Spent a lot of time in Ormskirk through work in the 1970s and early 80s. Lovely quaint town with historic character. Ironically like neighbouring Liverpool opted to pedestrianize their main shopping areas for peoples comfort, and years later shops are vacant, footfall is lost and fewer people are around. Liverpool Church Street once its main thoroughfare looks sad, when I visited Ormskirk a few years ago the clip at 21.00 showed some units empty and a bit run down. That image with the outdoor market shows progress often shows little improvement

The Mill at 13.37 where is that? Any old photos of Colinmander Gardens as I believe a mill was around that area. I would have loved captions on the images but enjoyed looking at them. Kia Ora from New Zealand 🇳🇿 lived in Ormskirk for 31 years though. 🙃

Aughton Moss Mill (also know as Wimbrick Mill), Aughton, early 1900s.
This Mill stood on Aughton Brow, on what is now Colinmander Gardens. Ormskirk Parish Church can be seen in the distance to the left.

Soldiers and nurses outside Ward 6, Ormskirk Hospital, WW2.
The houses on Wigan Road can be seen in the back ground.

Land where Furness Avenue is now sited, looking south east. The row of houses behind the long shed is Elm Place, and the two detached houses to the right of Elm Place are sited on the path from Brook Lane to Dyers Lane before the tunnel under the railway. The raised fields in the background are the back of Alty's Lane towards New lane Aughton.

I love that my grandads name is featured in the end but he's called Derek not David

The David Orritt mentioned in the end credits is from Daisy Lane, Lathom and an author of several local books
