A lot of cyclists forfeit their 1.5m overtake room in my area :>, You get what you give.

Cyclists 2 abreast mean you can't overtake them within the distance you are supposted to allow when passing. Do so and the odds are PC PLOD will see you and reward you with a fine..
Both cyclist are in the wrong gear(s).. this might explain why they can't cycle safely on roads 😂
Re your experiment with the phone toting numpy. Red and amber means stop. Green means go if the way is clear. A pedestrian is at the top of the priority ladder. To say you broke the law intentionally to see what would happen probably wouldn't stand up in court.
If cyclists nowadays learned how to ride without wobbling, they wouldn't NEED 1.5 metres.

I think the driving in the U.K. is getting worse I was driving it Manchester yesterday in a 40 mph speed limit road with number of speed cameras
The road is went from 3 to 4 lanes I had a range rover on my back side has I wanted to get it to the left lane for the roundabout coming up but the guy in the Range Rover put it foot down and under took my so I looked it my mirror and some one was coming up on the inside again so indicated and went into the left lane but the guy blew the horn at me because he at to break and was upset because he couldn’t pass on the inside I was travelling at 40 mph he must of been doing 50mph why people don’t think the speed limit does not apply to them I don’t no i think I going tho buy a stem tractor engine and rally piss every one off I ham retired and now have all the time in the world to get from A to B
My wife has just completed a "speed awareness" course with the local constabulary and was told that in the case you illustrated from around 6 minutes, "undertaking" is allowed, where the traffic to the right is slower than you. "As long as you don't cut in front of them into the lane they occupy", you may undertake. Curious!
I think it’s more about “staying in the left hand lane all the time the lane ahead is clear” . The Highway Code says “ always keep left” (unless you are approaching an obstacle) in that lane…..

2:55 funnily enough you definitely could have had the Pontiac Firebird. Those things are infamously slow for their looks and engine size. 6.6L V8 with only 200bhp 😂 0-60 takes about 8 seconds.
No front plates on sports cars. Surrey Road Policing Unit are regularly uploading stops on X, formerly Twitter. They also issue TORs to lane hoggers.

2:40. A very nice 1977 Pontiac Trans-am, might even be the Firebird model but without the signage I can only guess which is a pity. It`s also a bit of a gas-guzzler so you wouldn`t want to race around the countryside doing a "Smokey and The Bandit" with the local Sheriff. 3:34. A flash-git in his 2018 Lamborghini, I don`t know what it is with Lambo`s but they don`t seem to provide any space for the front number plate to be fitted n any of their models these days.
I am a motorist and a cyclist; so have no particular axe to grind! The way these two are cycling two abreast makes a mockery of the 1.5 metre rule regarding cars passing cyclists. Various cars have passed going in the opposite direction at much closer than 1.5m to the outside biker and by definition would probably cause more injury to that cyclist than a vehicle travelling in the same direction if they were to make contact! LDC can't pass them because of this rule but the bikers don't appear to have a problem with the 1.5m being broken by on coming traffic?! To me this is a serious 'flaw' in this rule?!
The 1.5 metre rule is for vehicles overtaking cyclists. Cyclists can see oncoming vehicles approaching, which reduces risk.

In my job I used to have to use the M40 once every week to travel from Brum to London and the inside lane was always empty 90% of the journey so I just stayed in it doing the legal limit. I never found out why it was like that?

I have a theory that BMW, Merc and Audi drivers did their driver training on bikes that's how they developed colour blindness at lights and claim ownership of all lanes on the road and the use of hatched markings to overtake

So it would be fair to argue that you are simply passing slower traffic to your right. You are not changing your lane to do so.
You are simply keeping up with traffic i.e. the speed limit.
I know it is not a good idea to do so, and you really need to be ready for the cars to move left without looking if you do so.
There’s such a lot of wise words said in these videos that I would like to show my youngest grandkids (whom are just beginning to ride autonomously) - but the disgusting language is just too rich for their ears at the moment. I’m a bit surprised UA-cam is allowing it….

You are allowed to overtake on the left if the lane to your right is going slower than you are, speed limit permitting.
The cyclist riding while holding a phone is a no-no for me! I wear open earphones phones so can gear my surroundings and my hands are always on the handle bars.

5:30 onwards. I still don't understand your fixation with undertaking. OK, it's possible the rules are different in GB compared to IE but here one of the exceptions for undertaking is when the traffic in the outer lane is travelling slower than you. As long as you're not exceeding the speed limit I honestly don't see how you're doing anything illegal by passing vehicles in outer lanes who are, in my opinion, driving without due care and attention and possibly even in a dangerous manner

The law needs to be changed so cyclists can only ride single file. Riding side by side is a traffic hazard and causes unnecessary traffic congestion and creates an unsafe condition for the cyclists and other road users. Cyclists should be licensed and their bicycle registered and insured.

Regarding the selfish cyclists: perhaps the cammer ought not to drive an electric car - - - - they can't hear it behind them!! At first I thought that they were so ignorant as to not look round when they could hear a vehicle behing them, and then perhaps move over; but, an electris car might be inaudible to them. If middle lane hoggers don't wanna move in and your maintaining a perfectly legal speed limit and you can't overtake because the hogger is creating congestion in his lane then you can carry on as intended so long as its safe to do so. If he pulls in and hits you it's careless driving on his behalf.
It is still undertaking. Undertaking is the act in which a motorist passes a slower moving vehicle on its left-hand side. And the Highway Code (rule 268) says "Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake", so both are technically against the rules.
The only exception is: "In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. I am afraid this didn't apply here as there was no congestion (apart from the line of lane 2 hoggers) and no traffic in his lane he was keeping up with. Although I am not gonna lie, I would do the same.

Electric car or not, cyclists should be aware of their surroundings it doesn’t take much to check over your shoulder every so often, the cyclist on the right was certainly not aware of his surroundings which is why he would be considered selfish, not all cyclists are bad but we only see the bad ones on UA-cam, I am afraid one of the worst is a pompous self righteous cyclists who travels to a certain studio in London to present a radio show, he is on his bike to catch out as many cars and vans on the road, he looks for trouble and makes a situation worse by his behaviour, obnoxious self righteous people like him think they are the only ones who are correct, he should be banned from the road for his and other road users safety.

It never bothers me. my phone can be in my pocket but it still connects to the vehicle hands free.I can answer calls or make calls without ever seeing my phone. Just like talking to a passenger.

I’m a keen rider since joining the Cyclists Touring Club of Great Britain ( CTC) in 1968. - I didn’t see either of those riders regularly checking what was behind them. They really don’t know how to ride safely.

I cycle a lot and agree that that cyclist should have let you through. I think those cyclist especially the one in blue is totally ignorant! I always shoulder check, because of wind noise, but in this case those cyclists were not riding fast and chatting.

Those two cyclists show the attitude of a lot of people in the UK, who think because you may be allowed to do something you should.

If you can afford to run a supercar then you can afford the occasional fine (upto £1,000) you get for missing licence plate. They are proposals to also add three points to your license but it isn't law yet.

It's a bit of a myth about EVs being completely silent, they aren't. There's quite substantial tyre noise, I certainly hear EVs behind me both walking and cycling.

You were in the wrong there. You started moving when it was orange and red, which is proceed if the crossing is clear and it's safe to do so; he was already in the crossing at that point. You shouldn't have moved.
Even a green signal requires you to assess if it's safe and pedestrians still crossing have right of way(as the more vulnerable party).
The idiot shouldn't be on his phone while crossing, but this very much feels like two people in the wrong arguing the other is at fault for a situation that needed two people at fault to happen.

Well spotted scragar. LDC is a repeat offender for moving off when red and amber - which still means stop. And green, as you rightly say, means go only if it is clear - which it wasn't.
Yeah, LDC is correct most of the time but I wouldn't have pulled away there. All it takes it the bloke to walk into the car claim an injury and then it's a load of hassle.

When i end up behind cyclists riding like those two numpties, i tend to give a short blip of the horn so they know i am there. After passing (whenever it is safe) i then tap the hazards as a thank you. It works every time if you are nice, and give plenty of space while overtaking.
With horses, i slow right down and keep my distance. When the rider waves for me to pass, i do it slowly and either wave back, or again, tap the hazards as a thank you.
