install button on your phone. Be sure you have "allow app from unknown sources" enabled in your phone settings or it won't install. Just figured out I needed a new phone which I now have. Needed Wifi 802.11ac. Solved that and now this. Not giving up my any means but a little reserved at this point. I'll follow any developments here and try to improve my knowledge. Really pleased that you informed me of the mysterious disappearance of Enjoy fly. I was thinking it was something again on my end! At least I can use this time to study. I'm in Canada and we need a license from the gov't to fly. We have to pass an exam on line.
I have a problem. I bought an x12 and I can't seem to couple it with my phone. My phone is google pixel android, I downloaded enjoy-fly. The drone is paired with the controller and my wifi, however, when I try to pair the controller it ends up "unconnected" and will not do a thing. I would appreciate any input anyone wants to give. Also note, my son was able to connect and fly it with an iPhone.
I suspect it is an issue with the newest Android that is running on your pixel. I see this often. They'll likely fix it eventually but for now you'll likely need to borrow your son's iPhone.
Well, some success and some not. I dug out an old iPhone, updated it and using enjoy fly, managed to get the drone in the air. Flew for about 5 minutes, the screen went black but I managed to get it down at which time the power light on the drone was blinking red. Any input will be appreciated. I thought these things were supposed to be fun. lol
No man, you can't trust Captain Drone. He creatively edits his videos and uses EIS to remove Jello. Look at Quadcopter 101's video. This drone has Jello for everyone. Also, I just want 30fps, 24 is underwhelming. When I want 60fps I just fly my EVO and film in 4k or use my mini and film in 1080@60.
Do not order from Banggood unless you just enjoy getting the run-around. I ordered an Eachine EX4 from them last month and it was the worst experience I've ever had with an online merchant. Never got the drone and now am waiting to see if they can process the refund or if I'll have to go to the CC company. They just never did what they said they would do.
I've never had a problem. While it is true that the Chinese vendors tend to be subpar, Banggood is by far the best one from my experience. Why didn't they ship it? Was it out of stock? It has been a very big seller. Did you use PayPal? Remember the EX4 is only sold by BG. You can can buy the JJRC/C-FLY versions elsewhere but it'll cost you a lot more. Best of luck!
It’s definitely an illusion due to the way the light is hitting the prop. but you can confirm the prop is seated correctly - look at the edge(s), the prop blade furthest to the left is very clearly upright. Make sure you turn quality all the way up as well.
@@RDsRCReviews Perhaps it is your lighting - reflection on the blades. 0:22 and 9:58-10:00 show what looks like an upward turned cup in the R/R blades. Flight test obviously showed a balanced craft. * Trying to figure how to get this purchase approved by the wife :0
@@crxess I use professional photography lighting but maybe the reflection from the lights caused the illusion. Good luck with convincing the wife. Iol. Just promise you to give her some extra loving. Lol.

I would disagree considering the Hubsan Zino costs nearly the same yet it has zero jello issues and can film in 4k rather than 1080@24fps. Asking for no jello in a 3 axis gimbal isn't asking for much.

1. Gimbal. Yes. It is a 3 way gimbal (tilt, pan, inclination) Tilt and Inclination work fine, as expected. Pan does not however. Panning behavior is very shaky and chunky. Do not tell me that I probably push the direction lever too hard or too fast because I tried doing it different ways. The resulting video was not pleasant. Besides, it takes too long to correct the tilting after a turn.
2. Video. I do really regret having videos recorded at 24 fps. You know that the minimum to please your retina is 29.5. This results in, again, a chunky video. Besides, although not always, there is a "jelly" effect in those videos.
3. Orbit. Yes it does work, but the maximum radius is only 5 m. I personally consider that not useful if you want to orbit an object that is bigger than a car. 30 m to 50 m would be more useful. I fact, at times I have had to orbit a house, for instance, and I have had to orbit the drone myself with the subsequently shaky video because of the gimbal behavior I mentioned in numeral 1.
4. Waypoint. Yes. It does work too as expected. However, sadly I found out that the maximum distance for waypoint 1s only 100 m which does not make any sense to me if I have a drone expected to have a range of 1,200 m. I should be able to program a waypoint around my neighborhood, for instance, not only around my block. This is to give you a practical sense of numbers and real life situations.
5. Follow me. Again Yes. This feature does work too. And Yes, there is a "however" too. I did it the first time. I had the drone follow me while I rode my bicycle. I follow me and "punched" me. However, the next time I tried to do it, it did follow me too, but this time the camera "punched" a totally random target. I wonder what the point was.
6. The batteries. After 6 months of relatively happy "Honey moon" with my drone, I started noticing that the batteries ere hard to pull off the drone for the charging cycle. What happened was that the battery slowly exploded inside the plastic battery pack and swollen it until the pack opened. Once, it happened in flight and the drone started to loose altitude at an unexpected rate. It landed almost freely by gravity. Fortunately, I realized what was happening and was able to steer it out of the lake over which it was flying.
6A. Customer Service. I submitted a complaint before Banggood with unsuccessful results: Warranty expired! I order a new battery for another USD50. That new battery also failed within two months. I submitted a complaint again, but they have not answered yet. All of this means that I ended up with a USD400 paperweight. It can not be flown anymore which would not have happened should I have purchased another brand. USD is what I invested including the extra batteries without accounting for an extra charger (USD35)
7. The App. C-Fly or Enjoy Fly. Yes It does work, but it is so limited that you have little or no control over your aircraft. The software is poorly designed and you have almost nothing to control. Besides, lets talk about updates. No updates. They are not supported by Playstore (Android). you have to download it from the apk sites with all the risk from the Internet.
I am 50+ years old engineer who has been around remote controlled flying aircrafts since the 70's. I have built myself many models, trainers, stunt planes, sail planes, you name it. I do know what I am talking about.
All in all, very disappointed. I have emailed them several times with no response. You get down to your own conclusions
One more issue: Warranty is one month an batteries failed within 2 - 6 months!!!!!
Agreed on all your points! It is a decent front but a year and a half later there are now better similarly priced drones with gimbals.
Spot on observations regarding this drone. Have you come across a drone after this one with similar features and price that you're happy with, I no longer trust this drone?

I have the JJRC X12 And it's one of the easiest to fly! Great picture as well as video.

Great drone for the money and great review ... TIP : If you remove the props always replace them using a loctite type product on the threads otherwise check the screw tightness before every flight. I tightened mine super tight with the key but a couple of screws worked loose and I only noticed it by chance just before a flight.

I wish one of you drone reviewers would do a 'follow-me' me test with a range of low budget drones to see which one does best. For now the Fimi A3 seems to be the best as the controller has built in GPS. I would like a smaller folding drone though. The Mavic Mini really misses out on this point. I mean if you are a hiker or biker, that's what you want. It doesn't have to have obstacle avoidance and 4k video quality. Just a nice small safe drone that follows you from a short distance.
The fimi A3 follow me does work great, I agree its the best follow me drone I own, I demonstrated the features in one of my A3 videos a few months ago and I always demo the smart features on drones I review

I fought with this drone for 2 to 3 days determined to find the trick to
calibrating it and I was ready to give up then I tried this and it
WORKED for me over and over again so listen up and try this. 1: First
Press the button on the back of the drone to turn it on. you now have a
BLUE flashing light on the drone this is telling you it is trying to
connect to the controller so turn the controller on and when it is
connected the light on the drone will turn GREEN and it will be flashing
NOW connect the phone to your controller. now on the phone, it should
say in preparation, but your NOT ready to do the calibration
yet, what until the light on the drone goes GREEN and is NOT flashing
now on your phone, it should say READY-GO BUT It's NOT READY. NOW it's
ready for the calibration
because you have enough satellite lights only when the light goes green
and not flashing. The lights on the controller are ONLY telling you
what mode you're controller is in and NOT that you are connected to
anything some people thought that. NOW this is what I MUST DO to get the
dam thing to calibrate, the horizontal works fine every time BUT I
could NOT get the vertical to work it would say it was a success but it
was NOT. the drone was still in calibration mode. On the drone, it has a
RED/GREEN light flashing which is vertical calibration mode. SO what to
do? well, this works for me 7 out 10 times instead of never working at
all. When you do the calibrate first off some apps say calibrating in
blue on the phone when you see that it ISN'T tap the blue calibrating
Button again until you see it say TURN THE DRONE the light on the drone
will start flashing from green to red/blue I have seen some people try
to calibrate it when it was NOT ready to do so. NOW when it says turn the
drone horizontally do it about 3 times the light on the drone turn to
RED/GREEN the horizontal calibration
is dun and NOW the trick that works about 7 out of 10 times for me WHEN
it tells you to put the camera up and turn it watch your phone and PUT
the camera DOWN give it a quick half-turn then do it again if you don't
see your phone then tell you to turn it again do another half turn but
if you do see on your phone turn it again flip the Drone camera up

me and it's the ONLY way I can get it to calibrate.

I got one of these, the new PRO version, a couple of weeks ago. I have run into two issues that I was wondering if any of you have experienced. 1. The gimbal control on the remote. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. 2. I will be flying the thing and, all of sudden, it will start to dive to the left and crash. Can't seem to control it when that happens. When this has happened, I have been flying it near a skatepark with LED lighting. When I get close to the skatepark is when this happens. My theory is that the LED lighting may be interfering with the GPS and the EX4 gets confused. Fortunately, the skate park is next to a empty field and my uncontrolled crashes have been on soft grass. This is my first drone so I have been flying in beginner mode. If anyone has any advice or work-arounds for me, I'm all ears. Thanks for your time!
No never experienced those problems and the LED lights wouldn't interfere with the GPS signal unless there is a huge amount of RF interference. I sent my EX4 Idaho Quadcopter so I no longer have it to test anything.
I like your review of this drone alot, does it have a way to emergency cut off the motors, say, like in the chance that you get into flying difficulty or lose contro of it (like my indoor flyers do) - I'm very new to the hobby, much thanks.
I believe it has an emergency motor kill though I'm not certain. Most drones have it. You shouldn't need it though. GPS drones shouldn't get out of control.
What about the micro SD card, mine does not recognice it (128gb) are there any card specifications for this drone? Thank you
128GB is likely too large. Try a 32GB or smaller instead.

Hi there! I had another issue where when I fly my Aurora x12, it toilet bowls really bad and the gps doesent seem to be working properly. I have good satelites(11) so I’m wondering if it might be interference? I’ve flown the jjrc F11 in the same spot and all was well. What do you think could fix it?
Hmm, have to tried recalibrating the compass away from anything metal? TBE is always caused by bad compass offsets.

Sounds like the batteries have gone bad. They aren't smart batteries so they will go bad faster than smart ones because they aren't able to be stored at storage voltage.

But when I'm thinking of my SG906 Beast, I'm connecting to the quad with 5G and still get a range of 250m for the image transmission. So there is a huge difference between EU/NA standard
Gimbal rotation and elevation are choppy and I don't believe there is any way to slow down the movement to smooth it out. The 1024 was unimpressive (average). The drone appears to fly well, but all in all at the same price point as the Hubsan Zino it pales by comparison.

That's common for all of these newer foldable drones. They all sit so close to the ground. Maybe try hand launching but be very careful.

Yes I am using the Enjoy-Fly app. I did try the C-Fly app and got the same results. This is being used with an IPhone 11. Looks like a nice drone if I can get everything to talk to each other.

No no android the IPhone has the correct WiFi. I did notice on another video that the app I have does not have some menu items. May be the issue not sure.

I purchased the C-Fly faith 4k today and after getting home to test it I found the photos are blurry on the left side of all photos. Has anyone had this issue? I had it with Bugs 4w4k also and returned it to purchase C-Fly faith 4k to get the same issue. Is there a fix for this image blur or should I return it too?

@@sarojlimbu1740 all new decent phones support 5G Wi-Fi. The Note definitely does. If it supports it then the Wi-Fi signal will show up in your Wi-Fi list typically with "5G" at the end of the name. Hope this helps.

Yep, iPhone will work perfect. IPhone 7 has 5G Wi-Fi which is what you need. Be sure to connect to the controller's Wi-Fi and not the drone.

@@jahman63 unfortunately I have no idea but it sounds like an issue with iOS but I know another person today said it worked fine with his iPhone. Maybe give the C-Fly or JJRC apps a try and see if either of them work. The C-Fly app should work

The drone does not know what is between the controller and itself so it goes up to a safe altitude before it heads home. Most drones do this.
On paper this looks like a terrific drone, but beware. The defect rate on this drone is alarmingly high and there is no place in the US to repair them. If you buy the EX4 version, know that Banggood did not live up to its warranty declaration and will want YOU to pay for return shipping (about $55USD from US) before and exchange or refund and subject to their inspection [went through that living hell personally]. If you want a cheap drone to get your feet wet, buy a really cheap one. It's easier to throw away $100 than $200. If you want a reliable, remarkably excellent drone for its size and price, do yourself a favor and just get a Mavic Mini. Trust me. I went the EX4 route, wasted a month to get it- and another month squabbling with Banggood for return... and wish I just bought a Mini as I ultimiately did.

For those having trouble finding the "Enjoy-Fly" Android app it mysteriously disappeared from the Google Play Store so here is a direct download to the apk file (app version 1.3.7) from my Google Drive. I downloaded this from a zip file from an apk website so I've not confirmed yet that it works but it should be fine. Click this link below from your android phone and make sure in your phone settings you have "trust apps from unknown sources" (the exact wording will vary by phone) enabled. The same creators made the C-fly app. It's exactly the same which may be why they turfed Enjoy Fly. As for the orbit, hover the drone over what you want to orbit, set to orbit then you pull back on the right stick to set your radius. This way is easier than other drones that need you to manually input your height and radius before it does it. Hope this helps buddy. Once you know what the deal is with this drone, it's a great entry level drone for cinematics. Where I come from, this drone is about $200 Cheaper than the Zino Pro. Since that one came out, it's better to flip in the extra coin and avoid the original Zino. I went with the JJRC X12 over the Eachine just because I like their logo better, Eachine looks like it was done in Windows Paint. 🤣

@@RDsRCReviews Yes! That is a problem. I only knew about it from one reviewer who used it instead of Enjoy fly because they said it worked better for them. I tried finding it but could only find C-fly. Not good for new users who don't search for reviewers first. Even had to download the full user manual through the C-fly app because the drone only comes with a quick start and a list of supported channels per country. Took me a while to figure out why the drone wouldn't recognise my 128gb SD Card out of my GoPro. 😂

It could be just me but for 200$ that is amazing video quality... I mean damn I was thinking it would be all washed out and it looks quite good.
compare it to the Zino though which you can often get for $240. Also, I'm not sure if you can replace the props. Better more balanced props would definitely eliminate the jello.

@@RDsRCReviews I'm sure the 3 axis gimbal on the base Zino + the 30fps - will be better video but if the device is hit or miss not operating correctly and the FW updates and issues haven't been ironed out in the year it's been on the market - then honestly - for what I'm buying it for (learning first drone) I don't need to get frustrated on the quality issues. From what I've seen posted for the Zino 2 in terms of video quality - that will be a big step up from both the base Zino and the EX4....FOR THE MONEY....You really need to jump to the next level $800+ to get a material improvement vs. the Zino 2 in video/controller/flight...

I need help from anyone regarding two problems I have with my X4.
First and big problem I can't charge the batteries by attaching a 2 Ampere charger for mobile phones and I don't understand why, the led on the charger base continues to flash red and they are not charged and consequently I find myself with the drone unusable because
It sounds like the charging cradle may be malfunctioning. Unplug the USB cable and insert a battery and then press the button and see how many lights light up. If all of them light up then the battery is full. You can also insert the battery into the drone and connect it to the app and the app will also tell you the battery power level. It is very likely the battery is charged but the cradle acts like it is still charging. Don't leave the battery on the charger for more than 5 hours. If it is charging and not turning off then it will ruin the lipo battery.
I've had this drone for 3 months now. It has been very disappointing to say the least. Here are some of the big issues: I have trouble connecting to satellites in open areas - frequent "N/A" for number of satellites. I have major "toilet bowling". The video feed on my phone is lagging several seconds up to 15 - 20 seconds. Sometimes the camera gimbal doesn't work. Major "jello" on video playback. Sometimes the video files will not open for playback. No support from JJRC. I had big hopes for this drone but regret the purchase big time.
I didn't experience any of those issues but many others have so you're not alone. Sucks

There should be plenty of replacement parts available. I've already seen some. Remember this is also a JJRC X12 and C-fly Faith so the spare parts for them will also work for the EX4.
I have the Eachine EX 4 but I cannot find the "Enjoy Fly" app anywhere on Google.....Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks !
Yes this is really unfortunate. For some unknown reason it disappeared from the a Play Store a few days ago and no one knows why. Thankfully I believe you can use the C-Fly Faith or JJRC X12 apps. Those should work as well.

@@davidmondoux6511 I just found a link to the APK file. Try this link. Click on "download apk" and make once it is downloaded press the install button on your phone. Be sure you have "allow app from unknown sources" enabled in your phone settings or it won't install. Just figured out I needed a new phone which I now have. Needed Wifi 802.11ac. Solved that and now this. Not giving up my any means but a little reserved at this point. I'll follow any developments here and try to improve my knowledge. Really pleased that you informed me of the mysterious disappearance of Enjoy fly. I was thinking it was something again on my end! At least I can use this time to study. I'm in Canada and we need a license from the gov't to fly. We have to pass an exam on line.

I have a problem. I bought an x12 and I can't seem to couple it with my phone. My phone is google pixel android, I downloaded enjoy-fly. The drone is paired with the controller and my wifi, however, when I try to pair the controller it ends up "unconnected" and will not do a thing. I would appreciate any input anyone wants to give. Also note, my son was able to connect and fly it with an iPhone.
I suspect it is an issue with the newest Android that is running on your pixel. I see this often. They'll likely fix it eventually but for now you'll likely need to borrow your son's iPhone.

Well, some success and some not. I dug out an old iPhone, updated it and using enjoy fly, managed to get the drone in the air. Flew for about 5 minutes, the screen went black but I managed to get it down at which time the power light on the drone was blinking red. Any input will be appreciated. I thought these things were supposed to be fun. lol

No man, you can't trust Captain Drone. He creatively edits his videos and uses EIS to remove Jello. Look at Quadcopter 101's video. This drone has Jello for everyone. Also, I just want 30fps, 24 is underwhelming. When I want 60fps I just fly my EVO and film in 4k or use my mini and film in 1080@60.

and now am waiting to see if they can process the refund or if I'll have
to go to the CC company. They just never did what they said they would
do.
I've never had a problem. While it is true that the Chinese vendors tend to be subpar, Banggood is by far the best one from my experience. Why didn't they ship it? Was it out of stock? It has been a very big seller. Did you use PayPal? Remember the EX4 is only sold by BG. You can can buy the JJRC/C-FLY versions elsewhere but it'll cost you a lot more. Best of luck!
9:22 - anyone notice the (R) Rear blade is upside down?
Not going to be a stable flyer that way.
That's impossible. If the blade is upside down the drone won't fly. It would flip over instead of flying.
I just looked for fun and there is definitely no prop on upside down. It must have been an illusion.
It’s definitely an illusion due to the way the light is hitting the prop. but you can confirm the prop is seated correctly - look at the edge(s), the prop blade furthest to the left is very clearly upright. Make sure you turn quality all the way up as well.
@@RDsRCReviews Perhaps it is your lighting - reflection on the blades. 0:22 and 9:58-10:00 show what looks like an upward turned cup in the R/R blades.
Flight test obviously showed a balanced craft.

@@crxess I use professional photography lighting but maybe the reflection from the lights caused the illusion. Good luck with convincing the wife. Iol. Just promise you to give her some extra loving. Lol.

Way to critical for an inexpensive drone
I would disagree considering the Hubsan Zino costs nearly the same yet it has zero jello issues and can film in 4k rather than 1080@24fps. Asking for no jello in a 3 axis gimbal isn't asking for much.

I fought with this drone for 2 to 3 days determined to find the trick to
calibrating it and I was ready to give up then I tried this and it
WORKED for me over and over again so listen up and try this. 1: First
Press the button on the back of the drone to turn it on. you now have a
BLUE flashing light on the drone this is telling you it is trying to
connect to the controller so turn the controller on and when it is
connected the light on the drone will turn GREEN and it will be flashing
NOW connect the phone to your controller. now on the phone, it should
say in preparation, but your NOT ready to do the calibration
yet, what until the light on the drone goes GREEN and is NOT flashing
now on your phone, it should say READY-GO BUT It's NOT READY. NOW it's
ready for the calibration
because you have enough satellite lights only when the light goes green
and not flashing. The lights on the controller are ONLY telling you
what mode you're controller is in and NOT that you are connected to
anything some people thought that. NOW this is what I MUST DO to get the
dam thing to calibrate, the horizontal works fine every time BUT I
could NOT get the vertical to work it would say it was a success but it
was NOT. the drone was still in calibration mode. On the drone, it has a
RED/GREEN light flashing which is vertical calibration mode. SO what to
do? well, this works for me 7 out 10 times instead of never working at
all. When you do the calibrate first off some apps say calibrating in
blue on the phone when you see that it ISN'T tap the blue calibrating
Button again until you see it say TURN THE DRONE the light on the drone
will start flashing from green to red/blue I have seen some people try
to calibrate it when it was NOT ready to do so. NOW when it says turn the
drone horizontally do it about 3 times the light on the drone turn to
RED/GREEN the horizontal calibration
is dun and NOW the trick that works about 7 out of 10 times for me WHEN
it tells you to put the camera up and turn it watch your phone and PUT
the camera DOWN give it a quick half-turn then do it again if you don't
see your phone then tell you to turn it again do another half turn but
if you do see on your phone turn it again flip the phone camera up
words and then turn it two or three times. This almost works every time for
me and it's the ONLY way I can get it to calibrate.
I had no troubles calibrating the EX4 so why should listen to this? Thanks though as maybe your comment will help someone that does.
