The easiest way to put the peel ply on before rolling is to rub it down with a scrap piece of peel ply. This should help speed up your laminating. Keep up the good work
I am learning so much from watching your channel. Please keep posting these entertaining and informative videos. You both seem to have adapted to the demands of fiberglassing and videoing so well.
😊 that’s very kind of you, but please don’t use our experiences as your only source of information to do fiberglass, we really don’t know what we are doing! 😅
I enjoy sharing your project of discovery. There is so much to learn what to do and then so much to learn how to do it! You two have the ideal approach to the project (at least on camera! 😁) which is refreshing. Thanks and good luck!
Haaa☺️ that very kind of you. We try our best to make the best editing that we can, that’s why we only manage two videos per month. 😅 we are glad that you enjoyed and that you are sharing, that helps us. Thank you 🙏
I just wanted to say, thank you for sharing your journey, may the fare winds be at your back & the sun in your face. Remember, the greatest of things, are achieved with a light heart ❤️❤❤
Peel ply certainly looks like a miracle worker 😃 I probably need to work my way thru your earlier videos, but why are you adding more fibreglass to the hull ? Do you need to do the same to the other hull to balance it ? 😃🍻
@@sailingjoa If your laminate is sagging, it's too wet. If thickened resin/epoxy is sagging it needs more filler. Resin rich schedules can get brittle over time
And here is a useless comment to run the algorithms.😅
Thanks 🙏 that is actually very helpful 🤗

Thanks 🙏 that is very helpful advice. We definitely shall try it🤗
Nice to seeing you making head way, good luck getting her ready for playing in the waves.
Thanks 🙏 let’s see how much longer it will take for this to be ready to be in the water, what can be done in the water will be done in the water!😊

Yayyy! Welcome to the peel ply team!! 💪🏼

There is only one way to describe a mosquito. And you nailed it.
😅😂

Thank you ☺️ 🙏
Can't wait for future episodes, keep it up guys!!

When you said "mother f**kin mosquito" I hit subscribe! Enjoying the project!
Colorful language is funny 😁 welcome to our small channel 🤗
You two work so well together, peel ply was a great addition to the fibre glassing process, you becoming very professional now, good luck!
Thanks 🙏 just don’t use our videos as how-to to anything 😅😂😂😂
@@sailingjoa pahahahaha, I would do no better job than you two :-)
you can wear several gloves over eachother when you need "clean" hands pull one layer off
🤯 so simple!!!! Thanks 🙏

No! Just this one, some previous owner did osmosis treatment and took our allot of fiberglass, so the bow was paper thin. 😅
@@sailingjoa that makes sense 😃

See Sailing seabirds visit from the next yard ...they demonstrate the problem .. and yes very much a must do job.
@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665 correct 😊
I was wondering if you will reinforce the hull of the 2nd float with stratification/lamination ?
On the second hull there is no evidence of any damage or anything wrong whatsoever, so we will keep it as it is 😅 some good news ☺️
'Well done ' idles 🎵 song
❤ good job
Thanks 🙏
After you splash, where will you sail her?
We still don’t know! Let’s see if she will float first and after we can make plans 😅
Peel ply is just a very expensive way to get a mechanical bond between layers
That is correct! We were having problems keeping the fiberglass not to sag in the bow, we tried it and it helped to keep it in place🤗

good stuff! please get a [better] mic
Yes, we had one, but it fell once and it broke! 😔
