I've tried over 50 times at this point. Every single time, I die on the part w/o floor, right after those things that spout in 4 directions arrive. I'm already fine at pogo'ing, but their fireballs still hit me even when their bodies don't. And the turn with the mantis always manages to take off a few HP. Using charged attack is impossible to aim and perfectly control because my thumb already hurts. It makes me furious that every single time I die, I have to do everything before it all over again. I can consistently get through everything leading up to that part, but it's still stressful, hard on the thumb, and long af. Wouldn't say The Radiance is easier than this, but it's definitely more fair.
I think this is hard because of how God damn mad it makes me got radiance on 10th try but this I can see taking months just to get past the spiky floor part
I’ve made it as far as the part where the spikes are still on the floor but the ceiling is lowered to almost nothing. At that point, the time I’ve spent on the wall had taken away most of my health, so there was nothing to do but cry and die.
I died at least 50 times in the same spot, like most other people. What completely changed it for me is knowing enemy spawn points, while having Nailmaster’s Glory and Sharp Shadow equipped. The Great Slash wrecks everything if you charge up and attack as enemies enter the arena- especially asspids. Sharp Shadow is for the floor/spikes wave in particular. My early builds included Quick Focus and soul gaining charms for the longest time- but you eventually realize that there’s plenty of time to heal without Quick Focus if you time things correctly. Commenting on this a year later, I hope you beat it!
After trying for literal DAYS. Laying the game aside for over a year. And starting it up again 3 days ago, again trying for days. FINALLY I GOT IT!! Thank you!!
And thats just the collosseum, the game is full of adventure and your goal is to upgrade your nail, increase your health, collect special abilities and tools to help u along the way to fight the infection of hollownest

@@worthlessrelic if you want my advice, read on. find a charm build you like for the trial, then practice god tamer in hall of gods with it. (I used shaman stone, strength, (unbreakable) hiveblood, and dream wielder - 11 notches. My method's requires charms listed, so I recommend getting all 11) Take it as slow as possible, learn to dreamnail certain enemies and keep them alive until you are at full health and soul (shielded fools, mistakes, baldurs are a bit more tricky but possible) USE SPELLS. a shaman stone- buffed shade soul takes out a primal aspid, and if it double hits can kill a winged fool. You already know this, but you only have to kill the beast. Make sure you go in with full soul and you can absolutely melt it with ddark. As long as you have full everything, don't even bother with strategy just kill it before it kills you and spam ddark

Cyclone Slash. Highly underrated. More useful in the pantheon than Colosseum though. Still, very underrated. Spam the attack button and you attack 8 times. That's nuts.
@@UltimateDragon-ne5ui yep! Each press of the attack button makes it spin another time, up to eight, if I don't misremember. Super useful in specific cases.
I really just wish the f***ing floor part was closer to the beginning so I didn’t have to go another 10 minutes just to die. I feel I’m definitely getting better but this is testing my patience knowing I need to beat it for the last simple key..
Thanks for the tips! It worked! Beating the God Tamer was easier than I thought. If you've got enough health by the end, you can just spam quick nail attacks and spells and it's done. I even ended up with half of my health remaining.
After attempting and failing the trial about 10 times, your video made me understand one particular mistake that I was doing: sticking to a full spell build instead of a melee build (I also did not use nail arts much before). After switching to Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, Mark of Pride, Nailmaster's Glory and Grubsong I was able to beat it first try. Great video!
I somehow completed it with 9 notches and a fart-based build within a few days… I’m not even good so I’m surprised I pulled it off, honestly. Super entertaining video!
I had a comment about how I had way less progression and foolishly proclaimed “I got very far on my first try” Upon actually seeing the parts of the trial I hadn’t seen yet, I realized my “very far” was only about a third of the fight. I deleted the comment to avoid people calling me out for assuming the rest of the trial would be easy, and end all claims I had any idea what I was talking about. Also I'd like to give an advice, if you have 11 notches, just change unbreakable heart on the unbreakable strength and it may really help you defeat big mobs. Furthermore, the most important lesson for me was to stay calm if I progress.

i finALLY BEAT IT. it took like a solid 5 hours of sanity - your video was very funni bc following in ur lead i threw all dodging skills out the window at godtamer and just wailed spells all over the place - i BARELY got it - i was on like 1 mask and then the last desolate dive saved my ass
Rewatching this video and realized I can add to some tips for Godtamer, if any new player is still stuck here and watching this guide :/ DO NOT tempt to heal, regardless if you are wearing quick focus. The Minion and the monster will keep attacking the place you stand. Always dash towards the godtamer after it hit the walls, like 9:19 and 9:29. The minion always does its slam attack when it lands, keep your distance and walk towards it when necessary, annoyingly, it does its attack right when the godtamer dies, like 9:38, kills you right after you are 1 heart and celebrating killing the monster.
My hands are still shaking atm. I finally beat it after numerous times dying at wave 10 (those fkin twisters)! Thanks to this guide, I only died three times at wave 14.

Took me a while, finally did it. My charms: unbreakable heart, quickslash, mark of pride and grubsong. Had already the pure nail and all the abilities unlocked.
I JUST BEAT IT NO WAY! Heres the charms i used: Quick slash, mark of pride, dream wielder, unbreakable strength (huge help), and nailmasters glory. Before these charms i was doing terrible but unbreakable strength and quickslash let me mow them down Tip: u can dream nail the gardepedes as they come down after you beat the brooding malek and heal up, this will prepare you for the fucking hell that is the next stage
this is the part where the game says "fuck you I make the rules" and locks you in a place with no room to heal flesh eating mantises with magical powers and primal asssholes... I never got past the mantises because I am a person who has normal reaction times and can't dodge light(whichever one of the 2 or 3 team cherry members who decided to add mantis petras primal asholes and mantis traitors in A SINGLE ARENA TRIAL is going straight to hell)
replacing quick slash and mark of pride with soul eater and shaman stone works great too. soul eater for ample health and any spare soul for abyss shrieking out of the no platform stage with shaman stone. Nailmaster glory is super fucking great kinda indisposable (coming from someone who doesnt use nail arts a lot)
At 1:39 if you have the dream nail you can farm your soul on the shielded fool! I mean, if you have the extra notch you can use dream wielder charm relyea or this guy you know can show you how to get them!
@@Forbe. I think you need to practice in the art of pogoing on spikes. I suggest doing the path of pain and white palace before doing this trial. Maybe that'll help you get used to it?

I did it! I tried for quite some time one day and didn't even get to the hardest part. After discovering that I wasn't even close to the end and was dying before the floorless part, I was disheartened and gave up on it. But then I saw that the god tamer was the missing kill for the hunter's mark and decided to try harder, because I love collectionist goals... and today I did it, the beast died when I had only one mask left! If I can do it, anyone can 😭 Before beating it, I've tried a lot of nail-based charm combinations, but I finally won when I decided to give carefree melody a try...
I would kill heavy fools first before sturdy fools since the former are fast, but otherwise it’s a great guide! I’ve just beaten this trial with this charm loadup (plus Grubsong).

after i watched this video i beat it on my third attempt. moral of the story: ducking great slash the life out of those a**shiters. Oh and i kept pogoing on the final boss so i wouldnt have to worry about that acid

The spikey floor segment lasts way too long imo. Especially when the ceiling shrinks and by that point I'm already close to death.

I recommend replacing unbreakable heart and thorns of agony for shaman stone. It lets a vengeful spirit kill a lot of the annoying enemies

Tip: if you manage to keep the red enemy (with sword and shield) alive, you can replenish your soul meter, with the dream nail
