Video @ 9:32 - “the slight underexposure” - Just add a translucent slightly grey tiny piece of material in front of the photocell just below the lens. - This forces the meter to adjust by adding more exposure to the film. Many camera manufacturers use this method for adjusting the metering on their fully automated P&S’s…
Thank you so much for the suggestion! It is a very simple solution I had never considered! It makes sense as many super 8 cameras do something similar. I'll have to try it out!
A very worthwhile sorting out and comparison, thanks. I have the T which I purchased in a charity shop about 10 years ago for $4.95. Its a fine performer but being a photog from the 60s, I can't get past its cheap plasticy feel.
Hello and thank you so much for the comment! I truly appreciate it. If I had access to another T series camera I would have loved to include it but I hope that those looking at the T2 or others in the series can find the video informative. That's a great find considering I saw one the other day for about 200 US here at a used camera shop. Haha the build quality of compacts is an interesting compromise in their heyday and now, some of them offer so much potential but as time goes by they are less repairable and break more easily compared to just about any camera from the 60s. It is a topic I have been meaning to explore in more detail on the channel, thank you so much for reminding me of it!
great material. the us naming confuses, cause i recognize the cameras by the t-names, not the scope/proof. good that you put the miniatures besides the photos. thx
Hello and thank you for the comment I really appreciate it! The T series is a little difficult to talk about because of the naming. T3 and T5 are much easier to distinguish but then it might confuse a view that is learning about these for the first time as the name on the camera is different. I tried to make it as clear as possible, but maybe this comparison is more suited for a written article haha thank you for the support!
