Didn’t become a fan until 2004 when I was 12. I wish I could go back and see a concert in the Iowa era. 😔
I was born in 92 so I was 9-10 that time but yeah man it sucks. Just need to be glad I was born prior and got to grow up with them.
Sic Maggot CoreyTheHeretic Damn man. I missed some good times but I’m glad I got into them when I did. Was fortunate enough to see them live on Gray Chapter tour and going again on this Knotfest tour end of August.

why in IOWA era there are note pro filmed concerts of slipknot? I mean there are 3 and 2 of them are incomplete : 2001 summer sonic japan and another one. The only one complete is Disasterpiece.. such a shame. Their best era of performance
It was a very short tour for a number of reasons.

There are pro shots but where are they who knows... there are many audiences recording like this one where you see pro cameras all around the stage, so the footage does exist

Alen Vidović He has matured as a person for sure. As awesome as this era Corey was and still is, it was quite a dark place in time for him probably the most out of anyone in the group.
It did take him a good while to get out it into the Vol 3 era which is good cause man, he could of been another musician tragedy if we think about it.
His voice isn’t the same like here that’s for sure but it’s still fairly strong which is something considering how long he’s been at the stage of screaming his heart out.
@@NWOWCW4Life1 yup, listen to disasterpieces or p=s from Mystic festival. It's like reealy close to this voice, I'd say 90% similar.
people know that corey can't have the same voice after 15+ years regardless of vocal damage, what they probably mean by that is that he has the same rasp, "flavour", and power now that he did in 2001-2002
Yeah I mean he sounds a lot better now than he has in a while, but nowhere near this good. Which is fine cause that’s impossible. I’m sick of seeing comments saying he sounds Iowa era good. Idk if that’s what you were talking about tho lol
You’re fucking high Corey has sounded the same for the most part since 2010. Very minor differences most notably when he does too many shows in a row and when he quit smoking.

Was there with the iowa tour in heineken music hall in amsterdam a insane performance was the day after they did the iowa opening when the where drunk! Hope you can collect him i went to 10 concerts but iowa still stands on nr 1 of my live experiences, thank you for youre uploads there fucking amazing

JameX Martinez Ugaz Yup. I believe the exact date was January 29, 2002 in Hamburg, Germany. According to a setlist website, they played it for like 30 minutes and Corey messed up the lyrics a bunch cause he was so drunk.

JameX Martinez Ugaz Look up “Slipknot setlist”, click the first website (I think it’s something like setlists.com), then go back to January of 2002 and look for yourself. I believe it was the 29th. Should be the first song on the setlist.

@@xitoroman me saying that this has better audio that disasterpieces is me exaggerating obviously. But i don’t know if it’s the Mix or the recording of the DVD but, in my opinion there are some instruments that you can’t appreciate well. The sound it’s a little bit all over the place. It’s like a wall of sound, that obviously Is natural in a band like slipknot, specially in those days, but I don’t know. I got that DVD 20 years ago, and it blew my mind, but I thought that at that time and I still do. The mix could have been a lot more better.

I ask you that because I share the same feeling as you. Whenever I listen to bootlegs or proshots, I feel that the sound (of the instruments in general), sounds much much more brutal then the disasterpieces dvd. I feel like you can feel the drums, the weight of corey and the guitars where it should be. I feel like the disasterpieces dvd gives a lot of light to coreys vocals which is great but in general it feels too much produced, it feels like a plastic sound or flat. Do you like rammstein? I can make the same comparission, if you listen to the live at max - amsterdam 1997 concert both guitars sounds very very heavy, and thesoundscape feels extremely overwelming. Then you listen to the live aus berlin dvd which is great show, you notice that it is too much produce, which takes alway the rawness of a live concert. I really hope that this comment reaches you and I would love to hear your take on it :) thanks
